My family and I have LOVED this series. As much as we’d love to go on this epic cruise, we cannot afford to - but we are so happy that you both have shared this with us so we can live vicariously through your extra “ordinary” adventures. Thank you so much!
@@OrdinaryAdventures All in all actually pretty decent thingy IMO. I mean, set pieces throw me into the galaxy far far far far away. Wonder how long the Halcyon been around in the galaxy though. If it’s really before Revenge of the Sith, it would justify the appearance. Interaction is sublime. Action. Not bad if you ask me. I have no idea about the food but if it is enjoyable good for you. If not, there may be other options. Technology for hologram also decent. Activities are fun but you might want a power bank and charge it as you sleep. Of course, this also has flaws. Singing is kinda bland. Singer is also a little flat. And price tag. Also that lightsaber thing may need a rework to make it more convincing. Rey also having a change of lightsaber may also need a little work, like doing her speech, only for Kylo to force push her down halfway and falling to the floor; she then catches her weapon as it hits the ground (she actually catches it before impact with the sound of the weapon to mask it). One small force pull to summon it (if it perpendicular to her position of falling) and boom more convincing. I mean, ideas don’t need to be good on paper, they are a basis. Execution is what counts. This was a mixed bag. Some parts good some parts not so much. As such, I’m not gonna finally say if it’s actually good or not. It up to viewer and visitors. Above is just my own opinion. Either way, you can’t nitpick on something bad and use it to spread hate. Disney did make flaws. Jon Fav may do something you don’t like. Dave may also slip in storytelling. George might make a story and you don’t understand it. That is not a reason to scapegoat them, especially Ms Kennedy who was just HIRING DIRECTORS AND WRITERS while handling the corporate things of the company. Do any of that and basically you need help, because fear of flaws in what you want leads to anger against it when you apparently see one which leads to hate on the final product as one bashes it’s flaws which leads to suffering as people get influenced by the haters who also might have their mental health get chipped away… How you think and your opinion about the Galactic Starcruiser is up to you. Imma state my own opinion but if you like it, you good. You don’t like it, I’m fine with it. You go to war about opinions on it, and I’m afraid you’ve become the very thing you swore to destroy.
I totally agree, thank you for the experience... Starwars has always been a huge part of my life, I would totally go if I had the means to do it no doubt.
The actors are incredible. It is hard enough to act live without dynamic intervention and those interactions they had with the children were incredible the way they stayed in character and pushed dialog. This really is next level performing arts.
I LOVE how into this the cast members are. Every single moment we get to see them being their characters is soo good, and I honestly think Lieutenant Croy really stole the show. He seemed like he was having a great time in that role.
It’s hilarious and heartwarming that the kids have so much attention from the crew. From individual callouts to the cast accommodating their thoughts and ideas - I love it.
That was so spot on funny of Peter, and she just flat picked it up in an instant. Created an ongoing chat about first days, really too much, this cast is beyond amazing. And how about all of them with children? They could’ve been scarier, or more dismissive, but the kids got to run the convo so much in several places. Improv with kids, oh my.
A Stars Wars Hotel without Star Wars. A Hotel is something, this experience seems more like a Star Wars Motel...lol. Thanks for the video & information, but I think I will pass...
I'm just saying - the ROAR of when Rey shows up and ignites the saber - that's all you need to know. This experience looks absolutely unreal. Thank you both for documenting it with such passion. These type of experiences are what Disney is moving to, there's no doubt. When you can only expand so far to appeal to everyone, you start appealing to the people that this kind of thing matters to most. It won't be long before Moana or Frozen get a similar stay-based experience. And for families where those movies matter most, they'll pay whatever to experience it at a real level. Either way, as a life-long Star Wars superfan, I can't wait to book my stay on the Halcyon.
I would also like to go. I hope they make a coupon or some type of group discount. I dont imagine everyone paying full price all the time. Seems like the sweet spot for price is $1k per person. I think $1.5k is about right.
This channel has recently come into my daily life. Seeing how genuine and passionate, Kitra and Peter are with their videos and experiences is truly heartwarming. It's so inspiring!
Easily the best coverage out there, looking forward to the second trip. It's unfortunately way out of my budget, so this is the closest I'll ever get to going. The second day seems significantly better than the first day, but I don't think the price is justified at all in my opinion. Thank you again Peter and Kitra for the incredible series and all the amazing work you do!
This is amazing!! Kitra, you made me laugh so hard when you opted for the drink instead of worrying about the First Order taking over the ship! It sounds like a lot of fun! Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us! I am absolutely in awe of how hard the cast worked to keep everyone entertained and included in the stories!
19:17 I usually dont like videos with children in them, but this is so special. This is who this was made for. If I had a large family I would adore my kids getting wrapped up in an adventure while I get drunk on alien drinks and play cards. This was such an adventure, this high quality camera is so good. This was like a movie. This is such a special memory.
I'm really surprised they allowed all of this to be recorded and placed online! As a long, long time fan of Star Wars I'm sooo glad you let us share this very spectacular adventure with you!!
@Latest Obsession From what I have heard, while many of the main story elements stay the same, there are several different branches. When comparing notes many of the people aboard had several different interactions based on their actions that others did not experience. This very much is a choose your own adventure, and many came out of this with differing versions of events. How they manage to keep track of the different events and make sure they respond appropriately to each guest is incredible to me, though the earpieces they have definitely help them keep track. Even so, this is Disney Magic at its best, which is good considering the substantial pricetag.
