Allison Mack was easily the best actress on the show. She made the Chloe character instantly likable. The writers didn’t always give her the best material, but she always made it look so effortless. That’s why it was shocking to hear that she had self-confidence issues, which lead her to Nexium. It is all well and good to remember the wonderful talent and performances of Allison Mack. She was a very bright talent who essentially galvanized the entire cast into creating the Smallville magic, but don’t for one second turn a blind eye to the ugly, sadistic things she did to all those woman she conned into Keith Raniere’s cult. Yeah, she was victimized by Raniere, but she also consciously chose to align with him. Three years in jail for doing what she did? Come on. That should’ve been 30.

In 2006 the girl I was crushing on was a huge Smallville fan. So I hopped on board so we would have something to talk about. My university years.
The first four seasons were superb; it was comfort food, binging episode after episode sitting in my old college apartment. I'd touch base with her after each episode. "I can't believe Clark would... it's kind of cool how Chloe did this..."
Season Five was good. Season Six was good. Season Seven was... fine? And that was where she and I got off the Smallville train. But I'll never forget our time watching that show and talking about it. Good times.

IDK I disagree about Allison's crying scene. Chloe's character only had the School Paper she knew what she wanted to do after high school and it involved journalism. That's basically all she had in school. Add in her hormones and the feelings of everything falling apart around her? Yeah I could believe it 100%. If she was portraying an adult hell no but she's playing a student. I would have probably had the same reaction if I had to lose Choir since that was my life line in high school. As logical as Chloe is, her reaction makes sense for someone that thinks they are losing all they had worked towards. That school paper was her life along with the Wall of Weird. Based on what I have seen of her: She likes stability & routines. She always has her nose in the next mystery. Her routine was uprooted so she's going to be emotional.
