Man, you two rocked, but seeing you actually enjoy the whole thing going on and reckoning Quayle's playing by "staring" his fretboard while he plays was amazing! Don't know why some guitarist avoid doing that..
Yeah. I can't help doing that ,,, I watch the other one that's not playing and you can see,, when they're following, but also when they think the line takes an unexpected turn, that they wouldn't have done ,, like a surprise ,, its all amazing no matter how you look at it ,, just the sound alone ,, great sound control .. everything right there
Even Nick acknowledged it....i replayed that part atleast 5 times to figure out the notes but mostly just for the feel of it at the end of that run....sublime...
Absolutely greatness. Take my hat off. I'm sure anyone would agree this the best ever of 2 great guitar players. & straight off the bat. Real guitar Players. I just wish they could show some of there licks . But trying my best to copy. But along way to go ha. & why is it these guys are not famous. And please dont judge who the best. Cos there both great... i play this in my cab & the people go quiet and are dreaming. Wish i could practise all day but drive all day. Dam.
Some gnarly ass blues licks. Watching Quayle, he doesn't even look, but you can see him envisioning the entire fretboard like some kind of insane savant. Great job by both players.
Sometimes, Toms mimic reminds me of Rick Beato, expressing his feelings. I love how both of them react to special great moments in the playing of the other. Makes me good feelings.
Practice makes perfect guys. Just don't get too down on yourselves...I know learning can be frustrating sometimes. It seems like you're both having fun, and that's all that matters!
Both players have their own taste for sure. Nick gives that traditional and classical blues - if that's what you want in your album. Tom gives you that Fusion Blues/Jazz feel - if you want something a little special, smooth, and different on your album. I've always been a traditional blues guy...but I prefer Tom. This is because I want something different. I believe, Tom's Jazz recipe will make me as a better player. Lol.
two ridiculously talented and tasteful players! Both have some phenomenal teaching materials available too which is a real privilege for a student like me to learn from, masters of their trade.
That was like watching Federer and Nadal trade groundstrokes - such different styles but both so incredible. Absolutely love the mutual respect. Nick's expressions at Tom's otherwordly runs was terrific. And what a monster player Nick is....Just AWESOME guys....I needed that today....
I keep coming back to this video man. as much as I love the intensity of blues that nick is absolutely delivering here. Tom is just amazing man his lines are so interesting and refreshing and pleasant to the ear
Hi Tom, I'm one of your biggest fans. Tom, I've been watching you for years, and today, I said, when am I going to hear you play? I saw it today In a video with Nick Jennison, your solo brought tears to my eyes. you have a gift Thank you
True but given Tom’s insane skills, it would be pretty hard for him to lose a “guitar battle.” If I could play like Tom, I would jam with whoever and not care either lol
I keep coming to watch this video almost every day the past few months... I don't understand why this video hasn't blown with millions of views, Tom Quayle has set new league for guitar playing! I'm practicing from your videos and charts Tom, thanks for sharing your knowledge! 🙌
Good shit. Really good shit. I love how you two just close your eyes and listen to each other. I love all the unexpected things. That is the best part.
Thumbs up and subscribed. Loved the trade-off between you two. After over 50 years playing, man, I can't seem to get enough. And I really love great musicians. Both of you more than qualify. Loved it guys. Ggod bless you both
Great jam fellas, really enjoyed listening. Tom Quayle your playing never stops amazing me, would really like to hear you jam with Oz Noy , who I’m sure you would know as he is an absolute beast of a player just as you are Tom!
Came here from Rhett Shull. Subscribed because it’s awesome. Love Nick’s pickup switching speed;). This jam was awesome, 2 different styles but went together so smoothly. Damn I wish I wasn’t so old.
Such a blessing it is to first choose and then decide to be a guitah player. I’ve only recently stumbled upon Master Quayle, but already the advice for consistency in using the very finger tips is reshaping the sound of my legato. Thank you. Master Nick... nice too see you 🖖🏽👽😌🕶🤘🏾
some people have a way with words, tom has a way with notes. nick's face when tom does something awesome is hilarious but also completely valid! to be fair, nick's note choice is also friggin amazing
Wow, amazing jamming!. Learning a lot from it too. Tom Quayle is probably the guitar player that uses the most effectively the melodic minor scale in the modern fusion world at least.
Just so cool! Impressive display of musicality a side of the obvious mind boggling command of the instrument. Tom seems to edge it when it comes to variation/musical pallette/technical skill level. Thank you guys!
Total pleasure jamming this out with you dude! Loved hearing your take on this track 🔥
Very tasteful playing guys! You guys inspired me (and I'm sure hundreds other guitarists) to play along! Is there any way to get the backing track?
Man, you two rocked, but seeing you actually enjoy the whole thing going on and reckoning Quayle's playing by "staring" his fretboard while he plays was amazing! Don't know why some guitarist avoid doing that..
NickJennison wow, just wow! Beautiful playing. I’ll be looking you up.thanks.
Such humble reactions really inspire. Cheers Bro!
Eduardo Diniz that’s a sign of humility
Nick Jennison never heard of him he’s amazing.
Me neither. I'll definitely check him out.
nick is absolutes genius his phrasing is great
Just had one of the best times in my life as a guitarist, watching two guys sitting on a sofa!
I must say Nicks blues skills are mindblowing. A classic.
I love the expressions on Nicks face when he watches Tom - and his playing is also stellar. Great jam guys !
Yeah. I can't help doing that ,,, I watch the other one that's not playing and you can see,, when they're following, but also when they think the line takes an unexpected turn, that they wouldn't have done ,, like a surprise ,, its all amazing no matter how you look at it ,, just the sound alone ,, great sound control .. everything right there
Feeling guilty about all the licks I’m gonna rip off from this video. Really nice gentlemen!
Taking nothing away from Nick but Tom just blows me away every time I watch him play .. his note connection is 2nd to none 🙏🙏🙏
6:24 you can literally see the moment Tom recognises the passing chord being outlined, haha.
Awesome playing both, wow!
It seems like at the end, Nick started doing these jazzy lydian/whole tone lines aftrt hearing Tom use them a few times. Great playing from both.
thats whats supposed to happen in a good jam, you vibe off each other!
Both did great liked Nick's tone and straighter blues a little better
Got to be one of the best duets I've seen on UA-cam. Well done guys.
1:29 - favorite lick I've ever heard. This should have more views.
Even Nick acknowledged it....i replayed that part atleast 5 times to figure out the notes but mostly just for the feel of it at the end of that run....sublime...
Tom is such a badass
Absolutely greatness. Take my hat off. I'm sure anyone would agree this the best ever of 2 great guitar players. & straight off the bat. Real guitar Players. Rock n Roll Jesus watching Tom like he's getting moist.
Still so awesome to watch!
Hearing Nicks tone and style change on his second entry in response to Tom's Style was stellar.
Great guitarplayers, Amazing!!!!!!
And Nick can even sing amazingly too
Some gnarly ass blues licks. Watching Quayle, he doesn't even look, but you can see him envisioning the entire fretboard like some kind of insane savant. Great job by both players.