We have been LIVING for the episodes in this series. I can't even begin to wrap my head around how much work you two have put into this project. THANK YOU for making it possible for all of us to come along with you! CHEERS!!!
While I’ve been more on the underwhelmed side for the price tag, the interaction with Rae and the kids was absolutely priceless! And the yoda hologram?! I mean come on if this was around during my childhood I would remember for the rest of my life!!
The problem is I’m not going to spend that kind of money so my young kids can be impressed. I love taking my children to do things and watching their faces light up and have great memories that they bring up for many years to come. The thing is I can do that for a lot lot lot lot less. For that kind of money this should primarily be geared to adults or cut the price at least in half or extend the “cruise” for another 2 full days. There are definitely some really great things about this experience but not for the price along with the lack of actual time spent on this “cruise”.
Oh my god! How you managed to film all that and edit it into a cohesive storyline is incredible. I was overjoyed to see how happy you and Kitra were. The force is truly with you!!! This is my new favorite UA-cam video.
Thanks so much. We spent the last week in a hotel room editing and almost nothing else. It’s funny someone just commented in the last hour that the mayor of calico would make a great Lt Croy or captain.
I’m so happy you were a part of this and thank you so much for bringing us along! You both looked so COOL in your other world outfits! Thank you thank you for all the magic you bring!
What is amazing is how these actors are able to manage with all the variables presented to them. They may have a script to follow, but the guests don't have a script, so they have to remain in character, stick to the script and deal with what ever the public throws at them. This is really impressive how they pulled this off. Giving everyone a different experience. Thanks for sharing this experience. You guys made me cry.
That's what good improv comedians do. It's what made the Adventurer's Club and Comedy Warehouse at Pleasure Island such unique experiences. For a while, Royal Caribbean had roaming improv comedians on their ships as well and they were a hoot. I wonder if the actors have to remember all the names and interactions themselves or if they have a director or stage manager sitting in a control room somewhere, feeding them info about the guests through an earpiece.
@@Brandis13 i would love to see the stage manager/ behind the scenes for this hotel. It seems like it would make a good documentary. Someone has to be pulling all the strings/ making the storylines flow.
I have been loving these videos, living the experience vicariously through you. So much going on, so many story moments - big and small - going on all the time, and all tied together so well. Huge respect for Matt Martin and the rest of the LFL and Imagineering guys. I’ve literally sat here with the biggest little kid smile on my face for every second of this series…tears as well. Thank you guys, you have no idea how much these have meant to me. Gya Stan for life!
ABSOLUTELY BLOWN AWAY. No words. That stage combat is OUT OF THIS WORLD (pun intended but not exaggerating). So much respect for all the actors involved in this, and of course everyone behind the scenes. Can only begin to imagine what kind of village this took, and I so appreciate how much you two appreciate it and recognize it as performance art. So glad y'all got invited, so excited to see even more from the inaugural revenue cruise, and so grateful to you for brining us all this stunning content! 💕💕💕
literally living vicariously through yall, but especially Kitra. I cannot express enough how amazing it is to watch someone who reacts like me - excited, visibly enthused, joyful and unafaird to share - and ALSO looks like me. Yall are real people doing real things and its so refreshing to watch, and beyond inspiring, honestly. Thank you so much for sharing your journeys and travels and letting us live through you. this is so amazing, and im so excited to see you do it all again when you get to go back! also, MAJOR kudos to Kitra for being willing to go in front of the crowd!! I'm highkey in LOVE with Gaia and I'm so excited you got to do it, despite how scary it was!! You really are the main character of this journey when you embark on the starcruiser and its SO amazing to see.
Guys, the way the kids were participating brought tears to my eyes. Reminded me of the first time my grandmother took me to Disneyland, it's one of my most precious memories. I hope those kids carry those memories with them so they can share them with their children someday. Master Yoda's holocron message had me in constant tears to the point my wife was concerned. I was so chocked up that I couldn't even tell her tey were tears of happiness. Thank you for sharing your voyage with us. Can't wait for your next voyage on the Halcyon. May The Force be with You!
Thankyou Kitra and Peter for sharing this experience with those who may never get the chance to experience such an amazing time. Yall are amazing. Ignite the spark...
oh these cast members are giving PERFORMANCES like i can imagine being a kid and experiencing this has to be a lifelong memory. so immersive and exciting.
OMG, after the bridge part where Peter teared up --- it's just why I love you guys so much. Peter and Kitra you have such heart. And it is just such a joy to see you two loving life and your adventures. We are all so blessed to get to watch these videos you post. And I''ll say it again: Disney's official marketing needs YOU guys,,,because if they made your video into a special for ABC it would get so many more people interested in this experience. You are the ONLY people who are showing this as like a Super Escape Room Theater Experience. Everyone else is stuck on this being a "hotel" with Star Wars stuff to do...but that's not what it is. I'm hoping that this experience succeeds so that we could hopefully get other ones in the future. Imagine a Haunted Mansion version where you get to be in a spooky environment solving mysteries. Or if Universal did a Jurassic World version. This could be the future of a very new kind of vacation that's a big adventure puzzle. This entire thing was marketed wrong from Day One. That's why people were negative towards it. It's NOT a hotel. It's a giant game to play.
How damn epic was that!! I am so happy that this turned into a real cool Extraordinary Adventure. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. This means the world !
