@@Batman88878 You sure about that? Look what happened with the OG Star Wars cast in the new trilogy, They didn't have a big reunion scene with all of them before they started killing them off.
I think it would make sense for Clark and Martha to go together to see Dr. Swann. After all, Clark was a minor and it seems a little strange for a minor to meet some stranger who has figured out who he is, and not have a parent with him. Although, it's true that Clark could tear someone up limb from limb if necessary, at the end of the day, he has the mindset of a teenager.
I remember thinking back then when the episode first aired that it was too bad that Annette and Christopher Reeve didn't have a brief scene together. Definitely a shame that didn't happen. Also, that screencap is delightful, I've honestly had a crush on Annette since Superman 3 and I don't think that'll ever change.
John Schneider got a Dukes of Hazzard moment when Tom Wopat came on with a Dodge Charger, why did they think of a Superman moment with Annette and Christopher.

I just started watching smallville. So good seeing her well right now and when I read that she played Lois Lane alongside Christopher Reeves, AFTER seeing Reeves in smallville, imagine the excitement. Too Unfortunate they didn’t share a lot of scenes together
Having just rewatched the Reeves movies again, I have to agree with Annette. It was a missed opportunity and whould of been really special for her. Reeves must of been a really amazing person, who embodied Superman both in and out of his role
Even one line of dialogue would have sufficed. *Martha:* I just want to know one thing, do you intend to harm my son? *Swann:* Mrs. Kent, I can assure you, I only offer information. He's a good kid, you raised him really well. *Martha:* It's strange, but I feel like we've met before. *Swann:* Maybe. In another life.
Honestly yeah it is shocking. I love Chris and Tom’s scene, it’s iconic and incredible, but it really would’ve been so much better I think if Martha had come with Clark to meet Dr Swann. I think it would’ve informed a lot of the series and their dynamic too to have Martha to also be there with Clark as he first learns who he is and where he comes from
This is so interesting! She doesn't give a flying **** anymore, she's just super straight up and tells it how it is. The problem with most (working) actors is they can't say anything truthful because they have to work, and you can't talk smack about your previous employers. But if you just say nice stuff all the time, you just come across as fake.
One of the two biggest mistakes in the 21st century by not having Annette and Christopher together. The other was not having Han, Luke, Leia, Chewie, C3-PO and R2-D2 all in the same shot in The Force Awakens.
This whole thing with Annette previously being Lana Lang and Christopher Reeve being Superman, and them both playing different characters in Smallville is actually.... shocking to me. I think that's more likely to happen as you have younger viewers watch the show.
I didn't see SM3 & 4 until years after Smallville ended. And when I saw her, more importantly heard her voice, I was so shocked. Tbh I didn't even recognize Christopher Reeve as Virgil Swan either. Then realizing they never had a scene was such a missed opportunity. Then to Google he passed?! Hurt that much more. Been a fan since 2004, 2005. But finding out all the details years later? All the regret 🥲💔
Dude, how could you not recognize Christopher Reeve? Was it his natural light to medium brown hair? Was it the glasses? Or was it the difference in his voice because of the trach tube in his throat? I saw a tiny bit of the episode where he appeared for the first time, and I knew right away that was him. I knew by that still-beautiful face and those gorgeous baby blue eyes that it was him. He was a fine man even in the condition he was in, both inside and out. A truly super man.
@@joaniekeyser4036 All of it lol. I havent seen the original Superman in years and my dumb kid brain just saw Virgil Swan as he was and received him as a character I've never heard of before lol
@@Bored0720 I just think it was such a pity he never regained the abilty to walk, nor did he regain his private bodily functions, nor was he able to get off the ventilator for good..
What camera is Anette using ? Incredible quality
That would've been awesome to see
Isn`t Perry White actor married to Annette?
she still sounds like 80s❤
Ya gotta watch “CatPeople” a great 80’s movie with Annette OToole, Malcolm McDowell, etc
I remember that. The pool scene showcased what an incredible body she had underneath.
I think “Superman III” is underrated. Would have loved to have had Reeve and O’Toole together in a scene.
I worry about you, Bevy. I worry a lot!
Am 27 yrs-old and I would. Sizzling hot in Superman 3 and she still got it!
Greetings from Poland- Szczecin city
She is a legend
great vid
This whole thing with Annette previously being Lana Lang and Christopher Reeve being Superman, and them both playing different characters in Smallville is actually.... shocking to me. I think that's more likely to happen as you have younger viewers watch the show.
How come Annette O'Toole looks pretty much the same as she did in 1983 on Superman 3? Authorities need to investigate this metahuman activity.
He was, however, able to move his fingers and toes, flex his joints, sniff, sneeze, blow out candles, and breathe unaided for up to 90 minutes at a time. Those are remarkable improvements for a man with a C1-C2 level neck fracture like he had, which he said in his book is the worst one there is.
Can you imagine, if that actually happened! Clark's mom, meeting Dr. Swan?!? I would be losing...my shit. That would have been an Epic reunion!
Such a shame Annette & Christopher Reeve didn't work together. It would have been Legendary....
One more time onscreen in Smallville together would of been nice since they first worked together in Superman III
