I beat the hell out of my UDR. Broke the front end ripped all 4 tires apart but had so much fun doing it. Flattened one trie, replaced it right on the spot. Now it's all gmp and vitivon parts. Hasn't broke after the upgrades.
It was nice to see the 2 trucks together, I have 2 UDRs and it's my favorite RC. That Raptor R sure looks nice but a bit too small for me. I would have the Raptor R if only it was the UDR Pro Scale size.
You mean the new rumored 1\7 slash? Or the current ultimate? The UDR is a different beast....with the dual shocks and solid rear axle. You won't get the scale suspension movement that the UDR is famous for with an independent rear end...so it depends what you're looking for. Scale realism or better handling?
@@simonj126 i have the 1/10th model. It's almost 10 years old but it's a beast. I am also curious about the raptor versus the my slash but I know it's basically a longer slash.
I would say the Raptor is more true off road capable. But if you're not into crazy bashing or using strictly pavement or gravel, the Vxl rally is an awesome choice. Our local club runs a Rally class....they look like a lot of fun.
@@bapojean5981 they come in pairs. You will need LONG for the front and xx- long for the rear. I show the part numbers my other video where I go over my Raptor in greater detail
hey again. So my raptor lasted about 1 week lol. The steering servo took a dump. I replaced it, now the truck won't turn correctly or go in a straight line. When I turn, the tires don't' to go back to 0 degrees until the truck stops moving. Do you have any ideas what it could be? I even put in another servo thinking I picked up a bad one.
You may need to go into advance settings and readjust your servo end points. Also, your TSM sounds likes it might be set too high. Try turning it completely off and see what happens

Vitivon parts are coming!
What are the Viticon parts you replaced? I'm planning to buy the UDR in a week or two. I want to have the parts ready.
I own both too and I’ll pick the udr any day
alright, I think. I am going to get the raptor for now. Thanks dude.
Happy I could help!
Same
I've had both several times, I still have UDR atm. Best RC hands down!

Rumor has it that a 1/7 scale slash is coming

Worth every penny
Can you swap the raptor long chasis to Basic Slash ? I own Slash but i would buy longer chasis And raptor body And fit it to my old slash.Thank you
How do you feel about the UDR versus the Traxxas Slash ultimate

@@NickMartinez-k4j It's a longer wheelbase slash....in my opinion it adds more stability
UDR is my dream RC car.
Same!
Udr all day more realistic better all around It even comes with spare tires and lights
But you pay a premium for it.....
thanks buddy
i really want the udr ,i have the super baja rey 2.0 but it's to big,udr would be much better 👍👍😀 subscribed 😀 👍
Close competition for sure, but I'm already invested in the Traxxas ecosystem so UDR made sense to me
Your UDR sits pretty high... how have you managed that?
Not sure? Stock suspension....minimal preload
ive been thinking of getting the Raptor R or the Fiesta ST Rally VXL ..... what you guys think?

What shocks are you running on that raptor. Definately not stock. I just bought one.
I'm running GTR with blue striped springs. Love them!
@@simonj126 GTR is the brand? Or is that a traxxas shock? I am very new. Just picked my Raptor R up a week ago.
@@bapojean5981 Traxxas GTR.....springs are Traxxas as well. Blue stripe are the stiffest spring they offer
@simonj126 Do they sell a kit with all 4 together or do I have to buy 2 of each length?

Call Traxxas support! They will get you right .
@@ElSob94803 I did. And you are 100% correct. They sent me out a new TSM next day. Excellent support.