The more I watch these videos of the Galactic Starcruiser, the more I can painfully see the essence of what Galaxy's Edge was supposed to be. The branching story experiences, the characters/actors adlibbing amazing and fun story plots depending on people interactions, the surprise character intrusions, like those of the First Order, around different parts of the attraction like Olga's Cantina, and the excitement of running around the entire land of Batuu doing mini missions, utlizing the datapad. A large part of me feels that everything this hotel/star wars larp-esque esperience is, was once the intended experience for Galaxy's Edge. Maybe this experience will become something as time goes on (Although I cannot for the life of me see any justification in that excessive price tag), and Disney will see the value in dynamic character interactions; possibly adding it into Batuu like it was intended. But only time will tell. The success of this experience may actually provide the opposite effect, and Disney will lessen their focus on Batuu, focusing primarily on their hotel ish Star Wars experiences. But until then, I will continue to enjoy these experiences through the eyes of the Ordinary Adventurers. Fantastic coverage you two, loved it.
People hung up on the price because its a disney price... Disney is known for making guests pay a lot... I mean if you wanna buy it, its there. If not then thats fine. Disney knows the value of its own brand. People eventually pay. As someone who has never wanted to go to Disney land or any of it.... I do want to go to this. I want to wear a costume, have drinks and hear gaya sing. This seems like a special moment, worth saving a few weeks of paychecks.
@@whitealliance9540 The thing is, it has nothing to do with not acknowledging Disney products and services as highly and, shall I say, excessively priced. The Disney brand has been on a major rise in price gouging, much like many other major retail and service brands, especially since Bob Chapek entered the CEO scene. So I do agree with you in that once acknowledged how Disney manages its retail pricing, it's down to the consumer to choose wither they want to purchase said products/services,. And like you said, many people will continue to do so, therefore, Disney will continue to raise prices so long as their numbers and statistics show they have no slowdown. For someone who doesn't go to Disneyland or fall into the category of being a regular Disney consumer, it's easier to justify the purchases or pricing, because it's not a normal thing. From the outside window looking in, Disney is an expensive conglomerate that over the years, has shown no signs of slowing down. Much like purchasing an apple iphone or the like, we already come with an expectation that it's going to cost money and are willing to when we don't see it has a normal thing. We justify the reasoning, "It's a once in a lifetime deal, so money is no issue." But for the regular Disney consumer, the price gouging becomes an issue when they're accustomed to seeing the value of certain products over a period of a season, then to see those equally valued products the next season with a percentage increase in it's price. That's when people begin to complain. This is why Disney has no desire to rid the reservation system for its theme parks, even for passholders. The value is in the non accustomed consumer who does not go all the time. They are willing to spend more in justification because it's a rare experience. The regular consumer doesn't see it this way, and therefore, why they are more willing to voice their complaints and concerns when Disney slips in an overly expensive price tag on a product that said consumer would know doesnt match up.
@HSVision Galaxies Edge was planned to be fully immersive, but people didn’t buy into the plan and got mad when cast members wouldn’t break character to tell them when the 3 pm parade was or how to get to the castle. Even the menus had to be amended to make them more earth friendly.
@@barbwirewebworks I do understand and see the complications that would come from such an immersive experience. In a way it all runs down the concept that you can't please everyone. But the benefactor with having it at Galaxy's Edge as opposed to a 3 day experience is having the option to not participate at all with the immersion, yet still having a great time due to the openness of the land for a multitude of activities. Also, whereas Galaxy's Edge is but a single yet, poignant section of an entirely diverse Disney park, this "hotel" as they're continuously calling it, is not that forgivable. You're paying an immense price for a LARP experience (Let's call it what it is), masked under the guise of a hotel, where you are essentially stuck within the confines of its walls. At least, until the second day when you get to run around Galaxy's Edge for a short while before having to return. Like the commentor above stated, it ultimately comes down to the consumer, whether despite all arguments, they still find it fitting to pay the price for this kind of experience. And that's who Disney in this day and age is primarily going for. The average fan in whatever capacity (be it Disney or Star Wars) is not the focus for modern Disney. Mega fans of Disney will bite and hang on for the ride for as long as they can, making justifications for modern DIsney, until the financial limitations get so thick, no bite will be enough anymore. Disney will inevitably become an experience suited only for the wealthy. Or at the very least, the one and done experience families who would be willing to cash out the insane price tags under the justification that it's a one-time deal. Disney banks on that, which is why we will continue to see the reservation system in place for Disney season passholders. More incentive to just purchase a ticket the day you're going. The argument here is not whether Disney yet again failed to deliver a quality Star Wars experience or not, it's about Disney's ongoing rampage to weed out the less able to pay, in favor for who will, by continuously chipping away at what could be full experiences, under the delivery of a single park ticket, to make way for a stripped-down version, stamped with a higher price tag. It's Disney's way of selling you a car with missing parts that would otherwise make the ride enjoyable. The car may run, but you know youre missing something, just cant put your finger on it. Then Disney comes in and markets the missing parts that would otherwise be in the car, back to you at insane prices in such an effective way, you feel stupid if you don't get them. In a way, Disney is a sheer conglomerate genius for sales. They can sell sand to people at the beach.
@@hsvision8051 As a Floridian who grew up near WDW, I overall agree. The reality is that if this "cruise" doesn't sell well (due to the price) instead of simply decreasing that price to make the experience more marketable to a wider audience,it's more likely they will remove the CM's, make dining an add on option, basically turn the "cruise" into another themed hotel on their property, and still charge an arm and a leg to stay there. It's a shame too that I would make such statements because I adore what Disney has to offer and have so many fond memories visting the parks growing up, but hate the fact that it's become so expensive that many families can no longer afford that experience.
