I'm originality from Argentina and I'm sorry to say this, but if that sauce is made with cilantro instead of parsley, is not a chimichurri sauce. It must be pretty good and you can call it whatever you want, but not chimichurri. Happy Birthday Carson!

Well maybe that's how your family made it. According to Wikipedia...Chimichurri is an Argentine sauce made with parsley, garlic, olive oil, red wine vinegar, and red chili peppers or flakes.
