Helen, you are always honest about your feelings. This is one of the reasons I love watching your videos. I never get the impression that you're full of yourself and think you're the most dynamic, creative person who ever existed, and that everyone should do things you're way. You're always so real. I was so happy to see that you marked when your nephew was born. I wasn't sure if I'd missed it. It's nice that you two share a birthday month. What a cute name! You're going to be a terrific aunt! Please congratulate Karen and her husband for me.
Congrats on your new lil nephew! Please give yourself grace (or anyone struggling). Planners are suppose to work for us not us for them. Keep the planners that bring you joy and sometimes we evolve through planners too!
@@TheCoffeeMonsterzCo I bet you are!! Babies are so… ummm what’s the word… everything in the dictionary that means cute, adorable, sweet… Thanks for sharing pics. Thanks for being honest about your journals. Me, personally, I kept feeling bad because I would not fill in my journals (which I have a TON of!!). Either I would forget or just not feel anything was interesting, important, or worthwhile, enough to write about . It even felt daunting some days. I LOVE journals/stationery etc, but feel bad, guilty, sad, angry with myself that I don’t write in them every day. Don't feel bad about your Weeks - I literally haven't used mine since May, when I decided to try the B6 Common Planner 😂 Hope your September goes well, and you get to have some lovely cuddles with your new nephew!
Thank you for keeping this planning things real! I sometimes struggle too with keeping up with all of my planners. Every so often I ended up reminding myself that I have many planners because it is something I truly enjoy, and that is something for me only I don't need to prove or please anyone with how much I use one planner. Other times I even feel guilty, but watching you being so real about the usage of your planners and notebooks, reminds me that everyone uses their things how they want to. Anyway, thank you Helen
Helen, I loooove how you write the letter ñ; it's so satisfying to see it written with care, and the effort you make to learn Spanish. Que tengas un día genial, muchos besos!!
I inevitably always fail with the Weeks. It starts out great and then about halfway through it starts to feel like not enough and I go into something else. I try to jump back but usually still feel unsatisfied with it. It won’t be in my 2024 lineup either. I’m determined to limit myself to 3 planners next year. 🙋🏽♀️
Great video Helen...I enjoy watching all your activities. I also love that your so real and honest about your feelings & emotions. Thanks for that Helen ❤ Oh yeah your nephew is so cute congratulations again 💙 😊

I hope September is a better month for you. *hugs* My oldest son's birthday is August 28. 😊 Your nephew is adorable. Sniff him often. Babies have that fresh smell. Having blank weeks happens. Life gets busy. I used to stress about it, so I understand. I decided to go with the Avec and start in January. I thought I might look for a pocket notebook for lists and maybe write a line a day in it. (I keep lists of different things in different places, so I thought putting them in one place would be good) ❤
I didn't know what people used a hobonichi weeks for, and I know you were like, "I don't want to stop anyone from buying the hobonichi weeks" but I love the idea of using it for meal planning, workout tracking and to-dos. The page after your minimalist colored gel pen "spread" was very helpful! Probably not super exciting to look at if you eat the same things every day, but sometimes I like to try new recipes and would probably use the left hand page for meal planning and the right side to write a grocery list for the things I need to buy to make all of my meals every week. Thanks for the idea!
Hello Helen! I have always enjoyed your videos showing your journaling spreads for inspiration. I am also really inspired to create my own designs, even if they are just for my own use. I hope you can take care, don't work too hard, health is definitely more important.
How nice to have a baby in the family! I also was thinking about what to order for 2024. I’ve also decided I want to use your stickers and washi tape. It was a struggle with your website today,so no order for now. I am ready to buy things now for the new year because I need time to plan and do things I normally do now.
