God bless you, Chris. Thank you for being a hard working African-American who didn't run around blaming everybody else for everything. I see that every day and it breaks my heart....some people have so much potential and can't let go of that attitude and just can't get anywhere because of that. And it's like talking to a wall to try to argue w/them about anything. You are an inspiration and I hope they take note.

This was wonderful. I didn't get to hear any of Chris' interviews before or directly after the release of the movie. I esp like the point he makes regarding kids today & how parents give too much. It IS time that parents start taking shit back. Too many feel they are owed a life when all life owes them is a swift kick in the rear. It's why our oldest child had to get a job if she wanted a cell phone, then later a car, spending money, etc.. She learned to be responsible & we're proud of that.

I've experienced similar places in my life like this movie with my son.... and why it's in my top five of all time. I've concluded that even though it "might" be harder with a 5yo vs a 14mo old.....as told in the movie..... I think it was an advantage for the child in real life to be that young than a 5+yo.

Nice interview, what an iconic personality. However of all the light hilarious punches he threw in the entire interview, there is one thing at the last which he says, sums it up -
"That's where a lot of parents blow up, we tries to give our children the things we don't have, thinking it will gave them a better life and then we find sometimes that we give you guys too much. Its time for parents starting taking those back."
I as a parent was always a firm believer of this. You want something, you got to earn it, no matter how trivial asks i am putting on to you. You may be pissed on me today for doing this, but towards the end you will be thankful to me for doing that, like i am thankful for my parents for the same today.
