Honestly Winnie The Pooh was more enjoyable to me than The Exorcist. The Exorcist Believer was the worst of the year because it had the budget, all the odds and the original cast and it was STILL flat. And thats the worst kinda movie. Not bad not good but boring. The Exorcist Believer is oatmeal in movie form
A Haunting in Venice isn't just LIKE an Agatha Christie story, it IS one. I have no idea why they marketed it as a horror film, because that's not what it is, and that was sure to piss people off. Oh, Skinamarink, the single most tedious thing I've ever sat through. I feel bad ragging on it because its director did what I've been trying to do, i.e. make a cheap film and get distribution, but for the life of me, I cannot figure out how he spent 15,000 dollars on this. He shot on a cheap camcorder in his own house, with no score, only public domain cartoons on the TV, and with about 95 to 98 percent of the shots having no actors in them, just shots of the house interiors. Where on earth did the money go? Me and my friends spent the bulk of the 90s shooting stuff on a camcorder and it cost basically nothing. Did those two little kids negotiate for huge salaries?

Skinamirink is not for everybody. You really need to become immersed in the atmosphere. Never has a movie gave me a consistent feeling of absolute dread and anxiety for over an hour straight. The theories and analysis videos are a treat to explore. For me, it was the best movie of 2023, easy.
That wall background if i give it a wall color will be RED and heres why i choose that color than white? That is because white doesnt work at all to my personality i dont like white its too much, RED is a beautiful color for tour studio room because you have lots of horror merchandises and collectables that if the color RED works then that is the color I would choose.
Love the new look. thanks for getting rid of the tv. the glare is gone, nice...the white walls really make the posters pop out , especially the poster on the right side. well done.

I liked M3gan and while its not on my favorite movie list, it was a fun movie that i very much enjoyed. Child's Play 2019 wins always over M3gan for me. Love that remake. I skiped FNAF because i already saw the ripoff movie Willy's Wonderland with Nic Cage and loved it. That movie for me is canon with Drive Angry 2011. I didn't like Haunting in Venice either, mostly because i read the book its based on and they adapted somewhere between 5 & 10% of the book. The rest was creative liberty. Even if i didn't read the book i would probably dislike it because of subgenre of horror and lack of scares as a horror movie.

I'm not sure if anyone here responded to your question at the beginning of the video but the dark charcoal gray sounds like a good paint color idea for your media room. Maybe consult with the folks in the paint section at Lowes or Home Depot, or an interior decorator for the best ideas.

Top movie of the year M3gan. But I my favorite horror movies are Sleepaway Camp, Return of the Living Dead, and Day of the Dead. And I'm more interested in the themes and philosophy of the story.
Paint the wall midnight purple! Grey is nice too. Just did my kitchen in that. So agree w Insidious. The first one was so damn good n the rest were like huh. We need a new Casper movie but make it a bit scary.
Oh my god Blair witch really wow another movie i walked out of and it dyed at the box office and was slammed by critics saturday night live and audiences alike. Cmon bro your way to smart for that.
The Exorcist, for me, is the greatest horror movie ever made. How did DGG fuck up Believer so bad? The Heretic was bad. Really bad. But, at least with that I felt some guilty pleasure...
Top 10 Worst Horror Movies of 2023: (8-10 are decent movies, while 1-7 are the shitbombs.) 1. Nefarious (2023) 2. Skinamarink (2023) 3. Children of the Corn (2023) 4. Pet Sematary: Bloodlines (2023) 5. The Black Demon (2023) 6. Bird Box: Barcelona (2023) 7. Fear (2023) 8. The Exorcist: Believer (2023) 9. Haunted Mansion (2023) 10. The Sacrifice Game (2023)
I liked the theatrical version of M3GAN but I felt that the unrated version was more effective so i'm hoping that the sequel is rated R. The elevator scene in the unrated version is better especially how Megan is methodical in her narration in how the outside world will view his passing as a murder/suicide is just chilling. I will agree that some characters could have been fleshed out more before establishing their deaths but overall I enjoyed the first film and can't wait to see what is planned for the sequel.
