The best moment since I started the leather craft was making my son's wallet on my own.
I made this video since it reminds me the time when I gave a bifold wallet as a gift to my son.
This video is about how to make a bifold wallet with the simplest design using buttero leather.

This is well made. My only concern with the way the lining pieces are glued, (see 4:33) is that this is a raw edge inside the card pocket which is only held by glue to the raw side of the leather. Every time a card goes into the pocket it rubs past that raw fabric edge. As the leather breaths and sweats and takes up moisture from every day use combined with the friction of the cards, that glue will ultimately fail; or the edge of the fabric will fray, long before the rest of the wallet does. So I think not lining the card pockets but using full depth leather split to an appropriate weight and judiciously skived to avoid bulk would mean that wallet becomes an heirloom that will last generations on sons.

The entire card compartment may be made of leather.
However, if you use fabric, there is an advantage that the wallet can be thinned a lot.
Also, since I've tried a lot of time, there will be no problems as I thought.
However, as you said, it would be really strong if you made all of the card compartments made of leather.

This is the perfect wallet design for using up small pieces of leather, perhaps those left from another project. I do like the fabric extensions, this technique saves bulk and weight. Everybody wants lightweight and minimal these days! As usual, your technique and artistry are exquisite and I enjoy watching so much.

Just a reminder make sure you have colour ink cartridge in the printer. Mine had run out and not thinking it was pressing as I was printing a black and white pattern, I didn't realize the cut lines on the pattern are in colour and will not show up on the printed pattern if you print with a black ink cartridge only. Live and learn lol. Thank you again for the pattern.
Even if it is printed in black and white, there will be no problem with using it.

@@bitchen when I printed it without the colour cartridge the cut off marks didn't print. They did when I put in the colour cartridge. Perhaps it is either a printer or settings issue on my end. Thank you for getting back to me 😁

Are all pieces from buttero leather? do you split the leather to 0,6 and 0,8 thickness or you buy it ready with those thickness?
The thickness of the leather is marked on the pattern.
The leather can be any vegetable leather.

Para conocer las dimensiones exactas, puede verificar el patrón con una regla porque el patrón es de tamaño 1: 1.
