Love how transfixed you two got on plants. I had a tree in my yard that only grew flowers last year and this year I was finally was able to identify it's fruits, being a plum tree. We thought they were puny apples, undeveloped peaches or unknown and then a friend at the plum and assured us it was a plum. No matter how you start or grow you will convert through time and marvel at our own transformation. God is wonderful and sent us a merciful Savior who suffered so we might become fruitful. From buds to full bloom!

While in the MTC my district became very close with each other as we learned how to teach the gospel in Spanish together. On the evening before we all headed off to our different missions we gathered in an empty classroom and I read Alma's prayer in Alma 31:32-35 to them, exchanging the names of Ammon and Aaron, etc. with each of us in the district: Elder Smith, Sister Jones, etc. I love the blessing that Alma pronounces upon his friends and I wanted that same blessing upon my new friends. I wanted them to have strength and success as we all went out and taught our brothers and sisters about Jesus Christ. Every time I read this prayer in the scriptures I remember my dear MTC friends and know that the Lord absolutely blessed each of us with the same blessings he gave Alma and his friends. Read Alma 26 at the end of your mission, but first read Alma 31 as you leave for the mission field.

That orange story is the best! That's how I see it! My experiences tell me there is a God. When I go anywhere and see the landscape around me, I become overwhelmed with awe for my God and His Beloved Son! One of my 10 year old Primary students answered the question today by simply saying, "Because of my experiences." We lie to ourselves when we say nothing proves there is a God.❤

I enjoyed the conversation of the "proof of God". I was driving down the road the other day and just happened to look down at my hand. Each of my fingers move independently and and just looking ... there was proof in my hand.

I like Grace’s thoughts on the strength of Observing faithfulness in others, how it helps us on our journey. Another reason to gather at church each week and mix socially, visit each other in our ministering.

Thank you so much for your channel. I have been following you for years and enjoy listening to your insights on the gospel. You make it so fun and simple to understand. You are a dynamic duo.
I got called to teach gospel doctrine in my ward and freaked out! I did accept the call and the challenge to teach. As a convert, I feel intimidated to teach the gospel to others who may know much more than me. As I prepare my lessons, I hear your comments and statements in my mind and I feel inspired, comforted, and confident as I use and share your insights to my class.
A funny story - Two weeks ago, I walked into the chapel for the sacrément and who do I see sitting with his whole family visiting our ward? David Butler!!!!My hands started shaking and I broke into a cold sweat with the idea of having him in my Sunday school class 😅😅😅😅😅. After the sacrément I went to say « Hi » I was so stoked to get to meet him in person. He is so genuine and feels his love for people he meets and for his family. David, you are definitely a wonderful person!!😊. Also, I was so relieved that David was needed somewhere else and could not attend my Sunday school class😂😂😂 because my lesson plan was mostly made up of Emily and David’s insights and discussion😆. I love you both so much. You made my calling less intimidating and so much fun. THANK YOU🤗❤️

I also play that game that Grace was talking about, trying to find the evidence of God in what’s around me. I’ve also taught it to my children and we’ll play as a family sometimes while in the car or at dinner. I love it the most when someone asks a question like “how does a car remind of you Christ?” And then there are five different answers but all answers point to Christ. There have even been times where my primary aged children have taught me about Christ with their answers.

That was so fun to see the faces you make in amazement of faith and science. I love learning more and more science beyond the depth of quantum physics, to chemistry, to the math that helps us understand why things happen or the probabilities that occur for something to happen or not happen. In every case it has never hurt nor challenged my faith. I've seen the love of God in all things created. I don't mean I always see it, and it does get difficult for me in dealing with some people. 🤔 I ❤ how you noted the truth is relevant to how you treat others better and how love eventually, extensively increases in your life.

One of the challenges in the church today is that many members do not study and understand the word of God and are not sure what our true doctrine actually is. Instead of studying and listening for the spirit to give them personal revelation, they listen to podcasters/pundits online and think that is enough; it is not. "True doctrine understood changes attitudes and behavior..." -Boyd K. Packer

Yes! When 8 or 9 years old, I was sitting in the huge branches my neighbor friend's big, old cherry tree, chatting and enjoying the shade on a summer's day, plucking and enjoying the fruit, when it dawned on me how accessible and natural and miraculous this tree and this fruit was to me--everything was already provided, and just waiting to be plucked and accepted.

I just realized that "word" and "sword" are so connected! And word is the root of sword! The sword of the spirit IS the WORD of God and is also one of Christ's names! The word was stronger than the sword in changing behavior...... God's sword is His word! "The pen is mightier than the sword!". Mind blown........ Thanks guys!!

It is always inspiring and so helpful in preparing lessons to listen to you both. Thank you for the time and dedication, thought and preparation, and for making it fun, funny, spiritual, and conversational. Keeping it real, down to earth, relatable, and framing things in heavenly ways I could have never thought of alone. Adding to what you've taught I can create a much better lesson and am getting much more out of it than without the opportunity to learn from you and the spirit. It's like having a teaching partner in preparation, which is so needed. Thank you for the time and commitment this is for all of us.

Oh my goodness I wish I was with you guys today!!! I laughed so hard. I have had these conversations (with anyone who will listen and their faces seem to say I’m weird) about “magic” and how fruit totally seems like something from a fairytale. It is so wondrous to me! I want them to get excited with me and go down this super fun rabbit hole with me but they don’t. Only this 75 year old man at church. He’s great. I 100% agree that we just had to come up with a bunch of hard-to-say names to explain God’s magic. And think about this… what does it really change in the universe that we have all these fancy scientific names and have figured out (to some degree) how God does His magic?!?! 🤔 What would it change if we did not know how a tree grows…
Nothing against science…it’s great and helpful. But seriously the trees would still MAGICALLY grow. 🤣

, your so amazing, indeed we must learn to cleave unto the word of God, for it contains the truth and takes away the doubts and the lack of faith.

Bonsoir, I just listened to your commentary on Alma 30 and 31. I was surprised by your take on Alma 31: 36! I don't disagree about the need to have folks around us who cheer us on, but I think you missed an important point about the words 'he clapped his hands on them...' Alma was putting his hands on them (his companions), to bestow the Holy Spirit on them.' !!!

There were some wacky ideas about the name Anti as in the anti-nephi-lehi and the anti Christ.... and erm well I came up with a thunk last week... that the people where anti-nephi-lehi because they were like alcoholics in AA who admit that they have a problem then through their wickedness into the pit... then at church on Sunday our high councelman was anything but dry... he admitted that he had been addicted to porn from the age of 12. That this had been hidden for ages till as a married man his Ministering brother told him that he was breaking everything... his family and he was broken because of the addiction. The speaker attended addiction recovery.... He felt safe there .... He then taught the group... and seeing the growth of one young man asked what to do so that he could have the same as him... so he went to AA... Jesus changed everything... Well basically I cried... I cried buckets and I saw an anti-nephi-lehite in sacrament meeting and he threw his weapons into the pit in front of me and I cried.... and here the same word... but an anti-christ... same word same meaning and in stark contrast and Jesus was the difference.... yup I cried.

Grace, just a thought but what was Alma’s reply to Korihor “repentance”?

  • @brojoseph7
    @brojoseph7 2 місяці тому

The Antichrist - Korihor and/or the narcissistic goes to the space of relationships and life to judge and take away, NOT to give and love.
Jesus Christ tells us to Love God and Love one another.
One follows the Antichrist when they gaslight and/or call the followers of Christ crazy, deranged, or any demeaning names.
Life is better when you choose to follow Jesus Christ.