I've noticed that everybody talks about their top favorite movies but not their top favorite shows of the year. Here is my list. 1. Twisted Metal 2. The Lincoln Lawyer 3. Reacher 4. The Last of Us 5. Chucky
Jared Letto plays the villain . 'nuff said. I hear you on bored. If I doze off on a supposedly horror movie? The word bore is applicable. Sum up of Exocist. Got a Demon in the Neighborhood ,Who you gonna call? Exorcist Busters. What a joke.
Yup, quite a few here I'm not sorry I missed. I'll agree with others in that I don't mind M3GAN, but I'll take the Child's Play remake any day. And given there were plenty this year I figured I wouldn't like and chose to avoid, I only have a top 5 with an honorable mention, with rants. For your reading enjoyment (Lee, you might laugh at my top two): HM - It Lives Inside. I wanted to like this more, and appreciated the cultural and emotional themes. But it's too generic and familiar for its own good. Maybe it might have benefited from a harder rating. 5. Skinamarink. Another I wanted to like but can only see it as an ASMR film with the odd jumpscare. Not the worst, has some interesting elements and ideas, but isn't engaging enough for me. 4. Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey. Considering this is a shoestring rip-off of several slasher franchises, making Pooh Michael Myers and Piglet Jason Voorhees, and goes the route of being deliberately bad with lame effects (except for the gore), I kinda love it. It's better than many other crappy flicks of its ilk, yet I understand why people hate it. 3. The Exorcist: Believer. I do believe that I'll never watch this again, and won't be deceived into watching its sequel. It started out okay, but as soon as the girls show demonic signs, it nosedives. I suppose it's better than The Beginning or The Heretic, but even that's debatable. The most disappointing of the year. 2. Meg 2: The Trench. I knew this would be bad, but I hoped for fun bad like the first. Instead we got Asylum bad that not only took from pretty much every terrible shark movie out there, but also Jurassic World and most embarrassing of all, Captain Planet. Pitiful. At least the Jaws 2 joke was amusing. 1. Big Shark. Tommy Wiseau's latest disaster, blending The Room with Jaws in a way that's so incompetent, uneven and unbearable, that I nearly want to apologize to Meg 2. Unlike The Room, which was unintentionally funny, this does its best to be "so bad, it's good" yet ends up being "so bad, it's bad, like PAINFULLY bad", and thus the most hilarious of 2023. I'll never watch it again, unless it's at one of those cult screenings that invites audience derision.
I was so disappointed with The Red Door. I watched the first four movies for the first time leading up to the new one, and this one didn’t deliver for me.
I agree with you regarding Megan. This movie reminds me too much the reboot of Child’s Play but Child’s Play is waaaaayyyyy better. Skinamarink is definitely a torture. The first time I watched it I fell asleep so I tried to watch it again the next day and I succeeded it, but it’s like you said. I appreciate doing something different but this movie is really boring and it’s really difficult understand the intentions of the director. Another one I didn’t like it’s Talk to Me. The hand thing is really dumb in my opinion, really weird movie (and definitely gross if you think the scene with the dog) and it reminds me too much Evil Dead so there is no originality or personality in that movie. I really enjoyed Evil Dead Rise and Dark Harvest
Skinamarink was pretty painful to watch. But my worst of the year would have to be the Exorcist. My expectations were high and i really wanted it to be a good movie...and it just wasn't. Blood and Honey was a stinker, 2 hours lost
You can tell by your top 10 you avoid really really bad movies haha. But I don’t blame you at all. Though skinamarink is one I just flat out avoided after so much negativity surrounding it. I might have gave in to curiosity if the film was shorter. Now this lot is in no particular order, but each and every one I had a painful experience with. They were either incredibly boring or very very lack lustre. For a long time I’ve always tried to see as many films as I can in the year. But thing is my free time is valuable, so next year it’s all about quality and not quantity for me. If a movie is said to be bad I will avoid. If a film doesn’t look like my type of thing, I will avoid. Here are the absolute stinkers in my opinion. I will never watch any of these ever again. Five nights at freddy’s The Meg 2 - I enjoyed it at the time but the more I thought about it the more I disliked it. So I guess it’s the most ok one on this list for me as I didn’t suffer during lol. The flood Slotherhouse The nun 2 Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey Re/member No one will save you Nightmare Quicksand Viking wolf Snow Falls Unwelcome Don’t look away Natty knocks The black demon A haunting in Venice Bloodthirst - this one is the only one on the list with something for me! And that something was just being able to watch Costas Mandylor for 90 minutes. At least he looked hot in this very very shitty Z list vampire movie. He was actually the only reason I watched this 😂
Yeah Charlotte there are a lot of movies, like say on Shudder, that I usually don't even bother with unless I hear a lot of buzz on said movie. I'm sure there are far worse movies out there that I didn't see. Oh...and definitely check out A Creature was Stirring. You'll thank me!
