Hi, guys! I have had the chance to use the Chimera's for the last few months and thought it was time to give them a review. I have been using them both indoors and outdoors (for bouldering and trad).
I have changed my review format slightly so let me know what you think. I also got a new camera so I am trying to figure out the ins and outs a bit so bare with me :D
If you enjoyed the video please don't forget to drop a like /comment and let me know!

Whats the sizing like, same as the Vapor V?

Sorry for the slow response! I honestly can't tell you. I have sized these the same as my Skwamas and they were about the same. I imagine they size identically to the drago.

For me, Chimera, Instinct VS and Instinct Lace are the same size (1,5 EU below street shoe size). Skwamas are so big, even -3.0 feels like the shoe is way too big in every direction. For me and also a general rule for La Sportiva climbing shoes is: -2.0 to -2.5 EU. Python, Cobra, Katana VCS (old yellow!!) and Skwama additional -0.5.
I'm not a pro or a masochist, it is just simply La Sportiva sizing. Bonus: People say, it has been since forever, so if you know "your" La Sportiva size, you can buy all Sportiva shoes in that size, and that for more than 20(?) years. So, extremly consistens in sizing. Other companies are completely different from shoe to shoe, others have the same sizings for shoes which are built on the same last.
Sooooo, for me it seems the newer Scarpa Instinct shoes (VS, VSR, Lace V2) are the same what sizing is concerned. But a Boostic ist shorter in length, I need those 1 whole EU size bigger. Vapor V I don't know.
Other example: FiveTen I have Anasazi VCS in UK 9 & 9.5, HiAngle (2016 grey/aqua) in UK 10 (brandnew extremly tight!) and Dragon in UK 11. Initially, the Dragons feel tighter than every other shoes I've ever tried.
      Cheers

@@philipppuchner1115 Man those are some great sizing recommendations. I came back here to watch this video after 3 years as my Solution's are starting to burn through the toe and was considering the Chimera again. I am 43.5 street shoe, 41 in Solutions and 40.5 in Pythons ( should have gone 40.0 ). Looks like 42.0 for Chimera for me. Thanks!

@@TheChismFamily Yeah, -1.0 EU or -1.5 EU. Depending on your foot. Chimera are extremely asymetrical and your knuckled up 2/3-5 toes press hard against the upper rubber on the start. It gets better, obviosly :)
      UPDATE:
"My" Sportiva Size is -2.5 EU and Scarpa -1.5 EU.
Exceptions: good, old, yellow Katana Velcro -3.0 EU and Skwama Women's -3.0 EU.
Scarpa the Boostic just -0.5 EU and if i would climb those:
Instinct SR Slipper just -1.0 EU and the white, discontinued Stix V2 -2.0 EU.
Maybe the last two are just because of my feet.

@@philipppuchner1115 Hey thanks again the sizing is absolutely perfect in 42, no dead space anywhere, heel completely locked on even unlaced, but no pain anywhere. Great shoe, great power in toe, still smears well, can pull on steep routes.
