I can’t believe how cool the Neo is and I’ve been loving it. Planning to pick up the Air 3s by February and then use the RC2 with the Neo also. Can’t wait to unlock some more range and speed for the Neo.
I am looking forward to the DJI Flip. I prefer to stay under 250g so it is an ideal upgrade. You need a license for hobby flying the Avata2. So it is in a separate category.
It appears to matter what country you are in as to how the Neo ships. I’m in Canada and my flymore package shipped with the controller 3 and 3 batteries and the charging hub. It looks like that bundle isn’t available yet in the US.
I bought the NEO fly-more package and it came with the RC-N3 controller, 3 Batteries, Hub and extra props. IMHO, the best step-up companion drone package for the NEO is the AIR 3S fly-more package which comes with the RC 2 Controller that has its own built-in screen and compatible with the NEO. The Air 3S is faster, more stable in windy conditions and has more range. Most important: it has a telephoto lens.
Interesting, don’t need this in the UK! As long as it’s under 250g, my only limitations at Airspace restrictions (airports, prisons etc) and I can’t fly over crowds. Other than that I can fly over uninvolved people and close to houses.

In order to fly over people or moving vehicles you must be a Part 107 certified remote pilot, the drone must be registered with the FAA and have an RID module, and it must be a category drone, or you have a waiver from the FAA to fly over people. Category 1 drones are drones with RID modules that are under 250g and cannot cause lacerations, or in other words it has prop guards. Obviously, there are a lot of people in the US, especially recreational pilots, that do not know the regulations and fly over people illegally.
Let see, I've got 7 total batteries, 2 charge hubs (dont spend more that $35 usd on an extra hub, thats all they should cost) Ive got magnetic ND fliters with limited value, mostly if you stabilize footage with Gyro Flow (Rock Steady & Steady Horizon rely on fast shutter speeds, else you're subject to blur and artifacts during fast motion sequences - a phenomenon common to Action Cameras.

The first and most important thing to get is another propeller. I installed 4 blade GemFan 51 props and finally not that disturbing. Also bought 5 blades, let's see which ones work the best.... And one more thing: put the gamesir T1d (not td1) to the garbage. This is the cheaper version of the cheapest T1s. Originally for kids, who bought Tello. Proven junk.

Highest price I've seen for RC-2 is $379, not sure where you got $500 from. There's refurbished ones on Ebay for $239. Not suoer cheap, but not unrealistic..

I purchased a N2 controller on Ebay for 69 dollars I still don't like the NEO drone it slow and no flight time 13 minutes don't cut it. I gave it to my Grandson. His phone will not work with it. I told him to sell it I don't want it!!

I got my Neo for beginner fpv, personal video graphing, and for some drone shots.
Please update on the N3 Goggles. They and the motion 3 are the most obvious affordable upgrade.

If you really want that way you can connect the googles to a phone by USB and have the same stream (with small lag) on a phone / tablet screen
try to connect bluetooth controller to phone and assign every that needed manually to phone on dji app could work🤔

It works with the DJI RCN2 and RCN3. I think that is the RCN1. I may be incorrect however.

Best accessory for a Part 107 pilot is a RID module to put on top. Makes this a Category 1 drone so you can fly it over people and vehicles.
