"8cc Bi-fold Wallet Alligator version"
*Note: We will not reveal all of the technical things to craft this specific SLG. Please don't ask the things we've not specified in these videos.
Do not copy any of the designs of the Atelier SANG BLEU, all rights are reserved to the Atelier SANG BLEU.
This artwork was a bespoke order from one of my customers.
Made out of Special type Chevre & HCP(TCIM) Alligator leather and the Initial stamp + renewal design stamping option was added.
All of the leathers that are used and the way of making this luxurious leatherwork are the same as the French luxury leather brands.
No cheap fabrics were used and no bare flesh sides have remained on the backside. All of the parts are fully leather-lined and it is not an easy process to achieve the linear slim thickness between several layers of leather. This is one of the reasons that French luxury leather goods are expensive.

Thinning out the leather and making it double sided is one lvl above the rest wow. Now I wonder how much $ did you charged the client for this piece of art? I work with leather but doing car interior. Recently I made a wallet for myself and loved it, loved the process and the result even more. And I ask you this question cuz I am looking to orient myself. Getting to your lvl of craftsmanship will be quite hard thou, but not impossible for me and maybe this lvl of detail will remain for myself. Clients able to pay for this kind of work are 1 in a million, especially here in Bulgaria hehe.
Thanks a lot for your interest, the fully leather-lined results are what Hermes, Moynat, Goyard, etc does which are all French traditional leather working brands.
For the price info, I'm afraid to say that I cannot provide it for that, sorry 😅.

Thanks a lot! Unfortunately, to prevent the copy products(imitations) of our designs, we do not sell the Exquis Maroquinerie/ Petit SB designs. That's not necessary if it is not the hard Italian veg-tanned leather.
For the supple and luxurious leathers, it is not needed

He and his family have been badly affected by the war; he's still able to produce leatherwork at this point. I don't know, I admire both of your work and am learning so much from you both... I just thought I'd put the information out there...

Your both amazing artisans. I learn something new every time I watch (because, somewhere in my future, is a Hermes style Birkin - with bespoke built-in pockets and a contrasting suede interior - waiting to be built).
As for support for Serge - just watch his videos? Hit the like? Drop an encouraging word? All that stuff? If you watch his back catalogue of videos you can see the up-swing he was going through in his video productions and editing techniques.

Generally, our tools are custom made tools so, that's not for sale but some of them are common tools as you said.
Exquisite! What creme is that on the final edge touch?
Thank you! That was the beeswax-based cream for leather which was from a French brand. I use them because beeswax buffing ends up with a little bit of tacky surface that collects the dust. With this cream coat, smooth, shiny, and thin beeswax remains on the surface without tackiness ;)
Do you sell the acrylic pattern?
We don't sell our signature designs but, we have a plan for the purchasable patterns(not acrylic) in pdfs in the future for the learners;)

Why not use some of the alligator that has smaller scale patterns?
Hmm... In fact, this was the suitable scale pattern for this design.
But even if we want to use the smaller one sometimes, each and every alligator has different sizes and scale patterns just like the fingerprint.
So, sometimes they look a bit bigger than the alligator's size and sometimes are smaller.

Yes that is the paper clip with higher quality designs and materials that hermes artisans are using

No, that was custom made knife and not for sale😅
The knife itself is not important if they are sharp enough suits to your hand skills, I use a Blanchard knife as well for skiving 😉

Крашу торцы профессиональной краской для торцов и никаких паяльников, никаких тряпочек и темболее никаких восков - наждачка и палец всё что нужно до идеального блеска!!!

But, for the wax finishing, that is not just for the shining.
Major role was for the water resistance + durability and the shine control was like the little advantage.
I use a professional water-based edge paint, I tried to smooth it with a warm soldering iron - it does not work. I apply as many layers as necessary, process with fine sandpaper, and when I already see that a good result is, I smooth my hands with my finger without a rag. You have a wax-based paint, what kind of paint do you use?

probably single ounce. I don't know why he won't reveal "his techniques" although none of the techniques are his to begin with. His wallets look machine-made anyway, somehow he kept the handcrafted element out of it.

그냥 가죽 다듬는 소리,, 붓소리로 차분하게 만들어도 좋을듯요.... 힐링 하려고 보는 영상이니,, 물론 교육 목적이라면 경쾌한 음악도 이해가 됩니다만,, 가죽 다듬는 소리 듣기가 힘들잖아요... 칼로 가죽 자르는 소리도.
Asmr 느낌으로도 생각해봐야겠네요👍🏻 사실 주변 잡음이 많아서 가리는 용도의 bgm이기도 합니다ㅠ 그래도 가능하면 제작하는 소리가 더 선명하게 바꿔보겠습니다!🥹
