May have started on the "struggle bus" but you were outside in the fresh air and catching fish even a few keepers. Looked like the bite was starting to pick up. Great video
Struggle Bus is right - I feel ya. Had a similiar thing happen to me last week Drum fishing at Chnocteague VA. Bluefish kept grabbing my cut bait several time in a row and pulled drag but could not hook em. Exciting but frustrating.
Great video Matthew your perseverance paid off great variety of fish make sure you share them fish tacos with the girls really love watching you guys starting to hit the beach more may God bless you as always👍
Fishing for tailor (bluefish) can be a pain when they've slammed the bait before you even get the slack out of the line after casting. Happens quite a bit when surf fishing here in Queensland. I think it's mainly to do with the surf being a lot bigger so you have to cast at more of an upward angle to clear the breakers, which induces more slack in the line. Not sure.
The seaweed has been rough up here too! It seems like the hot to cold swings with incoming High pressure systems isn't going to help either. Seems like its been really hard to get on big Pomp This year as well!
What was CRAZZIE is that you threw back that 'tank of a Whiting!' I'm up north, and had I caught that fish, it would have made it 'all' 1,200 miles back home!! But, I still really enjoyed the entire content of this and ALL of your vids!! This was an exhilarating vid to watch!!
You came through in the end Matt. I would have kept that big whiting as well, but it's also good to let the breeding size go. The pompano did make it worth the struggle in the end. Keep up the good videos and us laughing. 🤣👍👍
Strugglebus great vid showing that it’s not all the time that fish jump on the hook. You have to sometimes just wait or change up the bait the get the reaction your looking for. As always 1st class content!!💯
Matt…another great day on the beach! I think one of the most incredible aspects of surf fishing in gulf and on southern east coast is the variety of species and this video a “prime” example! My best to you and your sweet family. A “Bummy Stick” Owner, Jim Hill
Pal... I've been waiting all year to come down here an fish. This is day 5 of me on vacation reeling lines in with freaking seaweed. Caught some whiting, but its been ROUGH. Worst October I've had in the 11 years we've been coming to Fort Morgan.
Even a bad day fishing, is better then a day inside, in front of the computer. I will fish the Gulf one of these days. I have two set ups that I think would work great, rod and reel wise. Stay safe and Tight Lines.
I was in the area fishing the whole time. It was definitely a struggle for everyone fishing around the super moon and 4 tides a day. You probably won't read this but I caught my first keeper pomps in the Gulf Shores park and I wanted to thank you. I caught both during slack tide and experimenting while casting WAY past the second sandbar!? Anyway would have thanked you personally on Wednesday but you were way too busy filming Brant. It is understandable as you guys are some of the hardest working people on UA-cam. The afternoon bites were best for sure.
Struggle Bus! But all worth it to be in the great outdoors and landing that pomp at the end. Spent 4 hrs in the yak last weekend and caught a beauty Red at last stop. All worth it and blessed to have the ability to do so. Great vid as usual Matt!
Here in the midwest, we use mostly baitrunner reels. Have you tried these reels? You dont have to mess with your drag at all. No danger of loosing a rod. I watch you every day here in Iowa.
Just curious this is not a recent fishing outing. When did you make this video? I know conditions to catch fish had been bad in past week plus few pompano to be had
@@BamaBeachBum Did not realize the moss and sea weed was still a big issue on Alabama beaches hope it clears soon for you guys here in Navarre we have blessed with clear water the last few weeks
Hello…another cool video. Could you please share your GoPro picture setting…..flat or natural? How do you color correct your video…..manual or LUTS’s? Cheers Andrew
That pissed me off too... sheesh.
Very likable guy. He keeps it fun.
Struggle Bus!! Give Em Hell!!
The great whiting and pomp made the day worthwhile mate.
Definitely paid off
Good job hangin' in there to find clean water. Sweet pomp.
Struggle Bus…….. love it man God Bless and keep it coming
Struggle bus- seems like I’m on that bus often in NJ surf !
If that is STRUGGLEBUS, I hope I catch that bus on a very regular basis in the future!
You spent your time on the "struggle bus", but your perseverance paid off! Nice job making it work brother.
Great video. Determination and perseverance. That’s what it takes sometimes. Thanks for sharing.

Man you were really determined that day …it paid off congratulations….!
Have you ever tried peeling the shell off sand flees. Works good with some miracle thread.
I haven’t. Seems like a lot of work.
Turned out to be a great day of fishing
This is my favorite videos that you make . When you make it work. I know how hard it is pulling that cart around. Keep it going.

