I just used the foam spacer to adjust it. I had to reduce the volume to 50% and can feel the base. Using a LS2 metro evo and 20s evo.

I have the SLR2 on a Shoei Neotec. It’s a pity they don’t have the possibility to get those better audio quality speakers now available for the 20S, or 30K on the Sena range. It should exist a way of doing it, to get some more bass quality I lack on the standard SLR2 speaker system. Thanks.
I wouldn’t say they are that great although I haven’t tried any others but I just got my 50 S today and I am extremely dissatisfied with the volume level.

OK I gave your support video a Thumbs Up because you at least produced it with some good content packaged with decent production values. However! Probably the most significant tip was on speaker placement. Pretty much common sense yet I’m sure there are lots of folks that need to receive that message directly and clearly. I recently purchased a Shoei J-Cruise II and the matching Sena SRL2 communicator. These products are designed for each other. After seeing your video I took a closer look at the speaker placement in the helmet. I noticed that the speaker is flush up against the cheek pad to the front and bottom. This placement insures that the speaker will be some distance from the ear as the padding is thick and stands out much further than the speakers. I also noticed that speaker placement on this helmet is virtually set from the factory. Does Sena have a Velcro based product that could go into the speaker well first and then allow for the speaker to be attached on top? I have a brand new helmet, communicator and BMW R1250RT and not being able to hear navigation guidance is extremely frustrating 😖🤯😡
yes with the 50s and 50r models it comes with velcro stepping pads that fill the gaps in helmets with cutouts for easier placement
I wear Big Ear custom ear plugs and I use to be able to hear my passenger(wife) ok with my 30K, but after a couple of years I can't get enough volume to hear her. I have switched to the thicker pad to get the speakers closer to my ear. didn't help , just made it uncomfortable. Could there be an issue with my 30K?
I just got some earbuds to use with my 20S that I've had since 2014. When I plug them in to the base unit, I can hear my music, but when I go to answer a call or use voice commands, the mic doesnt work at all and I also can't hear the audio from the phone call. Is this just a firmware issue, or do I need to buy an adapter to have full functionality again?
soon as i switch it on it blast my eardrums with the hello voice ,then when i play my music it suddenly goes into whisper mode so i cant hear my music....>TURN IT UP.
All great tips. Now how about getting great sound in wet weather from a 20S or 30K. So many people have the same issue. In wet conditions water gets to the contacts and the head sets keeps giving the voice command ‘Public mode’ and then operation becomes erratic and eventually unusable until the whole kit is dried out.
WhiskyJackR just get a Packtalk bold with JBL sound. Also waterproof.
Sorry, I've had 4 Sena products including SRL and SRL2 (because it fits in my Neotec Helmet) and the sound quality is terrible. The phone quality is almost inaudible and the music needs to be quite low or I just get a Base vibration.
I can't find the audio boost setting in the Sena Bluetooth Device Manager app on my OS X computer. The instructions say to use the "Sena Mobile App," but which app specifically? There are ton of different apps on the iOS app store. I have the Sena 50S, do I even need to do this step? Better documentation would be good.
What about playing music and intercom at the same time?? Intercom gets staticky when playing music.
How thin are the small speakers in relation to the normal speakers?? The normal seems to be 6,5...
I have both the 20c evo and the 50c evo but the 50c is not as loud as the 20c so I can't really understand my music at slightly higher speeds, and i have tried everything to make it louder but the sound is still too soft
Why does the boom mic on my 20s sound so bad? It's just not loud? I've updated it with no improvement, also the speakers on my 20s crackle. My smh10r is louder and the speakers are clearer.
How come my headset works for phone calls but not music?
What about if i can hear myself during a phone call? Little bit off putting

An easier solution would be for SENA to use quality speakers with a $300 set and us not have to search youtube for mods on how to get better sound from brand new over priced headsets MADE IN CHINA. There I fixed it.

I’m starting to think the same exact thing, I just spent over $600 on a pair of 50 asses, well at least my voice to text gets it right. Lol.
Now Harley is selling full face helmets with "premier sound" Sena units built in. It's called the Outrush helmet. I bought one against my better judgement to get better speakers. Nope. They are the same outdated tech that's in the SMH-10 unit that I've had for 7 years on another helmet. Still sounds like shit and still pairs like shit.
Can I upgrade the speakers for my 10U? I already positioned the speakers as best I can, and use earplugs, but I'm itching for better bass and clarity.

Can you give me some tips on how to make the sena remote app work with my 30K. It worked on my iPhone 6s but will not work on my iPhone X?
Hi Kevin. Please make sure that the firmware is up to date through the Sena Device Manager as the latest firmware improved the compatibility with our apps on iPhones with iOS 13 installed. Thanks.

is there an eq adjustment or a balance adjustor? my left one is a bit louder than the right one and id like to tune the speakers a bit
Hi. Unfortunately, that is not possible so we recommend adjusting the positioning of the speaker in relation to your ear and use the foam padded spacers that come included with the headset. Thanks.
Me slr2 is not audible at highway speeds except from the gps
Recently, I purchased Sena 3s Plus V1.0.2. After use of 3 days suddenly it's hearing problem with left side mic and when i up volume it's hearing problem with sound. I am so shocked about Sena. Sucks

My audio is stronger in my left ear. I can hear about 70% on the left and 30% on the right. I have checked all wiring and everything is as it should. Read that this is a common issue on sena and intercoms in general. The best option is to just buy airpods or earplugs. Dont bother with these intercoms....

How do I play music from 1 device in 2 helmets?
Me and my friend did alot of riding last year where we used the Spotify group session feature. He invited me as the host of the music session and put on our custom bike playlist. Both talking to each other at the same time as playing the same music from our phones for the full roadtrip experience :)
Will the Sena utility app work with the 3 S ?
Using a SLR2 on my shoei air and it feels like an absolute scam.
Just to point out that Cardo units are rated at IP67 and are relatively waterproof (backed by the manufacturer) whereas Sena units are NOT waterproof or water resistant in any way. Sena units come with 'dust covers' for open ports and button gaiters etc but are not suitable for rain! Sena make no mention of 'weatherproofing of any of its product documentation. I live in Northern England and found out the hard way. Wet weather riders be warned!
Pro Tip: buy the Sena Momentum Helmet and you'll have the best audio quality and fitment possible in your helmet. Wore it across the USA and it made the trip enjoyable and comfortable.
Still great tips for all other units, esp centering the speaker on where your ear sits. Huge difference.
How do you get good sound play back from the Sena Momentum Pro Helmet? It's seems to clip really badly. The Sena comm is fine but when recording video and audio the audio play back is very choppy.

All this is bullshit. My phone quality was perfect. Now it’s terrible while music is great. I had my BMW tft and nav6 and phone and Sena working perfectly. I think an apple upgrade screwed of up. It’s insane that users grovel with each other for answers. Like Microsoft. Do a reset. Next.
When I simply used plug in ear buds sound was much better
DONT BUY SENA _ 50S is terrible for volume ! impossible to get as high as 20s -Never buying again -support is terrible.
I got 4 of them and me, my wife, brother and wife are very happy of it.
A lot of options make it sometimes difficult but every thing we need is working.
