I agree! I’ve always been very conservative in my clothing choices but the older I get (I’m 71) the more my likes in fashion changes. I’m just now putting a Pinterest board together of fashions that I love and I want more color and different styles. I’ve always been afraid but not anymore! Like you said, life is short! I’m a seamstress so I can sew a lot of what I love so I have no excuses!

HB, hi Helen, I'm 75, loved the outfits and would definitely wear all of them. It's not about your age, it's how you wear the "high-end fashion" that allows you to carry it off and feel both confident and comfortable with true grace and aplomb. You and me girl, growing older with a sense of fun yet dignified. Love your truthfulness which comes across so well. Keep it up 😍 xxx
Just two years ago and in our late 70s, we became the lovely Amelia's Granny and Granda and now I've become a HB! 😅 She is the grandchild we never thought we’d have so we're very proud. I really love your channel Helen and look forward to it very much. I'm barely 5ft and not confident about fashion but your videos have given me the confidence to try some things outside my comfort zone. Keep doing what you do so well! 👏

I’m 79, very happy to be an HB and I’m no fuddy duddy! I am no fashionista either, but hope I keep up a reasonable standard in my wardrobe. I love everything you do Helen, because you make it all fun and enjoyable, so my heart smiles when your face appears on my TV, usually when I go to bed, ‘down under.’ S.Deer is really a great brand and as you say fun. As a 74 year old I definitely don’t want to fade into the background and feel you should be able to wear whatever you want and not have to wear “old ladies clothes”. You looked fabulous in all the outfits and although I don’t wear much black I particularly loved the black dress. I’ve not been following you for very long but I consider myself an HB and very happy to be one. Thanks for keeping it real.

I love the polka dot top and the slacks, the white blouse is lovely, the grey sweater dress with your boots is killer! Coolest 66-year-old I know! The black, blue & white dress IS fabulous. It looks great with your boots, too. The coat is very smart! I hope S. Deer keeps sending you clothes to try! I love these clothes! I live in Southern California, so we're super casual, but I could see wearing these type of clothes to Beverly Hills/Rodeo drive or a play.

Hi Helen. I'm 73 and definitely a HB! Always look forward to your videos. All the outfits look lovely. I try to wear things a bit different but not too inappropriate for my age. Not ready for the granny look even though I am a great grandma. Really loved the spotted blouse, so unusual at the back xx

Agree Helen. These outfits are fun and funky. And it's good to go outside your comfort zone sometimes for a change. We often get stuck in a rut with fashion and make up. Wear all these outfits as they look fab. Ideal for a day in London. X

I consider myself a HB as I have been following your videos for quite some time now and I love them . I think the blouse and trousers look fabulous on you and is definitely something I'd wear too (I'm 64 and don't consider myself old at all!! ). I think you definitely rock the black dress and it looks great with the boots . The coat is timeless..

Hi Helen..Another HB here. I really liked all of the clothes. It’s a bit of a challenge sometimes to step out of our fashion comfort zone….but can be good fun too. Thankyou for encouraging us to give it a try.

HB Hi Helen, love this style of clothing reminds me of Danish/German clothes. The dresses with your hair down and tousled would look fab. The coat was great I agree with keeping it unbuttoned, your height and posture lends itself to these clothes, I personally hate tiered dresses there’s nothing chic about them at all. Onwards and upwards Helen really do love and look forward to your videos xx

Love your caravan Helen, it’s the same layout as ours with the single beds. Just spent six days just outside Kings Lynn, weather mixed but it’s the most relaxing way to holiday… the day goes by, we read, play UNO and Trivial Pursuit and I take my card making/beading. I bought bi es from IKEA for bread, cakes, biscuits, jams and honey, sauces, tinned goods, just stops everything in one place. Do t forget when nit using your fridge to put a tea towel over the door to keep it open and stop any mould forming. Hope all goes well for your family and you when you get to go, we will be off again soon.

On a recent vlog, you asked reactions to the Hel's Belles introduction.
Yes, I believe you should shelve that part of your greeting. When I started watching, the Hel's Belles part of your intro made me feel a bit sidelined, and marginalised, not part of what seemed to be a clique. Irrational, I know, but there it is.
You've kindly explained that's not the situation at all, everyone can be a Hel's Belle, and I thank you for that. I think that special greeting you give out to the Belles is also getting old, a bit stale.

Well Helen!…have been over to S Deer shop and have to say, I like asymmetrical clothes that are a bit different…. but would not have even thought of buying anything shown on the younger models in the way they were presented!…these clothes look soo much better on you and think the company are very wise to open the idea for older women, over a size 12 to also showcase their products! Loved all of these clothes. I'm 69 and after 50 years of wearing a uniform of sorts I have gone for colours, and various styles and lengths, steer away from black as my skin looks sallow. I've decided that I can dress conservatively when they place me in a chair with a rug over the knees. Go for it

Recycled cellulose comes from paper / wood pulp. As opposed to plastic it is fully biodegradable so much more environmentally friendly

Hi Helen, HB here. You have no right to say you look really good in the first blouse/ trouser outfit - you should be saying really amazing and fantastic! The blouse was such a good design and the trousers very slimming ( hope you don’t mind me saying that) Also loved the second dress as I thought the top balanced out the colourful bottom half and just stopped it being too zany - an individualistic outfit for any party, reception etc. liked the colour of the coat on you but personally prefer a lining to give it more shape on my frame. I still wear my leather biker jacket at 70 and always feel good when wearing it with either dresses or trousers and tops. Anyway Helen , you go girl - you rocked those clothes. I think it's good to push ourselves into new styles, I'm nearly 66 and think it keeps us young, obviously not dressing as lamb but a bit edgey is good and people like you help us try new things.
