I think we can all agree that this is the greatest music channel of all time. There’s a reason Rick is able to interview such important artists. It’s because he is knowledgeable, and genuine. His passion, his love of music is truly contagious.
Exactly! How often do this amazing musicians get to talk to such a knowledgeable fan? Someone who truly "gets them and their art?"

That use of the word integrity is what holds Rick above so many of his peers; quite simply the authentic way he conveys what music makes him feel enables us to use our ears in the heightened sense.

Didn't think I'd be crying today, but here I am shedding tears of gratitude for you, Rick. I'm only 20 years old but the past 5 years has been the most incredible journey of musical discovery for me. I know it's only the beginning, but you have been a priceless source of inspiration for me and I'm forever grateful for you and your channel. I've been watching your channel for years, Rick. I just realized something. I've always known how much you love music. Then, I realized that you loved the musicians and their stories, too. Now, I can see the love and respect that so many of the artists and producers now have for you and for your work. I know your journey for all of us has been difficult. So incredibly difficult that most who watch, would have no clue or awareness of what you've been through. Having been a band manager, I know your journey has to have been brutal. I totally respect your commitment and tenacity. Most of all, I appreciate the kind, humble way you have always conducted yourself in the process we've witnessed. We'll done, Rick.
Although I’ve seen almost all these videos, when you put them together like this it becomes obvious how incredibly important and game changing this channel is. Rick has done something absolutely unique. He’s created a fantastic resource for any type of musician that is simultaneously both entertaining and informative. It’s like having access to both a conservatory education and top tier guest artists at the click of a button. Add in the ear training courses and the Beato Book and the value you get for this is beyond belief. This is not only the best music channel on UA-cam it’s the best musicians resource for the money, anywhere. Bravo Rick.

I've been a guitar player for 54 years..... many of those as a pretty serious amateur. One of my Pro buddies called me the best hobbyist guitarist he knows and yet it wasn't until I discovered you and your channels, Rick that I am kind of feeling like I'm a real musician now. As a working musician and educator of music, I have to say Rick's channel is a topic of conversation in both settings probably weekly. This snuck up on me. I hadn't realized how special what you contribute to us all actually was until I saw the Sting and Lukather interviews. Mind blown. You give us a look into these artists minds and hearts from a perspective much like our own, Rick. It's not Letterman or MTV. You're an amazing and thoughtful musician and you bring out such interesting nuggets from your guests because of this. That's what makes your channel so special. It's not so much the musicians as it is you. You are the catalyst for the amazing stories and insights we're lucky enough to hear from the legends. Your band sounds amazing as well, by the way! Your channel is basically the history of music. A hundred years from now they could watch the videos and be able to experience amd understand what it must have been like to live in one of the greatest eras of music 50s thru to the 90s.

Same here.....not a musician (though I dabbled in it a bit in my youth) but a lifelong music lover. Been watching this channel for a couple of years and recently realized how much I have learned from Rick....without even trying.
Other than a few years playing sax as a kid, I've always been very content being "the audience" for music. Without us, there is no point to any of it! 🙂
I have a suggestion for a feature video…I have been a church vocalist for many years and have experienced some really good vocal harmonies and blend. I recently listened to the song Crying as performed by Jimmy Fortune and Brothers of the Heart. Beautiful harmony is common but harmony that sounds like one instrument is very rare. Brothers of the Heart is one of these rare groups that has captured extraordinarily beautiful harmony and blend. Jimmy Fortune is exquisite in his delivery of the most delicate falsetto vocals, perfect pitch and breath control. i think he deserves an interview and possibly with the band. His quality and the groups blend are a rare jewel in these times of single, solo artists grabbing lots of attention. I hope you can feature him while he is still around. Love your channel.

what's amazing about this channel is how it started out and what it has become; there is something for everybody, newbies wanting to learn and get inspired, top level people talking about how and why they do what they do and what makes them famous, and then to top it off, all the big starts that are dying to get on and act like kids when they do! Sting was even nervous when he first sat down...its the gift of technology that gives us this, and Rick's generosity and brilliance..thank you, bro!

I remember 7 years ago listening to this channel when I started to learn guitar at age 50. I knew nothing. Now I listen and smile because I actually understand what he's talking about. Its just so cool! Music...the friend that you never get tired of!

What makes this channel great? I'd say the combination of variety and consistency. There are the interviews, the song analysis videos, the cooperations with people. And it's all entertaining and interesting at the same time, that's the consistent element :)

One thing these musicians have in common is a passion for the art. Rick's interviews have a way of bringing this out, as one skilled musician speaks to another in a shared language and with mutual respect. I love it.

As a son of a big band/swing band drummer l grew up with music. When dad was away in WWII, I loved the cowboy, western music of my grandad. At college I loved the new, to me, blues & r&r commin outatha radio in Dallas, Tx. As a Army soldger in the '60s I fell in love with hard rock. I get real emotional over bluegrass and Pink Floyd. I tried learnin the guitar a couple of times but couldn't get outta that derp, dark pit of a beginner. I've been lovin your show now for a year Rick. Love it so much. Sting has so much good stuff he’s recorded. I play Sting Pandora radio station and mostly at work because we spend a lot of time there and it’s just amazing the music the words and singing. The amazement just doesn’t end!
