Liam reacting so strongly to Nott’s little invisible forehead kiss hurts me cause the last person that probably did that to Caleb was his parents and I’m hurting
It was at a point in the game where ink and paper were on the backburner. As for the Keen Mind feat, it'd be pretty broken if he could just memorize a spell scroll even after it's been used up, so Mercer probably ruled he couldn't use it for that purpose
@@secpendragon9760 you need the scroll to do it, stated by the class feature, the scroll gets consumed during the process. Best not to thunk to hard about it.
What does Liam say in the end? "The gates" or something is what the subtitles say, but I can't make out what it is. Pretty sure he didn't say "the gates" though, would be a little weird if he did. xD
Ah! Thank you. Even though I've had like 2 years of german and live right up against Germany and have been on vacation there many many many many times over I still just can't understand nor speak it. It just...nope I can't. But thanks! ^^
Hannah Ciaran sort of, Caleb would've been killed much earlier by Lorenzo and his friends because of what he did before. (The slow spell and all that.) So I think the enemies would've targeted him from the beginning if he was visible.
Plus Caleb is a wizard with a lower Armor Class and less hit points than his friends. He would have likely ended up unconscious/dead if he was visibile. This way he didn't get hit at all in the dungeons until later with Lorenzo. Plus it turned out Lorenzo was invisible and stalking them all for ages. He may have attacked sooner if Caleb was visible. We just don't know.
It prevented any potential damage and enemy attention for the most part, which is the only reason he was able to take Lorenzo's full wrath for a round. He was in the midst of most of the fights when he'd normally be hiding or at range, and, as a side effect, it made him conserve his magic since casting any spell would have ended it. If it wasn't so fast-paced and if Frumpkin was lost earlier, he could have provided some additional reconnaissance for the party if necessary. It mostly gave him the option to choose when and where he might be most effective, though, which is what I think Liam intended to do with it. Invisibility is not the most effective on mages because of that flaw with casting additional spells, but it does allow for that one surprise spell that could help turn the tide of battle. As an example of an alternate use in this situation: the way I play Wizards, I would have kept a Counterspell prepared for that Cone of Cold and remained invisible until that moment and hoped that I roll high enough to stop it. It's a gamble, but it's something Lorenzo would not have seen coming, and it could prevent a lot of damage to the party. Of course, he probably would have tried to escape faster then, knowing he lost the advantage whereas he fully believed he had it here against the M9, so it may end up changing the end result, but it's all hypothetical anyway. :)
sandssavvy maybe... I don’t know. He was visible for most of the actual fight though... I’m just saying he didn’t do anything while invisible that he couldn’t have done if he was visible
The thing is Caleb had only level 1 spell slots available and apparently none of the ones he prepped were useful hence him only casting cantrips, plus after one (or 2 i don't remember) rounds of attack from Lorenzo full HP Caleb was down to 2HP. So he just couldn't really be useful before the Lorenzo showdown, and him getting hurt beforehand plus being visible to Lorenzo who knows how dangerous he can be well Caleb would get knocked unconscious immediately il not killed. To me that invisibility was the best move could have done honeslty.

Whoever yelled "Caleb the Brave", I appreciate yooooou
Caleb is hilarious at 5:19. “They....are...... going........to............die”
6:10 The fact that it is CALEB doing this, the one who acts all proper, makes it all the more hilarious.
Caleb's "Wie geht's" was on point. Ha ha.
German for "how are you?"
swordude40 I was wondering what he said
Keg is like a baby and all Caleb did was cover his face.
2:20 Caleb character development, yay
Caleb the Brave- he has been adopted for real now
5:50 "Evil McCree Go Away!" 😂😂😂
I'm laughing cuz yeahh he sound like evil mcree
5:49 Did someone yell out "McCree go away!" or am I hearing things?
I heard “You’re a creep, go away!” But you’re right it is close!
i've been assuming it was "evil mccree go away!" for a while, mostly because lorenzo sounds like evil mccree to me
@@shadycactus6146 he does LOL
It was evil Mccree go away
Perfect example of why Brian tells everyone to be quite during the show

Marisha: *I DON'T HAVE A PLAN*
She was just hoping a plan would pop into her head if she kept talking 🤣
2:33 for caleb the brave!
Brave, dead. It's semantics, really.
Omg just realised Lorenzo sounds like if McCree was apart of talon
Awwwww Nott! Caleb!
*looks at Sam* well that's normal
imagine if Caleb said "i've been her all along" when Lorenzo said "look who decided to show up?"
Came for invisible caleb. Stayed freaking the fuck out realizing that king Ezekiel played d&d before playing undeadwood. Holy shit.
I'm pretty sure caleb could've copied the scroll into his spell book, but shucks
That’s why he was so sad about using it :P
He had no ink or paper at that moment
Daniel Rej Doesn’t his Keen Mind feat let him remember what he studies, or is that something they kept out/did he not commit the time needed to do so?

I have listened to this so many times and cannot believe I kept missing how Liam said 20 in German

I cant listen to 1:53 relaxed with the witcher battle music on the background 😂
Adorable
I didn't know until now that Liam can german XD At least a little bit ^^
Was the villain McCree?
What is the name of the background music at 0:20?

"wie geht's." basically German for "how are you"

@@jaredcarter1165 eh, "how are you" is too formal in that context. "Wie geht's" Would be translated to "what's up" in this scenario ^^
What do they use to make their maps? Is there a kit or something, or is it all custom?
Dwarven Forge manufactures battle tiles that they use
This was funny but did being invisible really make any difference here...?
