- DO NOT try this at home. Automatic car washes are a guaranteed scratch fest. This is exactly why we decided to give DQUARTZ a proper test in this "hell of swirling sandpaper".
DQ is our newest development - a functionalized nanodiamond ceramic coat, which is able to increase surface hardness by up to 5 points (depending on the base hardness of the paint). This means that in contrast to silica coatings, it can resist light scratches and swirls entirely.
How we did the test:
1. Audi A4 B6 was fully polished before application of DQUARTZ.
2. 2 layers of DQ were applied to half of the bonnet.
3. Other half was left completely unprotected, freshly polished.
4. Car was not driven between the application and car wash visit.
5. Inspection was recorded immediately after the wash, no additional work was done, no products were used. Tape was initially stuck on to highlight the coated/non-coated boundary, later removed for better visual effect.
6. Editing was kept to only the bare essentials, so you can see the fullest real result.

This is what the industry needs to focus on. Raising hardness for scratch resistance is huge. Much more room for error if enthusiasts want to try washing their rides on their own with less chances of causing "love" marks. Looking forward to this new product.

Also since I'm here..... what dose carpro offer that rivals gyeon can coat evo? I need something like that from carpro! Hydro O2 is awesome.
@@WhiteBeardDetail Thank you! We will not be offering DQUARTZ for sale publicly but CARPRO is in the works to create a product based off of this same tech which we will be allowed to offer on our website.
Hydro2 or Reload can both be used on all those surfaces like evo. CQUARTZ Lite can be rubbed in and off the way they describe HOWEVER we do NOT recommend applying any true ceramic coating like that without proper prep. Ceramic sealants like Hydro2, Reload, Essence PLUS... these are safe to apply quickly because they can be removed without polishing or due to the nature of application (hydro2) but ceramic coatings even CQUARTZ Lite, we take serious with regards to making sure its prepped right before applying. Otherwise you can end up with unintended consequences down the line with discoloration on some surfaces. Thats why we don't promote any coatings being super fast to just wipe on and be done.

In romania just came in 1700€ for a 50ml bottle,i better save some money and apply ppf(don't get me wrong,love carpro products but this is really expensive for what it does)
Seems excellent, any average on life expectancy and how do you remove it? Need a special solvent or simply decontaminate it with the ipa solution? Thank you. (carpro does not condone automatic washers. Never ahahah ).
Can you use SIC as it's top coat? Like the CSU + Exov4 combination?

Re the footnote "we did this so you don't have to" - I suspect what they really mean is "we did this in the hope that Dimitry's Garage won't want to". But I'm quietly confident he will want to. 🤣
What about for 🚢 🛥 specially the ones for fresh water ,that water stain the gelcoat horrible.