Awww your nephew is adorable! Oh, my planners... I love seeing them here, and maybe one of these days, I'll post them on ig. Especially your weeks, it looks just like mine! Sometimes I wonder why I get the week. I mean I like the size, cover (actually didn't really like the color this year) and the notes pages. This year, the monthly pages aren't are bare because of the kits I got from your shot. I never know what to do with the blank right page, and the actually weekly page... Maybe one of these days I'll find something else that works for me. But for the most part, I like the size and shape and it works most of the time... until I get stressed, and stuff like that. It is probably one of the first planners that I feel comfortable making it my every day carry book without having to worry about the cover too much, and it isn't too big. I'm glad you didn't go in and write things out just so that it is filled out. These are your planners, so please do what makes sense for you. Don't get me wrong, I have one journal that I am trying to go through and write something for every day (thank goodness for random notes in the Weeks) but that's more of a for fun type of thing. And just in case I forgot to say this... thank you so much for sharing your pages! Please don't be embarrassed to share what you have. Last year, you had me in my Cousin (I think I was going pretty strong until the last month or so...) but this year... I think I made one post about the TCMC advent calendar I finally opened in January, and that was it. So I'll probably repurpose that planner for a little of everything moving forward. While I write and make things, and take pictures of them, I don't usually share it. Perhaps I should start doing that one of these days. Life is a journey, and I feel like I'm slowly making progress and seeing what does and doesn't work for me. This year, the weeks with the B6 Common Planner has been working for the most part... February and April are very empty, but that's that. So maybe something similar for next year, with a language notebook, and a digital planner? I want to incorporate more of my pictures and stuff but I'm usually too lazy to deal with printing photos (either getting them printed, or getting my printer hooked up to print, or looking for a portable printer). I think a digital planner is probably going to be the best option. Just need to figure out which device and app to use... at least I think I have a few months to do that. I don't know why, but the emoti with the giant eyes is very entertaining. I think I would have fun flipping the sticky notes and can probably be entertained for a long while with that. Wow, I guess I'm in a rambling mode... 😅
Thank you for being you and happy late birthday Your nephew is so freaking cute congratulations to your family and how cute you guys get to share a bday month. My Aug and June planner was nothing but a title page and me writting two pages about how beyond stressful and crazy each month was. Instead I got a new planner tote and pouches to reorganize my whole collection hoping that would spark something. I tried a weeks planner a few years ago... i used it often because my B6 at the time was too big. it was okay but still not right . I moved to a A5 and the weeks and monthly was fine just the daily was too much. This year A6 has been the best out of all the sizes, I just was wanting it with more pages. I saw the Midori Hibino on some ones video and feel in love. But they where all sold out and a lot of money. I ordered two Stalogy in A6 size and turned them into one chunky book and wow. I can not wait until 2024 to use it, I'm so excited. (just rambling away lol) Okay Im a total dork.... I like hummus and really want to make some at home but you know distractions lol..... Im watching this and the thought overtook me "what the heck is a chickpea?" For anyone else who wants to know....Chickpeas, also called garbanzo beans and gram, are regarded as beans, but botanically are neither beans nor peas. The chickpea is a tender annual legume, a bushy plant that grows to about 18 inches tall and has pairs of dark green, compound leaflets that look like vetch.
Helen - Happy new nephew! 🎉 would you consider sharing your recipes? I’m always really pleased to hear what you are making! That olive oil lemon cake sounds devine! ❤ Thank you for the content!
@@TheCoffeeMonsterzCo Helen, that would be wonderful! It’s hard to find plant based recipes that someone has tried and made better! I feel like you’re a seasoned (ha ha) cook and the food you make is along the lines of what I would like! Take pics of your creations for the blog as well! Much love, friend. 💖
Any slow month you have is super productive compared to many, so don’t sweat it! We need to see more UA-cam personalities be honest so we don’t try to live up to high standards. Also Ps, how do you like Leuchtturm paper? Obv you like it but I’ve found the ghosting drives me nuts!
