Temujin wasn't born into an aristocratic family. He was born into a poor tribe and was abandoned by his people. Forged his own destiny and constantly fought the aristocracy. But otherwise a pretty quick and decent summary.
He was the son of one of the Khans, wasn't he ? Aristocratic family here might translate to someone belonging to a high rank and not necessarily abundance of wealth and privileges.
Genghis khans' first move was already brilliant, give proper merit to his men for motivation and mixing his conquered foes with his loyal men to prevent rebellion. And just like that you get an army that won't ever try to revolt.

Moskwa(Moscow) is a word derived from Mongolian word Mushiga which means Twisted in English. The reason behind the name was the Moskwa river itself. It is very twisted long lake runs through Moscow.
The reason of mongol's expansion was different actually. After united the nomad tribes, it was hard to keep them under one ruler. Because the old revenges between them were still alive and old tribe structure was alive in their mind despite Chingis khaan dismantled the structure. Then Chingis khaan knew that If everyone had a same enemy, problem could be solved. This was the actual reason of the Expansion. Now, that reason is also very active in USA!
The military strength of the Southern Song Dynasty was also very strong. The Eastern Asian armor in the 13th century was heavier than Europe. The Mongols wore leather armor. After defeating the Southern Song and other forces’ iron cavalry, they conquered half of Europe. This is the most terrifying.
My English (yes, English. The education system is a joke) was teaching us about how white people were able to colonize and conquer so much because they were simply lucky because Europe was geographically good. I brought up how Genghis Khan and the Mongols conquered an insane amount of land, and she didn’t really have much to say in response.

Not really, the Empire just that short for a reason, they didn't hold any power other than a bow.
What about the British Empire?

Excellently done. I teach World History, and I fear that the soft-spoken tone of the video may cause some of my students to lose interest. But the writing and artistry of the video is simply superb.

Partly because he was a mild indophile because of many similarities in culture.
Muslims defended India... that guy named allaudin khilji but Babur who ruled central India was a descendant of chinggis himself.
Mongolian empire descendants never conquered south Asia at all
He was from Timurid dynasty actually
Although it was an extraordinary fast growing empire, we cannot forget how bloody it was.
That is just one of the lies in the video. But good catch.
He was from lineage of rulers which dates back to 600th. So he was aristocratic, yes
Genghis khans' first move was already brilliant, give proper merit to his men for motivation and mixing his conquered foes with his loyal men to prevent rebellion. And just like that you get an army that won't ever try to revolt.
Thanks for sharing interesting history. From other sources i learned that the expansion of the empire was done with great amounts of brutality and casulties. Like many millions. A little bit more attention to this part would have been good i think.

I'm in love with your videos. They are clear, interesting, entertaining and cool!

Lamellar armor: am I a joke to you?
My English (yes, English. The education system is a joke) was teaching us about how white people were able to colonize and conquer so much because they were simply lucky because Europe was geographically good. I brought up how Genghis Khan and the Mongols conquered an insane amount of land, and she didn’t really have much to say in response.
Asia: "You took everything from me."
Genghis Khan: "I don't even know who you are."

What an incredible piece of knowledge . Thanks

You don't know but this robust empire was defeated by Dai Viet (Vietnam now; during the time of Tran Dynasty) 3 times when it tried to conquer the land of southern China ( in 1258, 1285, and 1287-88)
