rock and rolls are such a cool trick... but I find it scary on anything higher than a mini ramp. Nice to see where you started and where you are right now. well done my friend. Another nice video, good music at the end and nicely edited.

Cheers Ronaldo, I totally agree they do get more scary the higher you go as it begins to feel like a long way down after a certain height. I think I got used to skating the bigger transition just generally before trying them on bigger stuff so it felt a more natural progression to try them along with other tricks. Thanks for checking out the video and I’ll hopefully see you soon 👊🏼

Great timing - I’ve learned them and lost them 3 or 4 times in adulthood and am determined to get them back proper, strong, and forever. Great tip on leaning back slightly along the coping. I think I hunch over a lot when I do them. Looking forward to giving that a shot.

Nice one , hope you manage to get them back and keep hold of them, do at least one per week and you’ll surely lock them in the bag for good 👊🏼

Hey Neil, thanks for sharing. I can definitely relate. Just learned decked rock and rolls on 4 ft.. moving them to 5 ft took ages, felt impossible at first!

Thanks for checking out the video and it’s great to hear that you can relate 👍🏻 it really does feel like the higher you go the more on point you have to be, it seems like you can get away with a lot more on smaller stuff but there comes a certain stage where you need to have it dialled in an go at it with total confidence .

I don't skate very often, but I can only do rock & rolls on 3fters currently, and fail the majority of the time, but confident enough to try each time (if that makes sense). As soon as I get to 4ft+, I don't even attempt. But this is definitely a bookmark for me for when I feel like I want to try on something a bit higher. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for checking out the video 👍🏻 If you’re failing because you don’t make the turn pay special attention to what I say about turning your head and shoulders all the way round to be looking back into the ramp before you start kick turning, it’s the key that makes it all happen.

I have the same thing with Rock to Fakie , did one bailed once and working on it as an adult.

Love this video. Really well explained process. R&Rs are on my wish list for 2024 🤞
Love your Powell Peralta deck wall too. Very similar to mine 😊
What PP board are you skating in this video? I works well for you 🤘🛹

Thank you, go get em ! they are a challenge but just hammer away at them and don’t stop and they just start coming together 👊🏼 I have a lot more decks on other walls too and thinking of doing some more show n tell videos about them. I ride the Bucky Lasek tortoise 🐢 flight deck for miniramps and bowls and the Steve Caballero 216 flight deck for vert ramps I like their longer wheel bases (15” & 15.25”).

@@NeilHesterSkateboarding Show and tell videos about the decks would be cool! I have about 30 scattered around my house and they all have a story. I'd love a video of your board history etc!

@andymason2981 ok cool I’ll try and do that asap, I’ve already done a couple so have a look back through my video history for those.
