Rag Maahma!
The stand up bass never fails to amazes me, i mean that things doesnt have frets!! great job guys i loved it
Hard to believe I missed this for almost 10 years. Great job by all on the tune. Vocal was spot on, and the guitar break was incendiary.
That was a fantastic rendition of Blind Boy Fuller's, Rag Mama Rag. Really great little band guys.
You are very welcome, please keep up the good work, early blues is my kind of music.
Outstanding! Lots of fun! If this music don't put a smile on you face and get your feet tapping, you need to check yourself for a pulse! Love it!
ah...nothing like a good ole' foot stomping song. Excellent!!
I've just got to say...............been watching hundreds.............perhaps thousands............youtube videos in past few months while learning to play Uke and 4 string banjo.....................this band is the GREATEST!..............so much fun to listen to and to play along with..............THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Learning Uke too. Greetings from HUMID Missouri.
@@sarahrickman6609 I have a soprano uke I put 5ths tuning strings on it. It is tuned just like a tenor banjo now. Real easy to play.
YOU CATS ROCK!!!
I've REALLY ENJOYED everything I've seen you wonderful folks do and am pleased you're keeping this genre of music alive!

This is so fun. I wish we lived close enough to see you guys all the time!
Discovering this gem in 2020. I'm surprised as to how this video is not viral. Value of music is not understood by everyone! Lots of love from India. As a 20 year old, considering this is retro folk stuff, I'll have to say its great. I hope you guys have a happy fulfilled life.
Exactly! Do stupid things, you'll get billions of views. Work years on an instrument (i mean 4 people work years on an instrument) and produce positive and quality music, you won't even get 200K views in 7 years hahahaha. HAHA but so SAD!
Came here by mistake, looking for another song. Glad I did. This has rapidly become one of my favorite videos. Is it jus me or does the dude on the right look like Don Herron from Hee Haw?
THE best version of Rag Mama Rag I have ever heard! Thanks very much ... :-)
+Carl B Jim Kweskin and the Jug Band did a terrific version, too.
+Gary Val Tenuta thanks Gary, I'll check it out
Wiyos are good too but check out Blind Boy Fuller's original take😁
I thought this was going to be a dud, but then plot twist... pure gold. Solid stuff.
You two are so cute together and make beautiful music. Your jug band is the bomb. It makes me so happy to listen to your music!! Thank you! wish I had discovered uke/banjo uke years ago. Love all genres of music but the styles you play are particularly near and dear.
Beautiful!
Absolutely brilliant!
What a fun band!! Great song for them. Love the sound!!! NH
OK..now I'm flashing back to the Jim Kweskin Band in Central Park in 1966....when I was inspired to check this stuff out.....
Great take on the old Fuller tune.
Swell!! Great job, Aaron and company!
I love it, I can listen to this all day.
That was awesome! Defy anyone to watch this video and manage to stop their feet from tapping :)
Or their face from smiling!
Love it, love it, love it!
Excellent! And when was the last time you heard a stand up bass played like that? Hooray!

Pure listening pleasure !! NH

Love it!
Big Fun.Thanks for posting this cookin' tune.Peace
Nice picking! I learned to play it from the Kweskin version. This is nice.
I guess if there ain't no banjolin, a tenor banjo will do just as well. Great music, friends. Takes me back to the 60s and Kweskin Jug Band days. The doc was right -- give 'em jug band music.... Everything will turn out fine.
What’s the doc? Would love to know
I like this!

Damned Fingers ! Bass
Quais são os instrumentos usados ?
Hi Aaron, Love this. Can you tell me what tuning you are using on your tenor banjo. And can you tell me if you are using steel or nylon strings? Sounds great. Simon
DGBE with Fluorocarbon ukulele strings.
Great sound . . . what are you using to record?
Que buena onda lpm
Brilliant, love this series of performances. Btw What tuning is the tenor banjo in?
DGBE
@@joserocandio2206 --So, this tenor's tuned as a guitar's first four. I set mine up in Jazz tuning: CGDA. Gotta get used to those heavy strings, after playing 5-string, and uke.
Isn't that beaumont style right hand on guitar.
Aaron....introduce us to the band guys? They are great musicians ....where did they come from...what's their background?
....Loving these vids....keep it up! :)))))
That is Ronnie Ontiveros on bass and Ben Bonham on guitar. Both live in Hood River like us.
As in Oregon? Too bad I left that beautiful area before I knew about you all. Your great playing would have make it worth staying except for the influx of board heads and raging property taxes once the world found the perfectness of sailing the river. Just found you and immediately subscribed. You all are a joy!
Are those regular drumsticks being used on the washboard?
They are plastic snare drum brushes
🎯♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Jamming.
Just excellent.
How the banjo is tuned ?
+Domiuke DGBE
Hot hot hot Jazz. 😍
Hey Aaron. I really love your Jug Band music. Could I ask you what you banjo is tuned to? Thank you so much.
I believe it was tuned dgbe, like a baritone uke.
I feel like David Lee Roth should be singing this song.
Great job ... What kind of guitar is that ?
A Regal from the 1930's. Roy Smeck model.
Aaron where did get that awesome hat
Thrift store in Baltimore, almost 10 years ago.
is that a banjolele? Yall sound amazing.
Tenor banjo
Isn't that Ed Milliband on base ????
Nope, Ronnie Ontiveros!
If that was Ed he try to get a tune out of it by blowing.
can't help but notice the distinct lack of jug
😊
what0s the name of this band?
+Walter Brancatisano www.quietamericanmusic.com
Can someone say how this rhytm thing woman sitting with called?
It’s a washboard.
