Very informative video❤❤❤ A viewer is wondering why you used the 13 star American flag instead of the 50 star flag? If you could please take a moment to explain, that would be greatly appreciated.
So if you have a cold and is congested need to blow ur nose to relieve the congestion u just have to not. What if u are outside and it cold ur nose is running u just leave it because if u blow ur nose it’s rude. I do understand etiquette but if blow ur nose rude spitting should be to.
Hawk tuah girl lol! The "eye contact" thing has to do with "hierarchical deference, filial piety." The bumping thing I hate too, even as a Korean American person. You'll get beat up if you do that in the U.S. People don't take kindly to that here.
they are the social contradictions that make a nation unique compared to others. But with the same qualities or defects, I would LOVE to move into "their" mentality, and i said as European...
I trained myself to take my change with two hands because I knew that was gonna be the biggest unknowingly thing I'd probably forget to do when I went over there. The weirdest thing to me was people don't really just randomly greet people they see out and about like even if they know them, in America you may see your neighbor, co worker, or friend out at the store and you'd be like yoooooo what up in Korea my cousin literally saw the neighbor and just completely ignored him lol. I was like ain't that the neighbor he looked up and was like yeah and i was like uhhhh do ya'll not get along and he's like no he's good people. I'm like so ya'll don't say what's up when you see people and he was like why lol. Then he got to kinda experience what i was talking about when we took the train in Seoul i was standing and across the train between people i saw another guy that was orginally from Atlanta that has lived in Seoul he said for the past 8 years and we made eye contact and both did the what's up head nod then started talking, my cousin was like do you know that guy and i was like no lol but that's just how we are cuz that's how you kinda make friends your whole life in america lol.
Thank you for this vidoe and I am so excited to go there in a month and use some of what I've learned here. Speaking of learning, the American Flag you had up is not accurate
If you close your eyes, it’s like there are zombies around you with all the hucking and spitting..guess why there is such a fascination with zombie movies in Korea
biggest shock for me was the spitting everywhere, this included places like water parks where people walk barefeet, i dont understand why its socially accepted and its honestly disgusting
For me, the worst thing is spitting! I literally can not get used to it and my stomach turns upside down even hearing the sound they make, yikes. It is EVERYWHERE and EVERYONE is doing it. It is not just elderlies or at the outskirts of Seoul. You can easily see a couple in Gangnam, a girl dolled up from head to toe, bf in suit right next to her. Then they make that gross sound and throw their lungs out on the street, yikes. Eye contact is also true. For westerners, eye contact is generally a way of showing you listen to the other person but here, it is considered intimidating. Some of my Korean colleagues even told me not to look at them "like that" and I was like "wdym?" Then they went, here no one looks at the other in the eye while talking, it is intimidating! So yeah, definitely different.
woah 20k for food each day in THIS economy? are we living in the same korea because that's crazy if you're having even 2 meals a day that have some sort of quality to it. coffee and a decent meal will set you back 20k easily
I was thinking the same while hearing that guy. Like... I went only 40 days and spent more than that amount, where is he living and what kind of food is he eating? hahaha
@@kowirouyou were on a longer vacation so you just spent more money on meals and chalked it up as part of the experience. Living there, you will quickly find local mom and pop shops that have great jjigae meals for like 8000
NOT EVERYONE in Korea spits on the street... Mostly old men do that and some young guys do when they smoke but young ones usually do not make that gross noise. And I've never seen a young woman spits on the street in my life. Please do not spread lies with your stupid comments. Ridiculous 😅
A person with 470,000 subscribers, who even comes to Korea - a foreign country for them - and conducts interviews in English, doesn’t know the current U.S. flag and makes such a mistake? It’s hard to comprehend on a common-sense level. Is that even possible? Considering how modern media is so pervasive, it seems unlikely for someone to confuse the U.S. flag.
As an American, I am offended by the wrong American flag you are showing in this video. That is not our American flag. God bless the U.S.A.! The greatest and the most powerful country in the history of mankind. America rules baby!!

why are you using the 13 colonies flag I'm just wondering
It was the 1st American flag in 1777.... 😊
@melissahoneybee6395 obviously, I know that, I asked why is he using it
@@AlmerTV-1 probably because it's the original flag of America
@melissahoneybee6395 yes, I know that. I was just wondering why is it on the video? It's not on all this videos.

In the place I live its totally normal to spit even in front of others

That nose blowing thing is not true. If you need to its fine...
Where’s the English teacher from the shorts?
Clickbait I guess.
I still bow here in the US. Why are you using the 13 colonies flag for the US? Should be 50 stars on the blue filed.
Editing mistake. 😂
