This band cannot make a bad song, period. I am so lucky to call them a hometown band! Boston's blessed with the best in metal.

I don't know why people are complaining about the chorus. It sounds killer! It has a mix between Fear Factory and Dave Padden era Annihilator type of vibe to it.

Why is everyone hating on the chorus vocals? It was different than rest of the vocals of the song and kept the song fresh and dynamic. i liked it nonetheless.
Because some people just want growling nonstop. I personally really liked the chorus. Kinda reminded me of Fear Factory.
Because metal fans fear change and want the same thing over and over again. Until we get just that. Then we bitch about how stale the band has become. PROGRESS!!!!
I love when they use their cleans. On the first listens though, the tonality and rhythm of it just felt weird to me. Nothing about it being clean.
But it has already grown a lot on me.
because those are people who are uncultured simpletons who would decry an instrumentally technical song over something less fundamental like vocals, revocation is as interesting and technical as ever but i feel alot of people do not appreciate it as they cannot comprehend instrumental technicalities.

Revocation are the underdogs. Their ever evolving non-compromising sound, is enough to explain that this majesty isn’t for everyone.
This song is incredibly well written, the flow from the solo section to the end is a masterpiece.

I think the chorus singing adds a certain dark atmosphere with it's drone like singing and minor harmonization. Sometimes that can be even more powerful than even the most br00talest of growlz or screams. Also Dan sounds so good with his vocals at the end!

this has been a thing since the beginning of metal! Iron Maiden is a good example, their music is almost exclusively about fantasy/horror/scifi fiction with much reference to lovecraft
You may just now be noticing it but it's definitely not recent. It's been a pretty consistent theme with metal going back over 30 years or more now.
