I've been digging the playing of a chap called Pierre Danel and this little legato move reminds me of @tomquayleguitar . I'm trying to get it into my playing so decided to break it down - hope you find it useful!

Good timing! This week it finally clicked and I was able to feel the subdivisions when blazing up and down 3 nps scales, so now it’s just a matter of expanding what I already know and incorporating it into my improv like you and Quayle. Thanks for the help, John!

I can play long legato lines like Shawn lane, brett garsed, derek taylor, etc. After all the years of practice I found that the key is the relax of the tumb finger back on the neck. At first I was doing more roll specialy on the center fingers and put some extra streng, but isn't much fluid. Well it's also depend of the action of strings.

Well here's a chance for an experiment. I have the same guitar as in this vid. What patch is this? I would be interested to see how close my speakers get to this sound (although I guess I would need to upload it to UA-cam to accurately compare). As for my legato playing.....😆
Holy crap!! Just How MUCH compression are you using here? No wonder I never really manage to "take off"... My OD tone is prolly way too "transparent" and not fatty enough.... Hmm.