@@DrumdumsOfficial yes! I really want to see that! I can’t find it anywhere here in the UK at the moment. I’ve been checking around regularly though. Hopefully soon! I love a good creature feature.
I enjoyed M3GAN a lot, but I agree that the Child’s Play remake is better. For my money it’s wildly underrated. No it’s not Brad Dourif or Don Mancini, and the design of Chucky is weird, but it’s such a fun slasher with some neat ideas and good performances. Mark Hamill does an excellent job voicing the Buddi doll and it’s one of my favourite slashers of the last few years. Great work as always Lee 👏
Nailed it with the bored comment - if I’m constantly grabbing my cell phone during a movie that’s a problem - means I’m bored and not good, my time is valuable and I can’t stand wasting 2hrs watching a boring movie. Also agree with you on the Child’s Play remake being better than Megan. Five Nights at Freddy’s surprised me, I’m a gamer, but not a fan of that game but I really enjoyed the movie.
Honestly I didn’t hate Winnie the Pooh blood and honey 😕😕😕😕 I was one of the very few people who liked the movie. NOT PERFECT WHATSOEVER FOR GODS SAKE BUT not as horrible as people say, I was expecting something of low quality (especially because of the low budget) and I liked it. Biggest problem is it takes itself way way too seriously!!! Hope the upcoming sequel will me 1000x better.
The worst sin a movie can commit isn't boredom, it's making you regret having watched it and by far the worst movie of 2023 (in my humble opinion) is A Creature Was Stirring; I'm genuinely baffled that you and Sinister Cinema are actually recommending it to people...🤷🏻♀
But doesn't boredom make you regret watching it? Yeah I'm not surprised if someone doesn't like A Creature Was Stirring. It's not for everyone. But I found meaning in it, and the practical effects were jaw dropping.
Well, there are worse regrets than boredom but you make a good point about finding meaning in it; if I had ever lost someone to drug or alcohol addiction the movie would have landed quite differently for me. Thanks, thats an interesting consideration to ponder...@@DrumdumsOfficial
The worst horror for Me was definitely insidious the door of failure, I walked out half way it was hard to care about Dalton since he was a little bitch the whole time

29. Bury the Bride
30. Shingles the movie
31. Summoning Sylvia
32. As Certain As Death
33. VHS 85
Awesome list!
Interesting list
Thank you!
Paint it Red semi gloss. my office is that color
Exorcist:Believer is not the worst movie ever, but it really felt like a legit money grab and the story was weak.
I couldn’t agree more with you with the exorcist that final act was horrible
Yep. Atrocious.
I’m surprised Winnie the Pooh isn’t on your list
@@Doglover79586 I didn’t see it thankfully.
@@DrumdumsOfficial lucky you
1. whinne the pooh B&H, 2. shazam, 3, the flash, 4. nun 2, 5. believer: exorcist
paint the wall red to emphasize your love for slashers 😎
I actually liked a lot that’s on this list including, insidious 5, M3gan, fnaf and the exorcist believer I swear I’m the most controversial horror Stan out there lmao
1ST OF ALL YOU THE BEST HORROR CHANNEL I'VE EVER SEEN, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, I HAVE A IDEA, HOW ABOUT IF YOU DID THE WORST AND THE BEST OF EACH DECADE, SAY GOING BACK TO THE 60'S MAYBE AND UP TO NOW, THIS IS JUST A SUGGESTION
Love that idea Maurice! And thank you!
Guess Lee didn't see "The Outwaters" this year. 😄😄
Haha nope.
Dude, I totally thought dark gray and definitely matte
😂me too
Nice thank you!
Agree with you about haunting in Venice. Right it was really dumb and silly.
Yep.