This was a wonderful video! ❤ You could show me blank paper and just chat, and I'd be thrilled. You may not realize it, but your storytelling is a hoot! I hope you know how much you mean to so many of us ❤❤
I used to be very unstable emotionally and I thought that it was just who I was as a person, turns out I had several undiagnosed health conditions that were directly affecting my emotional state, energy levels and cognitive function. I suggest looking into it. Simple blood tests don't show everything. Especially thyroid issues, gut issues and insuline resistance (pre-diabetes). I had these issues since the age of 15, but I was diagnosed at age 33 even though I kept going to doctors very often. Probiotics made a huge difference in my life as well as exercise.
Hi Helen, as always your video kept me company and I'm happy to listen to you 💕 I love your doodles and spreads 💜 Congratulations on the new little one arrived!! 💫🎉🎉 P.S. Here where I live they say that stepping on poop 💩 brings good luck! (don't ask me why) 🤣
Thanks for sharing despite your embarrassment! Also, I do a similar thing with colored gel pens: I use black for scheduled things (like meetings and class and appointments and phone calls) and use a color-of-the-week for unscheduled things (like when i take the bus/walk somewhere or visit with a friend for a chat or read a book for too long hahaha); the color helps me fill in the “blank” spaces for what happens between appointments
Oooo. Good job prioritizing protein! I’ve been doing it for about a year per my strength and conditioning/powerlifting coach (without avoiding carbs or fat) and I’ve been feeling so good and so much stronger!
Congratulations on your new nephew! Your transparency is really refreshing...I enjoy your commentary. I bought my 2024 planners last night from the Hobinichi store, I'm SO excited! I got an A5 Cousin and a weeks (the same lineup I used in 2023). I want to also get an Original, but I will have to wait until November. I'm new to your channel and Hobinichi so your videos are really helpful! I just ordered from your shop for the first time and can't wait to receive my goodies.
I haven't done much planning for two months. There was a lot of stuff going on in my life.I'll get back to it when I can. I love your spread about handling negative emotions. Such a good idea!
Audio was fine! Ordered my Cousin the evening of August 31st! Not sure yet about any other planners yet, if any. Yes, weekends are often sparse in both weeklies and dailies. The empty daily pages get used for lists, travel planning, pen tests etc. Love your videos, as always, your honesty is so appreciated! Speaking of stepping in dog poop, I'm what's known as a poop magnet. Haha. If it's anywhere near me, I am very apt to step in it. Not sure why that happens...🙄❤
I use blank pages to write out recipes I want to try. The simple act of copying them is meditative. But I also don't stress over them being blank. It's a hobby and no one is grading me! Be kind to yourself, Helen!
Thank you for sharing all your lovely planner, spreads, inspiration, struggles, happy moments! EVERYTHING! Thank you so much and the bebe is just too precious!
You r so cute I just want to ask you if you could give advises on how to start a small business or maybe just comment me how much should I invest and stuff like that ❤😂😂
I have to say I discovered that I struggle with the hobonichi weeks. I love the cute exterior but the inside is difficult for me. Mainly because it is narrow. Also I realize I need to use a .4 or .5 pen. I mostly just do bullet points/appointments/to do/expense/quotes/wishlist type of entries. I don’t like the blank page on the left side. I prefer the graph pages to keep me in line. Your penmanship and entries looked beautiful to me. I’ve realized that a a6 size would be a better on the go replacement. I like the a5 but I haven’t used mine. I thought I would use them as commonplace for notes, info, etc. I don’t care that the year has passed, I would still use them. But there is always something else to do and time gets away. So I feel bad about that. Hopefully I’ll find time to give them some love. I don’t feel that I have to use every page or section. I have to say I love your doodles. Congratulations on your nephew. Enjoying seeing your journals. Take care.
I think you have to figure out what works for you...I kept buying the Weeks and the Cousin but they just didn't work for me. The Day free however is perfect (again) for me. I find your honesty helpful not discouraging. And no need to be embarrassed. I have more than 1 month of blank pages and sure others here are the same too.😄 Sometimes you just don't have the time, energy, or whatever to journal. So don't feel badly at all.
