Sena’s do-it-all 10C just got better. Now equipped with Bluetooth 4.1, this WiFi enabled comms unit and camera is packed into a unibody design. The camera’s capable of 1440p QHD video with 3.7MP still shot image capture, or 1080p:60fps/1440p: 30fps so you can capture all the action. On the communication side, the Bluetooth intercom works up to 1.6 kilometers (1.0 mile) in open terrain. Additional features include voice prompts, Smartphone Camera and Headset App for iPhone and Android, Advanced Noise Control, and simple operation with Sena’s versatile Jog Dial. An optional Handlebar Remote support is sold separately. The Sena 10C is water resistant for use in inclement weather.
Really smart of Sena to allow to charge it while riding. Looking at some videos online, this will not sway me from recording with my GoPro; however, it's perfect for those who want to document if anything happens. Drop a 5k-10k mAh power bank in your jacket's pocket and run a wire to keep it charged all day.
The original 10C could charge and record at same time, did it all the time.
The earlier 10C DOES allow charging while in use. I do it frequently. Just one correction to your review.

Indeed. Put a battery pack in your breast pocket of your riding jacket and just let the camera stay charged while riding and recording. Once the rain comes, you close up the hatches and unplug the unit for another 2 hours of catching all those rain drops on the lens :-)
I am also using a 64Gb card formatted to Fat32 in 10C.
I second this, I use a battery pack all the time. Also, I am able to use a 128 GB SD card in mine just fine.

Excited about this kind of device. Not terribly excited about 4 hours battery life but it is doing quite a bit of work.
Good review except I need to correct something that was said about the previous model of 10c. You CAN charge the battery while you record.. I do it now. I use a battery charge pack in a pocket in my jacket and leave the device plugged in all day. When the unit is in video loop (or video tag mode as Sena calls it) it drains the battery quickly. The external battery pack connected keeps charge up for most of the day.
Great review. Although partly wrong. The original Sena 10C did work while charging it. I had an external battery pack on my schoulder with a cable running up to the 10C, so i could also have an extended battery life :p
Sclaus89 , you’re correct. I plug my 10C into my bike for continuous power. An oversight on his part.
How long is battery? Also can you use just the comms or music without the camera? Is it now FINALLY waterproof or it isnt like the rest of the Sena stuff?
Pass-through charging worked on the old 10c.

3.7MP camara...wow....lol! Brilliant concept but that video quality honestly looks like one of the first GoPros I had...10 years ago. Just cause they call it "HD" doesn't mean it's really HD.
"HD" means 720p. "HD" needs to be retired because it is just a marketing dribble term now. Comparable to "lightweight, heavy duty, waterproof, hyper fast (or any other kind of fast), performance, and professional."
@@SirNarax But who really uses the term "HD" anyways? I'd assume most people know to look at the actual resolution(720, 1080..etc).
@@TitusLennon If you understand the resolutions you do. Some people still don't understand what those numbers mean and don't understand that resolution isn't everything anyway. You can have a grainy and washed out image but call it HD because it is 720p.

WRONG - I have the 10C and you could keep it charged while filming all day. Mine still works. I carried a battery with a USB cord connected to the device and it works all day every day.
They need to add mesh to this and it would be a game changer

Hello from 🇺🇸Harrisburg Pennsylvania 🇺🇸 I also have a older 10c And just upgraded to 10C pro I do all my editing using my I pad pro 12.9 3rd Generation with a apple cardreader , I can’t get any videos or photos off my New SD cards using cardreader why is that 😡 I’ve tried 5 different microSD cards all the cards works fine with my Go Pro camera 📷 and both DJI DRONES and my Sony camera 📸 works great no issues using my cardreader I only have a Problem with this new SENA 10C pro The old 10C and my The cardreader works fine 😎and whenever I use the SENA app OMG a 2 minutes video takes over 5 minutes to download, to my 3rd generation iPad Pro 12.9 I don’t use a regular computer yes I know the 10c Pro download much faster and works fine on a regular computer 💻 But I’ve through away my old labTop and bought this newer. I pad Pro 12.9 3rd generation 🥺 Anyone please help me use my Cardreader with this 10C pro 📸🛵📸

