Like most theatre companies at the moment, BOAT has no income. Unlike most theatre companies, we only stage one show a year which means we have had no ticket income since 2019 and don't expect any until 2022. As a charity we rely on income from ticket sales to keep afloat and maintain the high production values you've come to expect. We would be very grateful if you would consider making a donation to BOAT to help us weather the storm. Any amount, however small, would be most gratefully accepted.

Thank you for posting these. I'm teaching 'The Tempest' right now and I've been using these videos to illustrate some of the interpretive possibilities in the text after reading scenes. I really like how each one has creative bits of staging (my students really liked the mariner being 'dragged' into the scene during 1.1!) that we can find the source for in the text.

Thank you, also, for the donation link. I made a small contribution. I hope to visit your theatre some day.

@@MrWKurtzD13 Thank you so much, William, for your kind words and your donation. We are proud of what we do in bringing Shakespeare to life, fusing the traditional with the imaginative.
It is really pleasing to hear that what we do resonates with students.
Our goals are to make Shakespeare both enjoyable to watch, and to make sure the themes and intentions of the stories hit home.
This year, we are working on more Covid secure projects - BOAT at HOME and an audio project, to be announced soon.
Next year, however, we hope to be back on the beautiful Brownsea Island, doing our thing. We'd love to see you there.

In literature we are currently reading the tempest and we also had to act out certain scenes in front of the whole class. As a theatre kid myself, i love it when literature turns into a theatre class xD For the scene my group had to do, i played as Miranda. ^^

Sweetie, ofc this isn't mentioned in the bible, it isn't a part of the bible. It's a part of a play called The Tempest, which was written by Willian Shakespeare.