Great content as always, Where did you get the sand spikes?
Good little video. Looked like you had to work for those catches. Still haven’t tried the pompano yet.
Going to be in Fort Morgan this weekend! Hopefully I'll be able to get on some pomp. Any pointers for this weekend??
“Some of us were brought into this troubled world primarily or only to increase our fathers’ chances of not being left by our mothers, or vice versa.”
Will be in Pensacola starting Friday before Halloween. Come down to the beach if you want to fish. Bring the boys if you want.
The seaweed has been rough up here too! It seems like the hot to cold swings with incoming High pressure systems isn't going to help either. Seems like its been really hard to get on big Pomp This year as well!
We've all been on that struggle bus from time to time. Makes the good times even more the sweeter 🐟🎣
Any chance of a sub please Mat🐟🎣

Nice variety of fish as you made several stops on the struggle bus. Still an awesome video as always.
Great video. What brand is the “blue” line that you are using on the Penn reels? Thanks.
Bama makes good on the struggle bus 🚌. keep living your dreams. thanks again for the awesome video. God Bless and stay safe 🙏
Nice Day at the beach, fishing is the bonus lol 😆

Persistence pays off!!!! Water is clear in Navarre no grass you should have came this way
I love Navarro. I have family there. Beautiful place.
@@dannydean1253 I’m fortunate enough to live here. Beautiful
Struggle bus what a great video, though! That pompano was awesome!
Struggle bus! Great video, Matt! Thanks!

We used to catch many freshwater catfish. Tremendous eating!! Are saltwater catfish not edible??
Awesome! I know that big whiting was fun- I caught a similar one one time on fish bites, I thought I had a red drum 😂
Struggle bus...Way to stay with it! Nice Pomp!! Don't let Brant talk bad about your Whiting...That one had some shoulders!
Struggle Bus! We love watching all of your videos!

Can you please do another ladder video, they are my favorite
Even the struggle bus makes a good day
That turned out to be an excellent day. Great vid. Hope you have a wonderful afternoon and see you on the next one
Struggle bus. Glad to see you down in our neck of the woods.
For sure sometimes it is that way. You know they are there they just wont bite. Heck sometimes you even see them in the surf. Great video bro.
Nice Pompano, and Whiting.
Nice Whiting! Hey you where pretty bizzy out there. Tuff but Fun! Struggle Buss
I’d fish all week to catch a pomp that size! What a struggle, bus!
Fred would have taken those first two off your hands. Might have even done some scouting for you.
Riding on the Bama struggle bus. Thanks buddy cheers Ricky 💃🕺🎵🐈⬛🎸🧜♀️🎣💦🍤🐠😎
Does Fred just follow you from place to place? 😀😀 I caught about a 3' bonnethead shark out of the surf on Monday night. Good times.
Way to stick it out!
Some days are a Struggle bus...
Pal... I've been waiting all year to come down here an fish. This is day 5 of me on vacation reeling lines in with freaking seaweed. Caught some whiting, but its been ROUGH. Worst October I've had in the 11 years we've been coming to Fort Morgan.
I usually fish the Fort Morgan Area. Great Pomp bite.
Struggle bus makes it in the end
Strugglebus. It was enjoyable to see a genuine day of fishing with challenges.
Good job,Matt.
Even a bad day fishing, is better then a day inside, in front of the computer. I will fish the Gulf one of these days. I have two set ups that I think would work great, rod and reel wise. Stay safe and Tight Lines.
Some great fish. That probably made the day worth it. Enjoyed, but the was a struggle bus. Great video.
BBB, why tacos with a pomp...they're delish blackened or pan fried!
Great day fishing!

Please do a collab with bama saltwater
That would be badass
What is the difference in the taste of saltwater and freshwater catfish?
Nice struggle bus multi species day sir
Matt, you were on the Struggle Bus !
Pretty Pompano and Whiting! A tip of the hat to Fred, who is your companion even if you have been gone for a while.
Struggle Bus! But all worth it to be in the great outdoors and landing that pomp at the end. Spent 4 hrs in the yak last weekend and caught a beauty Red at last stop. All worth it and blessed to have the ability to do so. Great vid as usual Matt!

Strugglebus but you did catch a bunch of species of fish. It made a great video. 👍
How do you hook your sandflies
Sandfleas
Here in the midwest, we use mostly baitrunner reels. Have you tried these reels? You dont have to mess with your drag at all. No danger of loosing a rod. I watch you every day here in Iowa.
Are they salt water safe?
I never have, but I could see the effectiveness.
Strugglebus.

How big are your rods
Struggle nuts!
Love the vid. Try my rigs sometime. You won't have to wade out to cast.
Struggle bus, been on that ride and definitely not an “e” ticket.
Hello…another cool video. Could you please share your GoPro picture setting…..flat or natural? How do you color correct your video…..manual or LUTS’s? Cheers Andrew