I swear I hope someone has shown this to Daisy Ridley. She needs to know how much the truest fans love Rey and what she’s created! Sincerely, thanks for documenting this. There are those of us who live in different States who won’t get to see this perhaps ever. I hope Floridians, Californians and pro Disney UA-camrs understand how fortunate they are… even if they do pay full price. The access is next level!
Thank you for taking us with you! What a blast! So glad Kitra had so many moments where you got to be apart of the shows. You two are great! Can’t wait to see more! Muah!
I am King Henry VIII at the Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival. We dream of giving our patrons this kind of immersion. So happy you shared this with all of us and look forward to more adventures.
The one thing I haven't been able to tell from any of the videos is if there's ambient spaceship noise throughout the hotel. I feel like half the experience for me would be falling asleep to that gentle engine hum. So cozy.
Amazing 🤩 best thing I’ve watched on UA-cam in a while ❤️ you film and document the experience like no one else. Looking forward to you going back to see how different or similar the experience will be… May the force be with you ❤️
A million thank yous for filming this, its really selfless of you to bring us along because holding up a camera to get the shots would distract you from the experience no doubt. Love you guys 🎉❤
watching yalls series on this has teared me up several times. I likely will never get to enjoy this first hand but to at least experience it through the channel and to share your enthusiasm which would mirror my own
Just like you getting goosebumps when you were talking to Ouannii, every single thing the 2 of you are experiencing with the different activities is getting me all emotional. I’m I’ve been WAITING since 1978 to have the same experience’s and interactions. I’m so jealous. As my wife use to say/ “nobody likes a bragger” LOL
This is absolutely incredible. With as much of a poor promotion it had, the actual experience is one of a kind. Thank you guys so much for sharing your journey, so wonderful.
Disney made a mistake with the early promotion videos. There is just no way to convey what this experience is without seeing it. A guy standing talking with another guy in a room gives the wrong impression
@@TheGeneral308 The two promotional videos were a disaster - the tour and the purple crew member. I feel sorry for the Starcruiser Imagineers. 6 years of development and they fumble on the 1 yard line. I had booked the first day they opened reservations, but canceled after I saw those videos. The idea of being trapped on a cheesy Star Tours ride did not seem appealing. But after positive reviews came out in the NYTimes and CNET, I rebooked. And I am glad I did. It was fantastic.
I rarely comment on your videos, but have been a long time subscriber and just felt compelled to comment on this video. I was crying right along with Kitra, and I have loved all of your Starcruiser videos so incredibly much! The editing is even more incredible than normal and I wanted to say thank you for helping me feel like I was right alongside you both throughout this experience. These videos brought me so much joy!
Unfortunately, most cast members are paid wages that are appalling. Most are hired through the Disney College Program to cut costs. At one time Disney came to my community college to promote it. Yes,one earns college credits but they still have to pay room and board.
That last climatic experience with Rey and Kylo was nothing short of extraordinary. Like the lightsaber igniting, the John Williams score in the background gave me CHILLS watching I’m sure will give me chills in the future. Absolutely incredible experience I hope to go to sometime in the future. Ordinary Adventures, thank you for filming this whole experience. Really felt like we were apart of this voyage with you. And having those key experiences with Rey and helping Rey get on board was awesome. I hope to have the same experience when I go. Thanks again Ordinary Adventures!
Your videos have been amazing. I’ve cried with you!! What an incredible experience,Thanks for documenting everything in such detail. You guys are amazing.
Truly an amazing, one of a kind adventure. I'm very glad you guys did this; as I'll never be able to go myself. Even if I did; with my limited movement, I wouldn't be able to enjoy as much as you all did. So thank you for this!
Definitely seems like an amazing time for hardcore Star Wars fans, who don't mind acting to fully partake and immerse yourself in the story. I would have preferred an extremely well themed hotel, with some activities, missions, and a loosely based story. I'm a big Star Wars fan, but not enough to the point to spend that much on this experience. There just doesn't seem like much else to do if you're not constantly engaging in the story. I'm happy you guys had an amazing time and will get to it experience it again very soon! Shoutout to the cast and crew. They all did an incredible job and they make the experience.
Can you imagine the possibilities Disney has to change this hotel's stories. They can run this story for a year, and then maybe change it to Luke and Vader, and then maybe a Mandolorian or they can bring it all the way back to the prequels if they wanted. The storyboard has been incredible
I am not sure how much flexibility there is, as much as I would like different options. I think a refresh would be good for business. There could be a "New Hope" cruise and I would go back for that.
Thank you for the awesome coverage. Personally looked at booking the June dates that popped up recently but this footage convinced me it’s absolutely not worth $6000 for the 3 of us that wanted to split the cost. It feels cheap and as someone who thought the sequel trilogy was garbage, it doesn’t have a whole lot of appeal outside of Batu trip and the side quests. Down the line if this ends up being $3000-4000 for 3 be 100% down to experience it
Value is in the eye of the beholder and their financial situation and connection to Star Wars. Some people would pay as much for an 8 hour vip tour at Disney world. To us that’s not worth it because we don’t need to ride all the rides in a day. But for us the Starcruiser experience is worth it. Others it won’t be. Not only that but the amount of interaction in this immersive story is not something you can do at a large scale. And Disney knows that, they only built 100 cabins meaning only 15,000 groups will go to this each year. The cost is because it costs a lot to build this thing and the tech and pay the performers and castmembers. There are only 100 paying groups per cruise so that cost is spread amongst the passengers of the experience. Some people will think it’s worth it and others will not. For me it’s a piece of art that I can experience from the inside. It brought me so much joy.