Wow ...Tom on a bluesy ride ....incredible and really enjoyable ...perfect to balance Nick's super phrasing ...
Love the reactions of NICK JENNISON )))
Impressed to see that they both are standing at two very different levels....
Nick did an absolutely FILTHY job here. Loved this so much, Tom being an absolute face of the living tribunal as always.
Thanks for introducing Nick Jennison for us who never heard of him. Beautiful
Tom absolutely amazing playing
PURE BLUES GOLD
Good to see you representing the family name well, Tom! My grandfather was born in London.
The more Tom looks away the crazier he gets 😂 just an amazing jam all around though, beautiful!
Tom all the way! Hes just in a different way level !🔥
Tom note choices and timing just flawless 💯
Shine on you crazy Diamond
Tom, you have created a new, moving blues language. Expanding and transcending pentatonic/myxolydian clichés. Thank you for sharing your brilliance.
Thank you so much for sharing. Watching both of you together is just incredible
The talent, and passion of these guys is somewhere passed Pluto! I also think it’s great that Jesus is now endorsing PRS!
Both players have their own taste for sure. Nick gives that traditional and classical blues - if that's what you want in your album. Tom's harmonic complexity and phrases are just not fair ! 😝
Couple of seriously good players, each in their own way. Very inspiring!
Really enjoyed listening to both of you. Inspirational !
I always come back to watch that video when I need to hear the bluesy blues feel!. That was a great serie. Keep it up guys!
two ridiculously talented and tasteful players! Both have some phenomenal teaching materials available too which is a real privilege for a student like me to learn from, masters of their trade.

celestial
There is no competition here. Just two guys enjoying others talents
Brilliant would be an inadequate way to describe this jam! First time for me hearing Nick. What a discovery!!
Very Good!

What I love about Tom is he's never afraid of combat, he always takes it just like another day of practice.
True but given Tom’s insane skills, it would be pretty hard for him to lose a “guitar battle.” If I could play like Tom, I would jam with whoever and not care either lol
Off the charts guys, true masters.
Tom plays more to my taste. Thank you both
So

Brilliant both you guys !
