Nice review. I had this bag once, but since I am very small, I tended to pack it too tight and it resulted in the bag becoming too heavy. I forgot that the bag weighs some more due to the safety features. I sold it and replaced it with a smaller #Pacsafe bag with an extra chest and belly strap.

Be careful using Metal straws they can be very dangerous if you trip or fall.Great review.

Hi, the sternum and waist straps are essential for many reasons... running away from an attacker for example the bag can easily be removed from the body... I've been using Pacsafe products for years.. Nice review by the way but as a full-time traveller (not holiday maker) the straps are a must.

It’s been working great for us, as full time travelers, for years. It’s just a small daypack, so it’s been fine that it doesn’t have a waist strap.

Thanks for the review! I suggest applying for affiliate membership with REI. They pay *substantially* more per purchase than Amazon, and as a consumer I choose to purchase from them when I can because of their great return policy. I’d be very happy to use your affiliate links right now if you had REI ones!

Thanks for your suggestion! We were able to join the PacSafe affiliate program to link directly to their website. www.kenshoquest.com/pacsafe-metrosafe-ls350 I think our application for REI is still pending. 🌺 Heidi

I wouldn't keep anything of value in the top most places in this backpack. Pick pockets and the like know all about anti-theft backpacks. They have probably watched your videos, too. So, if they get in, even if you are wearing it, they can snatch items quicker than you can bat an eye.
Best to use a non-TSA lock with every zipper and keep them at the top.
Thieves can unlock your luggage using 3D-printed copies of TSA master keys
There are seven TSA-accepted luggage locks - from 001 to 007.
In 2014, a US newspaper published a story about the TSA, which was accompanied by photos of a complete set of the master keys. The photos were quickly taken down from the newspaper's website, but not before the keys were replicated and templates posted on the internet.
TSA lock 002 and 007are the most common and it seems most thieves have these keys. They are even sold on ebay and Amazon.
If you have to use a TSA lock, try to find 006 because it has a more secure mechanism and the TSA key for it is very hard to find.
BTW: Most 3-4 number combination locks are easy to open for thieves. UA-cam has numerous videos showing the simple procedure.

You can make the zip close more easily by rubbing it with a candle. ie paraffin wax

I just had the luck to get it for half of the original price on ebay.

It really seemslike a good backpack. But 100 dollars...

I think the price is well worth it considering the anti-theft features and high quality craftsmanship! I tried multiple backpacks before settling on which bag to use for this trip, and all the backpacks I tried were in the $100+ range. 🌺Aloha, Heidi