sorry but that video quality you showed is equivalant to buying some cheap "chinese/korean" 50 dollar action cam... Cam + a meh mic DOES NOT equal being worth the current price tag...
That's because this is a cheap Korean action cam, but good luck finding anything better unfortunately. I'm looking around after ~3-4 years on a prizm tube that finally crapped out (and a variety of those gopro esque knock offs in the beginning) and I'm pretty shocked to find literally nothing has changed.
Nobody uses a good sensor for these things. I don't know why. A company could charge an exorbitant amount for a helmet cam with a good CCD in a decent package because they just dont exist yet in this space. It could be sold for fire and police as requirements can overlap there, which is (probably) another huge margin cash cow market. A good sensor that would blow this out of the water are virtually commodity grade now thanks to the cell phone market over just the past 5 years.
The thing is making a device that does everything the Sena 10c here does for a - as a counterpoint to above, fairly niche - market like helmet cams frankly should cost around what this costs. If its good at it. I simply wouldn't believe its worth a damn if it didn't, there is a lot going on here. But part of that is ... you know... making sure its good. Such as splurging the $7.90 instead of $1.30 for the sensor. This is normally a bs argument in other almost any other hypothetical bitching-about-manufacturing scenario, but not this one. Everything else is in place! It already has to handle what a higher quality sensor puts out with its cheap one! The R&D is done! Its literally a different plug n play component on the PCB and I'm CERTAIN even if they didn't roll in that additional cost to the retail price they'd make everything they might have "lost" over a quarter in a week in increased sales. If not, roll it in, everybody would be happy to pay for it. Hell mark that difference up 500% and make everybody happy in every corner.
Everybody in the world knows what a camera can do now and yes things have changed rapidly in just 5 years but I just don't get it. Whoever does it first is going to wipe the floor and become the defacto standard helmet cam even if everything else about it kind of sucks.
Didn't expect to go into a rant but oh well thats what youtube is for eh. Unfortunately cheap faux pros action cams are just not an option for me. They suck too hard and are laughably unreliable, and I like wired mics and some form of audio. I ride every single day at the very least to and from work so... here I go spending $309 on a shitty camera, lol.

It is rated to 14 degrees F, so you could very easily use it in snow, just not sub zero temps.

Dosen't it bother anyone that the video showes the side of the helment?
This sounds ideal, does the Sena 10C Pro have mesh capability so I can communicate with 5-plus riders who're on the mesh network and riders who own com devices not made by Sena? I'm assuming it doesn't because you never mentioned it; if this unit had the function, you would have mentioned it as a selling point. Is my assumption correct?
That is correct, the 10C does not feature mesh capability.

I cannot believe no Image Stabilization. Little disappointed on that. All in one unit is nice as I did have the original 10C. Was hoping for better image quality tho.

Not really, no. Even mounted on the left side, the helmet doesn't really block much of the frame, so you get a good view. -DrewZilla
Have watched several vid's on this as I am looking for such a set up but the one thing I have noticed that it does not have is Image Stabilization... Every thing else is exactlly what I'm looking for but the image shakiness is a let down...

You wouldn't want to.
As a communicator, the Sena 10C Pro has all the same capabilities as the 10S Headset which is a very good unit. You will be able to make and receive phone calls, participate in up to a 4-person intercom conference between other Sena riders, and listen to music streamed from your phone or some other source. -DM
Can the 10c pro work with the Sena Savage?
Unfortunately, no, it cannot. Since the Savage already has a communicator integrated, there's no way for the 10C Pro to use the microphone or speakers already installed in the Savage Helmet. -DrewZilla
I'm having problems with getting my phone to upload any pictures or videos to my phone or the messenger , I heard there's some settings in my phone that may need to be changed but I don't know where to find it
Buy a 100 dollar action camera and a cheap small digital recorder. You will save money and have better quality for videos. You don't get the bluetooth but this is a Sena bluetooth so you are not missing much.

Can the unit record both sides of a conversation?
Indeed it can! This feature is called *Smart Audio Mix*, and it is enabled by default. Smart Audio Mix allows you to record everything you hear through your speakers as well as your voice during video recording. This can be configured via the Camera Configuration menu by holding the camera button for five seconds until you hear the voice prompt, "Camera Setup". You would then rotate the jog dial to navigate to the "Speaker Sound Recording" menu item. "On" records everything you hear in your speakers. "Off" just records your voice. You then tap the phone button to confirm the setting in the menu. -DrewZilla

