I think Leather Satchel Co's customisability checks off all my needs. How has the bag held up, particularly the briefcase's handle? I tend to grab my bag from the top whenever I need to reach something fast inside.
I'm considering the 14" size, possibly in "pillarbox red" or "spitfire red".

Yes. It’s quite heavy and it’s big which encourages me to carry more stuff😩

May I know how has the bag held up after all these years? Are you still using it? I am intending to get a 15” satchel too.
I carry it more in the winter than in the summer, but it still holds up very well. The leather is so tough. I think it's indestructable!!