He is super cute!🥰 I haven't been journaling a lot this year in general, so I am glad I have a notebook for that, or it would have been half empty... but I tell myself that it is for me to enjoy, so... con tranquilidad😉
The language thing is genius! Been trying to get better at Korean but it's going very slowly because I can't really practice writing it. But I could for sure translate to do lists and small snippets of my diary!
Congratulations again on being an aunt! He’s so cute!! I have planners that are pretty empty or just spreads that didn’t mesh well, it’s totally fine & understandable. I enjoyed watching this bonus video, excited for this sunday’s as well. ❤️
Your nephew is so cute! Congrats on being an Auntie! I have a question about your pocket bujo. Do you carry it with you and fill things out as you go or do you just fill it out when you are sitting down like you plan in your Cousin? It looks so intentional and nice. Mine always looks like chaos. Lol.
aww it's okay to feel disappointed! it didn't work out but at least you know why and can move towards a system that makes you happy + works really well for present you. who knows how things will change? I LOVE CELEBRATION COOKIES ❤ literally they make me so happy with my daily cup of chai 🥺 i still haven't decided on my planner system for 2024. i hope i can figure that out in september 😅❤❤
I have been using planners for almost a decade and I HATE the hobonichi weeks after finally caving and buying it in 2022. It just doesn't work for me. Your video is actually very validating for people who feel the same way about the weeks!
Congrats on your nephew! I am getting a Weeks (my first Hobonichi) because I can track my medical things better than getting a planner than a prick notebook-I rather have it all in one so I won't have two notebooks.
The Hobonichi Weeks doesn't work for me either! It's perfectly okay. You did an impressive job in your Cousin and your Bullet Journel. I'm always inspired by your videos. I don't like to meet strangers, either.
I talked about it in the hobonichi cousin daily section! But I ended-up getting the A5 take a note, and since then I have also purchased the Hobonichi cousin avec!
Can one of you influencers get word to the Hobonichi makers and have them do a book without the individual days? I like the months and the weeks but not the days. And hobo Weeks is in a format that I don’t like.
In scientific research, there's this concept of a null result, where your hypothesis basically yields a big fat nothing. It's not as exciting to publish, but just as important, because you still gained the information of well, this ain't it...try something else. I wouldn't consider the Weeks experiment a failure; you gained useful information of what doesn't work for you, which is still valuable.
I haven't had an opportunity to catch up on your videos in a while. I'm listening to them now while I work. I feel like I didn't do a great job keeping up with my Hobonichi weeks this year, so I'm questioning whether or not I want to purchase another one. I will see what else is on the market. I think I still may get the Hobonichi, but I have a feeling I might jump to the cousin so I can keep everything in a single notebook instead of having 3-4. Who knows 🥲
Helen, you are always honest about your feelings. This is one of the reasons I love watching your videos.
Thank you for being you and happy late birthday
Your nephew is so freaking cute congratulations to your family and how cute you guys get to share a bday month.
(just rambling away lol)
Okay Im a total dork....
Thank you Emily! Oh I feel flattered that you're interested
omg i just abt to rewatch ur old videos. u upload so fast omg
What a surprise ❤ thanks Helen for sharing. Your baby nephew is sooo cute.
😊 thank youuuuu Rosalin!
I hope you know how much you mean to so many of us ❤❤
Omg haha thank you Jenni!!!
Also, I do a similar thing with colored gel pens: I use black for scheduled things (like meetings and class and appointments and phone calls) and use a color-of-the-week for unscheduled things (like when i take the bus/walk somewhere or visit with a friend for a chat or read a book for too long hahaha); the color helps me fill in the “blank” spaces for what happens between appointments
congrats auntie helen!!!! he is absolutely adorable 🤍
Hehehe thank youuuu Lauren!!!