@@OrdinaryAdventures completely agree that money is subjective. However the quality of a product can be judged as it’s cost. For example you mention how much Disney put into this, but a lot of what you’re showing us looks CHEAP that’s what a lot of die hard Star Wars fan complain about. You’re on a repurposed iPhone for 90% of the experience when there’s already AR hybrid tech out there that could have projected messages like within the Star Wars role. In fact imagineering already done this it’s on Rise. And the whole 100 rooms to build an immersive experience is Disney PR at best lmao. Disney built 100 rooms because this entire concept is a massive risk for Parks, guess what Wallstreet doesn’t like? When you build a massive hotel that’s a new concept and you can only sell 50% of the rooms. Guess what they do like when you sell 100 and fill it and then offset your R&D expenses onto the guests lol. You can mark this comment, if this ends up being a revenue juggernaut…Disney is 100% expanding this to 200 plus rooms. Again, my problem has never been the cost I’m very blessed to be in a position where I can afford these things, it’s that none of it look quality. Gaya seems more important in this experience than anything original to Star Wars and that just doesn’t seem worth it for me.
As someone who has never had interest in a disney ride or park or cruise... I would love to go to this! Seeing the kids have an adventure, seeing the actors really submerge you into the story, its an other worldly fantacy. Its 2 days of star wars escapism. This is for sure a gift or something to take your children to. This is meant to be a very special moment and I can appreciate that.
Thanks for all your footage of this, I know people will complain about the sticker shock for sure. But its only going to get better and better as the cast members fill out their characters. imagine what this will be like a few years from now!
We’ll done you two, your videos onboard the Halcyon we’re amazing, it really showed what the concept could be and how things worked (and didn’t work) it certainly felt like there were lots of stories going on all at once and that each persons trip was unique. I hope that on your next voyage you follow a different path you can see other parts of the story!
This was insane…. Your excitement and joy made me excited. I know very little about Star Wars but you truly made me want to go… seems like an incredible experience. Not sure if I’d be lost though and really be able to appreciate it… thanks for the thorough videos. Was so cool to see
Man you guys became my number 1 channel to watch on disney, and other theme parks . Thank you for this content you guys are really awesome and fun people
Thank you so much for the indepth coverage. 💖💖 Hoping you get to relax a little on the next voyage. 😉 But you can show us Peter doing his lightsaber training. 😉🤣 -Aimee Wasn't Starkiller Base your first day? 🤣🤣
Wow, that was incredible. I feel like the actors really hit their stride by the second day. It just all seemed to gel together. That climactic scene brought tears to my eyes! I think I had such high expectations... basically wanting it to be as detailed as Galaxy's Edge. But after adjusting to the reality of what it actually is.. I think it looks pretty darn awesome.
My husband and I just found you two from this epic ordinary adventure. We love love love you both! Thank you so much for sharing SO much of this, we felt like we were there with you! Can not wait to join you on more adventures!
Seeing this experience through your eyes was amazing! I’m so glad you guys shared this. I can’t wait to watch the next cruise you did after this. I was totally crying along with Kitra and I’m not even physically there. Great video!
So happy you had a good time, Kitra. You deserve joy in your life. You bring so much joy to other people with your video blog. I hope you are having just as much fun on your second cruise and doing different missions this time.
Peter, you had the best line of the episode!! “Wasn’t Starkiller base your first day?” I’m still laughing and I first watched the vid ten hours ago. Rey responds as if for a moment she isn’t sure if you’re part of the cast or not. Bravo!!!!
Your vids have convinced me to go experience the Starcrusier myself eventually. Imagine a similar experience like this but in the universe of Star Trek instead!
The crew aboard the Galactic Star cruiser deserve a raise. I don't know what they are getting but it isn't enough. They are making memories everyone will never forget. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I was fine until Peter cried and then 😭 Thanks so much for letting us live vicariously through you guys. I’ve watched a number of these types of videos since the embargo lifted, but none of them compare to your presentation. Great editing, great commentary, great coverage. 5 out of 5 Caseys. 🧔🏻🧔🏻🧔🏻🧔🏻🧔🏻
I’m just going to say this and I really hope they do change this the part where Rey arrives to fight kylo they way she clearly goes down to switch lightsabers was off putting ( this is one of a few things I like to see improved on ) rather then then clear switching they could have maybe kylo using the force to knock her down or something to not make it so obvious or a better way to hide that I know it’s a strange thing to complain about lol but since it’s all new I’m sure it will get better
It’s not how it looks in the video. The thing on the ceiling starts falling down and everyone who is there gets misdirected to that. The problem with video is it’s just zoomed in on Rey and you can’t see the big thing on the ceiling falling
Typically in mid direction you don’t want to put any big action near the thing you don’t want people to look at. I will agree with you that there are probably better ways to switch the lightsaber out. Seems like it could have been done behind a pole or column pretty easily. But I will say that no one in the Starcruiser noticed the switch until they rewatched the video. It’s very deceptive in person even though it’s very obvious on video.
Rey's lightsaber is an actual extending/retracting light saber that Disney invented and patented - but it isn't strong enough for battle. So you get to see an empty hilt extend a blade, but then she has to switch for the battle. Jump to 1:50 here - ua-cam.com/video/BlTC0WWDs6w/v-deo.html
Thank You for sharing something 99.99% of Americans will NEVER be able to afford. Love your videos. Though I don’t agree with Disney’s corporate greed and price gouging.
We are happy to be able to share this experience with the masses. While Disney is doing a lot of price gouging in other areas I honestly don’t believe the price is this is inflated. A experience like this can only work with a few hundred people. It wouldn’t work for thousands of people.
