I have the regular glowforge for 2 years and I love it! When I can’t find certain dollar tree wood cut outs I find some similar online and cut as many as I want!

Fiber lasers will engrave, others mark or remove the coatings on blanks.

Hello. Just set mine up. I got it for Christmas. I printed the glowforge gift box for practice and it worked fine but the light by the camera on lid is still on. Does that stay on all the time? Ty.

It’s a nice machine, but not everyone can afford it.
So if we had one of these, we could have zero talent and still call ourselves crafters?! IMO only, it’s definitely NOT worth the money.
Lol that's you're opinion. Crafting goes from sewing to knitting to painting to painting on a tablet to many many other things. like idk what you're trying to get at. So you mean to tell me my good friend Liz Moore decal and decor isn't a crafter because she makes wood cut out crafting kits? I'm genuinely confused because she's an amazing crafter
@@AllthingsCrafty absolutely not! I did not realize such a thing existed. The only thing I have a problems with is them calling it budget friendly when there are people who can’t afford gas on some days. As far as talent goes, I was referring to people like myself who would love to craft but just don’t have the creativity. Some people would think this is worth it, I do not and I think I specified that was my opinion only, as far as I’m concerned, if a person wants to pay that just to craft, more power to them. I wasn’t being hateful. I don’t know if you have to deal with people who are hateful on a regular basis, but I don’t understand why you would be so defensive. I realize it’s very easy to offend people these days but I absolutely wasn’t saying what you’re trying to imply I’m saying…deep breath! Even if I were, why would you even care? Never let people get to you! Your crafts and DIYs are awesome. You should have more confidence in your ability.
@@crazypsychnurse9493 I'm just trying to explain yes this is a budget machine. Their original machines are $5k-$10k so yeah $1,200 is a drop in the bucket. Your financial situation is easy to change but that takes consistency and hard work. I for one went from addiction to living in a camper- single wide trailer- to just buying our first home 8 years later. I worked for every bit of everything I have so your comment did come off rude but I respectfully responded back because maybe you don't know all That. I work for all the things I want. People think these companies just gift you a machine "just cause" no, there's tons of work behind sponsorships but I would really hard to get here and I'm proud and I'm always looking for ways to save my people money and like I said they're normally $5k-$10k per Machine so yes ma'am, regardless how you feel, this is def a budget machine. Hope you get all you want soon!
@@AllthingsCrafty well you will never find anyone who knows less about those machines than I do. I’ve had a brand new Cricut sitting in my loft, (which I spent well over 600 dollars once it was all said and done)for months and I have no clue where to start. I bought it to make labels for my candles. I had no idea just how technologically challenged I really am until that thing arrived. I really would love to use it but I’m thinking that probably won’t happen and I feel ridiculous for spending what I spent on it. As far as the machine you were demonstrating, I could actually purchase the version of the machine you were demonstrating today, but if I did, it would, no doubt, occupy the space right beside my new Cricut…now that I think about it, it’s totally possible my comment was coming from a place where there is a little subconscious envy.
I do not know you or your backstory but I do know about hard work. I also know quite a bit about substance abuse and addiction and how very difficult it is to live one’s life on a day-to-day basis, with an addiction, no matter the amount of clean time under the person’s belt. And for this, all the thanks goes to God…I have been allowed to build a successful (so far) business from the ground up. I know the work that has to go into recovery and into maintaining a business,in order to be successful. In both situations, for some, the work never stops. I was an RN before I was able to leave the profession and make candles at home full time. Substance abuse/addiction was the field I specialized and worked in for 19 years (and I had my own personal reason for working this field).
In most cases, if my opinion has offended someone, it doesn’t bother me at all. But in this situation, I really hate that I posted something that you perceived as rude and offensive. I can see you are very serious about crafting and DIY and I understand why you are. I would never purposely be a flippant, disrespectful, condescending, as*hole to anyone (in most situations) and I definitely did not mean to minimize an accomplishment that someone has worked to achieve. I never thought for one second my comment could be mistaken for such. Maybe that is the problem…I never thought. From now on I will not be so quick to comment on the channels where I am not that familiar with the content/creator. Although a failed attempt, it seriously was an attempt at humor, with absolutely nothing hateful behind it. I really do love the crafty DIY channels. To me, it is amazing what you guys can do with so little!
I also wanted to say thank you for the kind words. As far as having what I want, I am very blessed. God continues to bless me way beyond what I deserve, in every aspect of my life, but I truly am grateful every day!