Video tagging from what I understand is when you can tap a button and the sena will tag 3 minutes before the tap and 2 minutes after that's so you won't have to edit so much after a ride, you can just go to those places that are tagged but the sena 10c Pro doesn't have that option, the sena 10c does though from what I understand. I bought the pro and it won't do it.
when you get a phone call, does it record call if you're recording video at the same time? if linked with passenger, do they hear the call as well?
To record a phone call or record the voice of a linked intercom partner, you must enable _Speaker Sound Recording_ in the configuration menu. By default, this is off. To connect a linked passenger to a phone call, just tap the jog dial during the phone call. Otherwise, the linked passenger won't hear the phone call. Hope this helps! -DrewZilla

You might need a WiFi external hard drive. Look up Henny Tha Bizness on UA-cam. He uses an iPad Pro for his video (and music) production. -DrewZilla
Tony, I just looked this up since I also have iOS devices including a 12.9. Apple sells an SD card reader with a lightning adapter. So theoretically, you’d put the SD card into the adapter, and plug the other end into your lightning port. How the software handles this, I cannot say. But I can guess. The movies will probably go right into your photos.
You can upload them to Dropbox or iCloud. Anyway, don’t quote me on all this, but it seems like a reasonable and simple solution.

How the hell does Sena manage to have a potato quality camera with no image stabilization in 2019. The video quality of this camera is unacceptable, at any price point.
they can't sell you everything 1st time out. They need to get people hooked first, than come out with new model that improves on it. Cell phones are the same way.
The iam of this device is being an intercom, the cam is an option, if you want a high quality action cam, you'll go for a GoPro or something. Don't know why ppl always compare an action cam with an intercom.
Sena lacks in video quality upgrades, this was also the case when the Prism Tube and Sena 10c came out years ago. There were already better video recording camera's available, but non of those have the simplicity of the Sena 10c, all-in-one setup. But, the Sena 10c sales were not that great i think, considering they took about 4 years before releasing a follow-up (10c pro). They had the Sena 10c Evo announced for a long time, eventually skipping this and going for the 10c Pro. I suspect they will wait the sales of this device before fully going for a real upgrade. Remember, people already complain this costs much. To me however this is cheap considering you get it all in one device. Go buy a GoPro and a intercom system. I doubt you'll do that for the price this 10c Pro goes for. In the end, its just a persons personal choice and opinion on what he/she wants. I'm still considering getting the pro version, even when i have the original 10c and a GoPro 7.
It's just stupid for the GoPro7 to have an adapter to record audio from your intercom, the setup in the helmet is just clumsy. This version solves this fast and easy.
I'll just use the GoPro for secondary view, mount it on my handlebars or something and film myself and the rear. :p
@Robert Wiley hey, i don't own the 10c pro. Nor do i work for Sena xD. I'm actually using the GoPro more nowadays and don't use a intercom.
As for your sd card problem, try to formart your sd card, in the computer and on the device, maybe that will help?
To connect via Wifi, turn on bluetooth and wifi on phone/device. Connect. Works on my GoPro like a charm, its fun to live see on your phone the view of your camera field :p

wouldn't see why not. As long as it has a micro usb port. The unit would not know if it was a charging cord or a powerbank. Power is power.

Eh... The quality is meh. And if the speakers are like my 20s, can't hear them over my bike.
Just bought one haven't really tried it out yet. I thought the speakers were just ok then figured out I forgot to take the plastic protection film off. Again I haven't ridden with it playing music but sound great. Also I'm on a Spyder not a loud machine.
Putting it on the left side means it won't record the right side. No thanks. I'll make a GoPro setup. I want to be able to record everything in front of me with a wide field of view.
Cool product but sena needs to realize the side view for vloggers are becoming extint....thats just one fact...
Side looks better than having the camera in the chin
While a lot of vloggers are sticking their GoPro to the chin, this is still far from the only solution. It boils down to the image quality. If Sena releases a version that has a UV filter and higher bitrate, then it would not matter that the unit is side mounted, as it will allow you to run/charge/connect ONE device that is always on your helmet and connects to your friends.

The bluetooth aspect is great.
The wifi is garbage. Only 1 out of a 1000 times will it connect to wifi. Even when wifi is at full bars it gives the message maybe later when connection is stronger. Paid nearly 400 bucks for a camera that won't let me look at the photos I've taken or the video's I've shot unless I connect to wifi which it refuses to do. Garbage

@@brianbrooking496 I just bought the 10c Pro. I haven't really used it yet. My opinion if you're motovlogging or recording your ride it's worth it. If you ride with a large group and want to talk to everyone then get a 30k or Cardo. Personally I don't like the look of the GoPro mounted on a helmet. The 10c Pro has a more refined look. Any all in one device has limitations.