@@OrdinaryAdventures I mean as I’m watching the show… I’m kinda changing my mind. This is like you get to be IN a starwars movie which is amazing :) Thanks for the reply. Tbh I’m kinda starstruck. I love your guy’s channel
I watched all 4 of the Galactic Starcruiser videos twice now, cuz I showed them to my girlfriend as well. Thank you so much for putting so much work into these. It's so cool that Disney has taken on this theatrical project. Getting to see a filmed media turned into an immersive interactive live theater multi-day show is exciting to say the least. I've performed in so many shows like this over the years, and hearing the audience in the final scene really gave me a hint at how much better it probably is in person. It's really hard to capture the magic of live theater without actually being there, but this series of videos was really well done.
Thank You both, Kendra and Peter. for allowing those of us, who could never afford such an experience< to join you on these visits to Disney. I am usually ill and would not be able to be a part of something I too enjoy as much as you both do. 🥰😍❤❤💫💫
Y’all’s videos have been the best coverage 👍🏻 Watching Rey with the kids was so wholesome….imagine being a kid and meeting somebody you love from a movie.
I had seen other videos from the 4 hr media preview on the activities - but I really wanted to see your reactions and they are priceless. great stuff. By the way - those first order "spies" by the turbo lift with Rei were actually the mom and younger brother of the kid in the golden tunic. I believe that was Brooke Geiger McDonald the influencer (she's on twitter). She has been posting a lot of the videos with them both. The crew of the Halcyon are awesome - both the standard service crew and the actors in their roles. Yoda Holocron - I've seen an idea of how it works - and its still a cool effect. Looks very convincing. The Rei sliding special effect is GREAT! I'm curious if they have to take a full day to reset all of the effects and areas of the ship - or do folks come on their cruise later the afternoon when you leave. Hmmm. Final comment on Stories - its so interesting that this is the culmination of what Disney Imagineers have talked about for the last 2 years- that you can create your own story on Batuu - now its really come true on the halcyon. However, the only unfortunate thing is that due to the high cost repeat visits to try and live a different story are few and far between. I also wonder if after some time will some of the live interactions fall away. You'd think for the price it would never leave- but Disney's track record on these things has not been that positive. I truly hope that this keeps going so that after the time it takes me to save up for a trip I can experience it.
I was curious about this and checked out dates. The times for the calendar mean there's only a few hours, if that between a departing group, and an onboarding one. Makes sense to maximize $ and time on board.
OH MY GOD!!! THIS IS SO AWESOME!! Thank you for sharing this. I cried when I saw Yoda. That was above and beyond what I expected. I can't believe all this happened over two days. Love you guys and Kitra, I hope you're ankle is doing better. ❤️
Thanks y’all for the great videos ☮️❤️ the Star Cruiser looks so fun but overpriced. for less money I stayed for a week in a beautiful suite @ Atlantis in the Bahamas. Spent 5+ days floating the lazy river and taking a conveyor up to a choice of water slides that go back into the lazy river. After the hype dies down, Hopefully Disney will lower the rates and po-folks can afford to go and stay on the Star Cruiser too.
I'm crying with you two! They have completed their mission by making us all emotional about your mission, being as one with the force. Thank you, thank you! 😊
I want to say, I know pretty much nothing about Star Wars, lol, never watched any of the movies BUT this looks like so much fun! I would love to do something like this. I love your channel & all the effort that goes into these videos to make us feel like we are there too! Thank you!
My family and I have LOVED this series. As much as we’d love to go on this epic cruise, we cannot afford to - but we are so happy that you both have shared this with us so we can live vicariously through your extra “ordinary” adventures. Thank you so much!
Well we are happy to be able to share the experience with you
@@OrdinaryAdventures
All in all actually pretty decent thingy IMO.
Do any of that and basically you need help, because fear of flaws in what you want leads to anger against it when you apparently see one which leads to hate on the final product as one bashes it’s flaws which leads to suffering as people get influenced by the haters who also might have their mental health get chipped away…
How you think and your opinion about the Galactic Starcruiser is up to you. Imma state my own opinion but if you like it, you good. You don’t like it, I’m fine with it. You go to war about opinions on it, and I’m afraid you’ve become the very thing you swore to destroy.
The price was a big oof on Disney's part
I totally agree, thank you for the experience...
Starwars has always been a huge part of my life, I would totally go if I had the means to do it no doubt.
@Ordinary Adventures, thanks for vicarious voyages.
Lt. Croy is the Deputy Mayor of Starcruiser
Yesssss
I agree. All the Cast Members were excellent, but Lt. Croy was the scene stealer.
The bad guys seem to have the most fun with their job.
He was also really cute 😌
It’s hilarious and heartwarming that the kids have so much attention from the crew. From individual callouts to the cast accommodating their thoughts and ideas - I love it.
Peter your "Was starkiller base your 1st day?" was spot on comedy!! PERFECT!!
😂thanks
“ we don’t like to talk about that “😂
Peter is so clever. He always has the best things to say.
I have this urge to hug every cast member and tell them what an amazing job they're doing for keeping the guests engaged and included. ❤️
They are all awesome
A Stars Wars Hotel without Star Wars. A Hotel is something, this experience seems more like a Star Wars Motel...lol. Thanks for the video & information, but I think I will pass...
☀️🌝🌞
LITERALLY THO
Go with three friends and it’s $1500 a person
This channel has recently come into my daily life. Seeing how genuine and passionate, Kitra and Peter are with their videos and experiences is truly heartwarming. It's so inspiring!