We appreciate the honesty Helen ❤️ this is a little reminder to be patient and kind with yourself 💕
Celebration cookies are the best! Even the gluten free versions are good, we use them for smores a lot. Happy becoming an aunt to such a cutie! 🎉💗
Oooo. Good job prioritizing protein! I’ve been doing it for about a year per my strength and conditioning/powerlifting coach (without avoiding carbs or fat) and I’ve been feeling so good and so much stronger!
Same!!! I was shocked how little I was getting in every day haha
@@TheCoffeeMonsterzCo RIGHT? Same here!!
Thank you so so much Sarah!!!! I got the A5 cousin as well but the avec version! Sooo excited
I haven't done much planning for two months. There was a lot of stuff going on in my life.I'll get back to it when I can. I love your spread about handling negative emotions. Such a good idea!
I hope you find your planning groove again!!!!
Oh this is such a great idea! 100% stealing this!
He is super cute!🥰
I haven't been journaling a lot this year in general, so I am glad I have a notebook for that, or it would have been half empty... but I tell myself that it is for me to enjoy, so... con tranquilidad😉
The language thing is genius! Been trying to get better at Korean but it's going very slowly because I can't really practice writing it. But I could for sure translate to do lists and small snippets of my diary!
your videos made me start journaling at the beginning of this year and i'm still enjoying this new hobby a lot ! Thanks for being awesome 🙂
That is awesome!!!! I'm glad my videos have helped!
Congratulations again on being an aunt! He’s so cute!! I have planners that are pretty empty or just spreads that didn’t mesh well, it’s totally fine & understandable. I enjoyed watching this bonus video, excited for this sunday’s as well. ❤️
Thank you Angel!!! Yess totally okay!
Love that you keep it real. #ObtainablePlannerGoals
I LOVE CELEBRATION COOKIES ❤ literally they make me so happy with my daily cup of chai 🥺
i still haven't decided on my planner system for 2024. i hope i can figure that out in september 😅❤❤
Aww thank you so so much and that's totally true!
Yesssssssss I have found my person! It's the perfect dipping cookie. I have yet to try with chai omg
Congratulations 🎉. Such an adorable baby.😊
Thank you!! He really is ahhh😊
We love Sushi California, too! Have you tried Sushi Mura and Nanaimo Sushi? They’re also yummy, too!
Thanks for sharing! Since you read so much, do you have it considered having a book journal?
I already have one actually! There's a video about it from a few months ago if you're interested hehe
I have been using planners for almost a decade and I HATE the hobonichi weeks after finally caving and buying it in 2022. It just doesn't work for me. Your video is actually very validating for people who feel the same way about the weeks!
Seems like you’re going through some stuff, but thanks for being honest and sharing. ❤
Thank you so much Sandra!
Aww, that’s my b day!! Congrats Auntie!!
Haha happy belated birthday!!!
i hope youre ok xxx 💜
chocolate flavored coffee! 👀 can I ask where you get it?
Happy very belated birthday 🎉. I just realized I'm old enough to be your mom😂
Congrats your a Auntie tell your sister and brother I said good job and congratulations.
Love this😊
Hi Helen! What is the planner you're using for your language tracker?
Will you be doing an advent kit for 2023?
There most likely won’t be an advent this year. If you’re in the Facebook group there’s a post that talks a bit about it.
@@Angel6_ I am not in the Facebook group but I did try to find the post but no luck. Thanks!
@@ginachauvin8386 You would have to join the group before being able to see it.
You forgot to mention which new planner you have purchased 😊
I talked about it in the hobonichi cousin daily section! But I ended-up getting the A5 take a note, and since then I have also purchased the Hobonichi cousin avec!
Celebration cookies have become a PROBLEM for me. I keep saying I won't buy another box but then...
will there still be new washi tapes? xx
Do you also have a planner where you write in Chinese?
I also find the Weeks is not for me. I love the Cousin and A6 though.
so sorry to hear about the raccoon 😔 💔
Plz Helen do live streaming ♥️
Who knows 🥲
