March was a tough month for me as well. My hobo flip is a reflection of that, but it’s nice to capture all the moments- the good and the bad. Thank you always for sharing your truth!😊
You are a very special person. I wish you the best of health and success in your life. I love your videos, I only discovered you yesterday, your videos calm my anxiety, and I enjoy them very much. Thank you for sharing ❤❤❤
I think she lives with them, she has mentioned that she makes breakfast for them and also their work when they can’t. So I’m guessing they are perfectly okay with it.
I just want to pop a comment in here as I don't want to discredit my parents! They work realistically more than me and we share chores equally. They are not fine with how much I work, but they themselves work just as hard so currently it's just work work work for everyone hahaha. Hoping to lessen soon
Super great spreads and updates. Always giving me inspiration and ideas. I think we need an emoti existential crisis style with a little elephant on its chest! 😂🐘
Magnesium daily has been so good for me, to help me cope with the stresses of life, but especially in helping me feel well-rested at night. Glad it's helping you now, too.
@@Sandyzdesk There are multiple versions of magnesium, but from my research the one recommended for use for stress relief benefits is magnesium glycinate. Mine is 100% chelated from NatureMade, but you can find other brands making it. Always talk to your doctor before starting new supplements. 😊
Magnesium is one of the 4 "muscle salts" (calcium, sodium, and potassium being the other 3) and is one of the ones responsible for muscle relaxation (hence why it helps with bathroom too). It's also used in over 300 metabolic processes in your body, so you will definitely feel a difference when you take it, not just with sleep ❤
I don't know why I'm always surprised March is rubbish - it is busy and hectic and exhausting. April is here tho 😅 thank you for your videos, awesome as always.
Fun fact. Magnesium is also known as the “stress relieving mineral” in certain circles. Your body tends to use more magnesium when your stress. It’s also what your muscles crave to relax as well. I think that’s kind of were people get the idea that it helps you sleep because your body uses it to relax.
Thanks for sharing your journaling process with us, Helen! You videos are always thoughtful and reflective! Glad you took time for yourself and had some good days! Nature is good for the soul like watching the sunrise/sunset/stargazing/looking at flowers! Love the idea of a no tech morning, evening, day or even weekend. I think mention this in a previous video of yours, but Diane in Denmark here on UA-cam has a video called hygge baskets where she mentioned creating a self-care basket, which is a nice idea to take care of yourself! Love your highlights section. sydplansitout in her weekly actions/makselife goal setting videos does a weekly reflection where she writes about wins for the week, what worked or did not work, what she learned and adjustments she could make.
I love watching your videos. I need to be better at journaling. Sometimes at the end of the day, I'm so tired that I don't even want to open my journal. So I have a lot of back journaling LOL. I take magnesium and melatonin.
Glad to hear your sister recommended Magnesium for sleep for you. You know winters are hard on us here in the PNW. Hopefully you're taking it in the evening after 8pm but before 11pm regardless of what time youre going to bed and getting up in the morning. It helps to regulate your bodys melatonin. Almost 60 and have Magnesium, Calcium and Zinc nighly. I've never been a good sleeper. But I learned my Vitamin D was dangerously low, so with 30,000 IU in the morning I needed the night time supplement. German Doner Kebabs? Where? I need to add that to my list on my next visit to Vancouver now that the borders are open again. Gotta stock up at the big Daiso and drugs stores. We must really be on to something. I've been researching seed crackers as well after one popped up on my feed. Now I've been down the rabbit hole on Tiktok amd Pinterest to find one's with flavor profiles I like and will try. Just compiling them now. Don't be too hard on yourself. Some of us are just always super busy at work. There's always that internal pressure to do more especially when you're parents are working just as hard if not harder. Some people really don't understand because they have never or rarely experience that level of work. My last job on a college campus before the pandemic I was booked every 5 minutes because I worked with student clubs planning their events, managed a team of 20 students designing posters for club events and activities, and our department was responsible for all the campus wide events like welcome back to campus, finals week snacks and activities, leadership conferences. It was never enough for my director. I'd spend an hour each night before bed making that task list and checking it off. May your days not be so hectic but business stays good for the Tater family. Ps... the only thing that helped with the time changed was I volunteered for the CodeDay hackathon that weekend, so I was up for 36 hours by the time I went to bed on Sunday afternoon. 😅😅😅
March for me was both exciting and frustrating (*shakes fist at Chaucer because I'm getting frustrated with him*) and my hard work from school is about to pay off, so there's that. Thank you for the video!
Magnesium citrate will be for digestion, magnesium glycinate is gonna be better for taking in regards to sleep and overall health :) [functional nutrition coach here]
Have you thought about using a digital planner? I would love to hear your thoughts on it. I have a physical journal but my planner is digital and I find it very convinient.
Ahh it's not my thing but I can totally see why people like it! I am trying to reduce my screen time and paper stationery in general just brings me so much joy
Hi Helen! I highly recommend Magnesi-Om by Moon Juice. It contains "3 bioavailable forms of Magnesium plus L-Theanine to help restore cellular balance for relaxation, sleep, brain health, and regularity. Chelated Magnesium Gluconate and Acetyl Taurinate support muscle relaxation and cognitive function, while Magnesium Citrate supports regular bowel movements. L-Theanine promotes alpha‑wave activity in the brain, shown to encourage a focused calm. [Their] natural magnesium powder supplement instantly dissolves in water, tastes like berries, and is sweetened with monk fruit." It's out-of-this-world and such a great Company! I use their skincare products. Simple and minimalistic milk cleanser, hyaluronic acid, and cosmic face cream. Thanks for the March flip-through. Loved it!
I’ve used magnesium basically my whole teenage years, so I know about some side effects. Firstly, I don’t know where the doctor got the idea using magnesium for better sleep. Magnesium has the opposite properties, it gives your body energy and reduces sleepiness. Also high and unnecessary doses can lead to diarrhoea (own experience) and the symptoms you get from lack of magnesium are exactly the same as from overdose. I would be careful with using it daily for a longer period of time. But if it works for you momentarily, I’m happy about that. Just be careful. 😌😌

Sending you extra extra love
Completely empathize. March was a STRUGGLE! Several reall tough mental health days. We got through it! On to better days!
Hoping for a GREAT April for you Valor! Hugs!

Hi again Tommy! You are so sweet, thank you so much!!
I’m glad I’m not the only one who skips days. I just pick up where I am and don’t worry about back planning 🫢
What do your parents think about your work hours? I would be giving you lectures constantly if you were my kid and working that much!! 💞
I think she lives with them, she has mentioned that she makes breakfast for them and also their work when they can’t. So I’m guessing they are perfectly okay with it.
They work just as much as me, but they also lecture me 😂😂

That makes me happy to hear and very hopeful!
What kind of magnesium are you taking? I’ve been trying to look for one that will help.

Helen! I think it would be fun if you turned your yearly page doodles into a washi tape when you are done at the end of the year!!