😁 thank you
Hearing Kitra’s pure joy during the battle was my favorite part. Looks so fun. 💙💚
🥰🚀✨👽
Kitra is such a great Starwars name.
Thank you so much
This is amazing!!
😂
19:17 I usually dont like videos with children in them, but this is so special. This is who this was made for. If I had a large family I would adore my kids getting wrapped up in an adventure while I get drunk on alien drinks and play cards.
This was such an adventure, this high quality camera is so good. This was like a movie. This is such a special memory.
🙌 totally
I'm really surprised they allowed all of this to be recorded and placed online! As a long, long time fan of Star Wars I'm sooo glad you let us share this very spectacular adventure with you!!
They invited us to cover it and allow filming for regular guests
@Latest Obsession From what I have heard, while many of the main story elements stay the same, there are several different branches. When comparing notes many of the people aboard had several different interactions based on their actions that others did not experience. This very much is a choose your own adventure, and many came out of this with differing versions of events. How they manage to keep track of the different events and make sure they respond appropriately to each guest is incredible to me, though the earpieces they have definitely help them keep track. Even so, this is Disney Magic at its best, which is good considering the substantial pricetag.
I'm really surprised too. These videos literally showed the entire experience instead of just highlighting it.
We have been LIVING for the episodes in this series. I can't even begin to wrap my head around how much work you two have put into this project. THANK YOU for making it possible for all of us to come along with you! CHEERS!!!
🥰 thank you so much
While I’ve been more on the underwhelmed side for the price tag, the interaction with Rae and the kids was absolutely priceless! And the yoda hologram?! I mean come on if this was around during my childhood I would remember for the rest of my life!!
If I was them I would have this memory for the rest of my life
The problem is I’m not going to spend that kind of money so my young kids can be impressed.
This place is a core memory generator for sure!
I love the girl who said to Rey "You're British", and the Rey actress is simply delightful.
Haha
I’m so happy you were a part of this and thank you so much for bringing us along! You both looked so COOL in your other world outfits! Thank you thank you for all the magic you bring!
Thanks for watching
I LOVE the lieutenant character. He’s so funny he almost makes me want to cooperate :)
He looks like the nicest guy until he starts talking 😭 I bet he’s a really cool guy irl
Yea that guy was money.
@@overjuach173 Even out of character he is IN character. I heard he screamed at GeekySparkles of ClownfishTV.
And they NEVER break character.
How great would it be if Adam Driver did this on his own accord but came dressed as Matt the Radar Technician.
🙌🙌🙌
literally living vicariously through yall, but especially Kitra.
👏
They are amazing my question is are they different cast members or will it always be the same crew?
@@joelfarley8654 I've already seen another cast show up on another channel's video.
It is so sad they are closing it down. Looks like such a great experience. I was looking forward to experiencing it some day.
Agreed!
The incredible genuine reactions from the both of you during the entire cruise was awesome thank you guys so much for enjoying this for us
Thank you
I swear I hope someone has shown this to Daisy Ridley.

So cozy.
There’s definitely ambient noise and music throughout the ship. I wish they would release it
Amazing 🤩 best thing I’ve watched on UA-cam in a while ❤️ you film and document the experience like no one else. Looking forward to you going back to see how different or similar the experience will be… May the force be with you ❤️

Thank you for taking me on this adventure with you guys.
This is absolutely incredible. With as much of a poor promotion it had, the actual experience is one of a kind. Thank you guys so much for sharing your journey, so wonderful.
Agreed
I hope these actor cast members are getting paid well! I don't know how they will keep this up all day, three days in a row, and on and on and on.

Thanks so much Mark
Your joy is contagious! Thank you guys for being you and giving us such amazing content
😁 thank you
Truly an amazing, one of a kind adventure.
GREAT JOB, you guys are great Star Wars's ambassadors.
Thanks for watching
Totally
Thanks for all your footage of this, I know people will complain about the sticker shock for sure. But its only going to get better and better as the cast members fill out their characters. imagine what this will be like a few years from now!
💯
We’ll done you two, your videos onboard the Halcyon we’re amazing, it really showed what the concept could be and how things worked (and didn’t work) it certainly felt like there were lots of stories going on all at once and that each persons trip was unique. I hope that on your next voyage you follow a different path you can see other parts of the story!
The shear amount of food coloring they probably had to buy for all the food... 😅
Haha
I have absolutely loved every single second of this. Thank you for taking us along. May the force be with you both……always!
This was insane…. Your excitement and joy made me excited. I know very little about Star Wars but you truly made me want to go… seems like an incredible experience. Not sure if I’d be lost though and really be able to appreciate it… thanks for the thorough videos. Was so cool to see
😁 thanks so much
Man you guys became my number 1 channel to watch on disney, and other theme parks . Thank you for this content you guys are really awesome and fun people
Thank you so much for the indepth coverage. 💖💖
Hoping you get to relax a little on the next voyage. 😉
But you can show us Peter doing his lightsaber training. 😉🤣
-Aimee
Wasn't Starkiller Base your first day? 🤣🤣
We plan to relax more next time
Peter and Kitra thank you for taking us on this adventure!!! I felt like part of something special getting to see this through your experiences!
Thanks so much ☺️
Wow, that was incredible.
Thanks so much Laika! ☺️
56:26 Wow... All Disney cruises really do have fireworks. Even if they're in space.
Seeing this experience through your eyes was amazing! I’m so glad you guys shared this. I can’t wait to watch the next cruise you did after this. I was totally crying along with Kitra and I’m not even physically there. Great video!