Top movie of the year M3gan. But I my favorite horror movies are Sleepaway Camp, Return of the Living Dead, and Day of the Dead. And I'm more interested in the themes and philosophy of the story.
Both Haunting in Venice and death of the Nile bored me I wish Kenneth Branagh can make his mystery movies more interesting
That may be it. I'm just not a fan of his.
I can sit through bottom of the barrel stuff from people like Mark Polonia.. But Exorcist Believer was tough. Man I genuinely hated that movie.
Charcoal Gray or Black is my first choices that come to mind
Thanks for the suggestion!
Top 10 Worst Horror Movies of 2023:
(8-10 are decent movies, while 1-7 are the shitbombs.)
1. Nefarious (2023)
2. Skinamarink (2023)
3. Children of the Corn (2023)
4. Pet Sematary: Bloodlines (2023)
5. The Black Demon (2023)
6. Bird Box: Barcelona (2023)
7. Fear (2023)
8. The Exorcist: Believer (2023)
9. Haunted Mansion (2023)
10. The Sacrifice Game (2023)
The nun II was my favorite horror of the year
I respect that!
M3gan really should have skipped the origin and went right into psycho mood with flashes of its past
Yep.
Hey Lee and paint the wall blue 👍🏾
I've noticed that everybody talks about their top favorite movies but not their top favorite shows of the year. Here is my list.
1. Twisted Metal
2. The Lincoln Lawyer
3. Reacher
4. The Last of Us
5. Chucky
Nice!
Lee, any filmmaker that complains about your "worst of" list should receive a special, dedicated video about why their movie sucked so hard in 2023.
I agree haha.
Paint it Blood Red lol
Haha nice.
For me the worst horror movie of 2023 was V/H/S 85.
Yeah don’t bore me in a movie.
For your reading enjoyment (Lee, you might laugh at my top two):
HM - It Lives Inside.
Hell yeah love the CP remake.
I was so disappointed with The Red Door. I watched the first four movies for the first time leading up to the new one, and this one didn’t deliver for me.
Yeah and it looked promising. I liked that they were catching up with the kid from the first. But what a waste.
Exactly!
Skinamarink was pretty painful to watch. But my worst of the year would have to be the Exorcist. My expectations were high and i really wanted it to be a good movie...and it just wasn't. Blood and Honey was a stinker, 2 hours lost
I wasn't getting as angry with Exorcist B like I was Skinamarink haha.
Blood red. Eggshell.
Ooh nice.
Five nights would be one of the worst of the year for sure!
Meg 2
That’s the worst for me.
I loved the book too.
Fnaf fans: How dare you😡
Haha they loved it. I hate cutaway kills and messy subplots.
Five nights at freddy’s
The Meg 2 - I enjoyed it at the time but the more I thought about it the more I disliked it. So I guess it’s the most ok one on this list for me as I didn’t suffer during lol.
The flood
Slotherhouse
The nun 2
Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey
Re/member
No one will save you
Nightmare
Quicksand
Viking wolf
Snow Falls
Unwelcome
Don’t look away
Natty knocks
The black demon
A haunting in Venice
Bloodthirst - this one is the only one on the list with something for me!
I love a good creature feature.
no one will save you was really good, i liked it
Megan!!! Loved Megan its a fun easy digestible movie
Awesome!
Yes! The CP remake is sooooo underrated.
This dude puts Halloween ends in his top 3. I'm done
Get over here.
FNAF and insidious red door were sooo disappointing
Matte charcoal gray
Haha thank you!
Preach brother.
I love your energy, insights, but you are dead wrong on M3GHAN.
An opinion is not wrong, and definitely not dead wrong.
Okay Lee I like you BUT... I love M3GAN. Wonderful Knife is bad... this one is great! Cant wait for the sequel🎉🎉🎉
I thought M3GAN was ok. My pre-teen girls loved it.
Well that's awesome. I think a younger audience would enjoy it.
Finally someone who agrees with me about Megan. It’s terrible. Horribly written and just a slog of a film.
Yep!
I felt really disappointed by M3gan. I'm glad it was so successful but it didn't work for me lol
The worst horror for Me was definitely insidious the door of failure, I walked out half way it was hard to care about Dalton since he was a little bitch the whole time
Yes it was horrible.
