The artist is not rubbing for good luck, just making minuscule alignment to the chisel on the leather by pushing the finger holding it. One question what type of material is the punching board made of?
Thinning out the leather and making it double sided is one lvl above the rest wow. Now I wonder how much $ did you charged the client for this piece of art? I work with leather but doing car interior. Recently I made a wallet for myself and loved it, loved the process and the result even more. And I ask you this question cuz I am looking to orient myself. Getting to your lvl of craftsmanship will be quite hard thou, but not impossible for me and maybe this lvl of detail will remain for myself. Clients able to pay for this kind of work are 1 in a million, especially here in Bulgaria hehe.

Thank you! That was the beeswax-based cream for leather which was from a French brand. I use them because beeswax buffing ends up with a little bit of tacky surface that collects the dust. With this cream coat, smooth, shiny, and thin beeswax remains on the surface without tackiness ;)
Hmm... In fact, this was the suitable scale pattern for this design. But even if we want to use the smaller one sometimes, each and every alligator has different sizes and scale patterns just like the fingerprint. So, sometimes they look a bit bigger than the alligator's size and sometimes are smaller.
Oh, sorry for the BGMs Recently we have had a lot of comments about removing BGMs, so we are getting it lower down and changing them in a calm mood. Eventually, we will try to remove them soon, so plz stay tuned:)

No, that was custom made knife and not for sale😅 The knife itself is not important if they are sharp enough suits to your hand skills, I use a Blanchard knife as well for skiving 😉

Крашу торцы профессиональной краской для торцов и никаких паяльников, никаких тряпочек и темболее никаких восков - наждачка и палец всё что нужно до идеального блеска!!!
Sorry, I don't speak Russian. Used translator but I could not fully understand what you try to say. But, for the wax finishing, that is not just for the shining. Major role was for the water resistance + durability and the shine control was like the little advantage.
I use a professional water-based edge paint, I tried to smooth it with a warm soldering iron - it does not work. I apply as many layers as necessary, process with fine sandpaper, and when I already see that a good result is, I smooth my hands with my finger without a rag. You have a wax-based paint, what kind of paint do you use? Thanks for the answer.

Why not use some of the alligator that has smaller scale patterns?

Красиво, аккуратно, но! Много важных моментов в видео не показаны и я не могу понять зачем, вернее как это работает, что после покраски торцов мастер наносит воск. Крашу торцы профессиональной краской для торцов и никаких паяльников, никаких тряпочек и темболее никаких восков - наждачка и палец всё что нужно до идеального блеска!!!

Major role was for the water resistance + durability and the shine control was like the little advantage.
I use a professional water-based edge paint, I tried to smooth it with a warm soldering iron - it does not work. I apply as many layers as necessary, process with fine sandpaper, and when I already see that a good result is, I smooth my hands with my finger without a rag. You have a wax-based paint, what kind of paint do you use?

그냥 가죽 다듬는 소리,, 붓소리로 차분하게 만들어도 좋을듯요.... 힐링 하려고 보는 영상이니,, 물론 교육 목적이라면 경쾌한 음악도 이해가 됩니다만,, 가죽 다듬는 소리 듣기가 힘들잖아요... 칼로 가죽 자르는 소리도.
Asmr 느낌으로도 생각해봐야겠네요👍🏻 사실 주변 잡음이 많아서 가리는 용도의 bgm이기도 합니다ㅠ 그래도 가능하면 제작하는 소리가 더 선명하게 바꿔보겠습니다!🥹