🙌 thanks
Sweet lightsaber battle between Lonestar and Dark Helmet! I’m so glad they used the Schwartz!
So happy you had a good time, Kitra. You deserve joy in your life. You bring so much joy to other people with your video blog. I hope you are having just as much fun on your second cruise and doing different missions this time.
Fun fact: terateak Comes from a red flower pod native to batuu, The pod kind of looks like a cross between dragon fruit, Pineapple and pinecone
👍
@@OrdinaryAdventures it was also a healing item from the vr game tales from galaxy’s edge
Honestly the best part about Galactic Starcuiser from what I've seen so far is how good a time people like y'all are having.
Yes totally
Peter, you had the best line of the episode!! “Wasn’t Starkiller base your first day?” I’m still laughing and I first watched the vid ten hours ago. Rey responds as if for a moment she isn’t sure if you’re part of the cast or not. Bravo!!!!
😂

Thank you so much for bringing us on this journey. It was an honor to get to see you have these experiences. Here's to many more ordinary adventures
Thanks Chelsea ☺️
Your vids have convinced me to go experience the Starcrusier myself eventually.
Imagine a similar experience like this but in the universe of Star Trek instead!
Star Trek had an experience in Las Vegas but sadly it doesn’t exist anymore
Thankyou guys for allowing us to share this amazing experience.
😄
Thank you guys for sharing your experience! I have a trip booked for the galactic starcruiser in a few months :)
Hope you have a blast
The crew aboard the Galactic Star cruiser deserve a raise. I don't know what they are getting but it isn't enough. They are making memories everyone will never forget. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I was fine until Peter cried and then 😭
Thanks so much for letting us live vicariously through you guys. I’ve watched a number of these types of videos since the embargo lifted, but none of them compare to your presentation. Great editing, great commentary, great coverage. 5 out of 5 Caseys. 🧔🏻🧔🏻🧔🏻🧔🏻🧔🏻
Thanks so much Casey
Honestly I'd love to see this cruise as a animated short. I feel like the story here was told better than the sequels.
That’s a compliment
I’m just going to say this and I really hope they do change this the part where Rey arrives to fight kylo they way she clearly goes down to switch lightsabers was off putting ( this is one of a few things I like to see improved on ) rather then then clear switching they could have maybe kylo using the force to knock her down or something to not make it so obvious or a better way to hide that
I know it’s a strange thing to complain about lol but since it’s all new I’m sure it will get better
It’s not how it looks in the video. The thing on the ceiling starts falling down and everyone who is there gets misdirected to that. The problem with video is it’s just zoomed in on Rey and you can’t see the big thing on the ceiling falling
@@OrdinaryAdventures yea I seen that in another video but still should do like a blast of smoke or something or other effects to add with it
Typically in mid direction you don’t want to put any big action near the thing you don’t want people to look at. I will agree with you that there are probably better ways to switch the lightsaber out. Seems like it could have been done behind a pole or column pretty easily. But I will say that no one in the Starcruiser noticed the switch until they rewatched the video. It’s very deceptive in person even though it’s very obvious on video.
I didn't even notice it TBH...
Although I did wonder why her lightsaber didn't retract at the
Rey's lightsaber is an actual extending/retracting light saber that Disney invented and patented - but it isn't strong enough for battle. So you get to see an empty hilt extend a blade, but then she has to switch for the battle. Jump to 1:50 here - ua-cam.com/video/BlTC0WWDs6w/v-deo.html
Thank you two for providing this series of videos. Seeing the Halycon was great but seeing it through your eyes was even better.
@@OrdinaryAdventures I mean as I’m watching the show… I’m kinda changing my mind. This is like you get to be IN a starwars movie which is amazing :)
Thanks for the reply. Tbh I’m kinda starstruck. I love your guy’s channel
“You’re an adult and you’re British” 😂
😆
16:26 Hahaha there's the guys from DIS Unplugged
👍
I watched all 4 of the Galactic Starcruiser videos twice now, cuz I showed them to my girlfriend as well. Thank you so much for putting so much work into these. It's so cool that Disney has taken on this theatrical project. Getting to see a filmed media turned into an immersive interactive live theater multi-day show is exciting to say the least. I've performed in so many shows like this over the years, and hearing the audience in the final scene really gave me a hint at how much better it probably is in person. It's really hard to capture the magic of live theater without actually being there, but this series of videos was really well done.
Thank you for sharing this great adventure. I hope one day to be able to afford for this experience !
Thanks for watching and we hope you get there
Thank You both, Kendra and Peter. for allowing those of us, who could never afford such an experience< to join you on these visits to Disney. I am usually ill and would not be able to be a part of something I too enjoy as much as you both do. 🥰😍❤❤💫💫
Thanks so much
Y’all’s videos have been the best coverage 👍🏻 Watching Rey with the kids was so wholesome….imagine being a kid and meeting somebody you love from a movie.
Hey it's the SuperCarlinBrothers .. it is so much fun seeing other youtubers randomly
👍
Thanks for watching the whole thing
That part with Rey interacting with the kids 😂😂😂😂. Kids are so funny
Agreed. Anytime the characters were interacting with kids it was hilarious
Thank you, thank you very much for sharing this experience with us
🙌
Thanks y’all for the great videos ☮️❤️
the Star Cruiser looks so fun but overpriced.
for less money I stayed for a week in a beautiful suite @ Atlantis in the Bahamas.
What a fun cruise in SPACE 😂🙌🏼
But is it worth 6000.? Honestly?
So much fun!
