The salty Pioneer loyalists hated me for posting true facts, well I give them my middle finger 😘! Just like Pioneer is doing that with their overpriced products, rekordbox 6, lousy support and arrogant forum staff 👏. Good video, your final 4 minutes nailed it! These "festival DJs" are a huge part of the problem, preventing a shift for more innovation and competition (which is good for *everyone* of us). Anyway, thank you!

They would never give you dual layers on CDJ’s because pioneer would rather you buy the extra players
Everything you said....FACTS💯💯💯. I had the Pioneer CDJ/DJM 2000 from 10yrs ago when it first came out. Then they went bad last year, I traded in for Rane 72 and 2 Denon SC5000M. The Denons are just way better with durability, features, innovation, a lot more fun and they listen to what people want. When my Pioneer was gone and I at the time had only 1 SC5000 and the Rane, that dual layer and track analyzing, multi USB/SD Card slots, and touch screen came in big time. Things are just a lot more fun and easier. The one thing I simply love about Pioneer more than any other is there Jog Wheel, totally unmatched. Pioneer give you less, but charge you way more. Its a shame because they really could have done more upon launching. It was a huge disappointment 4Sure.

Waited to see what the cdj 3000 had in store, but I’m disappointed as well. So I placed a order a few days ago for two Denon SC6000’s and a X1850 Denon Mixer. Worked out a bundle deal for $3,900 US dollars. $200 off. Can’t wait to get my new gear and transition to prime engine. But I will still keep my ddj1000 to use rekordbox as well. I’m pretty Stoked man. A lot of features on the Denons. Can’t wait to get my hands on them. Great vid!!

Everybody is doing the same. Ordering DENON Sc-6000 and their mixer 1850
$3900 is a very good deal for that package. Pi’s equivalent is $6800 for 900nxs2 mixer and two players when you have 4 players with the Denon setup. Thera are some good things in CDJ 3000 but with the pricetag 800 dollars more expensive than Denon it seems like fraud!
No support for Pioneer anymore. Already stop......... Now support for DENON coz they are innovating new stuff.
You nailed it. There are more highly questionable No-Gos, like why the fck is there only one single USB port with 1Amp, also no exFAT or SDXC support? The Pitchresolution is still the same, since the CDJ-1000Mk2, e.g. 0.05% at +/-10 Range, that's ancient, Denons have 0.01%!! And hell that GUI is ugly... Pioneer must be joking. Are their targeted "top-DJs" really that dumb/lazy to try out the much better brand? Ah wait, I forgot Pioneer sponsors all of them, same for the biased "reviews" we have seen so far. And finally that price. Ridiculous.
Best rant on youtube haha, couldn't agree more mate! I made the switch myself when the SC5000's came out and never looked back, recently updated to the SC6000's as Denon have shown their commitment to innovation and it's very visible in their new gear. This sturdiness crap from Pioneer really needs to stop, club/festival standard etc yet your players are less sturdy than Denon? And Denon is just for Bedroom DJ's is it?... beyond idiocracy
I was also a Pioneer fan, but no more! I am going out in the next couple of days to buy the Denon 6000 Prime, because they came up with a superior product at the right price! You can't stop people from throwing away money, but let's hope sense prevails!

Just bought two 3000s a djmnexus2 mixer...and to be honest..I'm loving them....Denon have never appealed to me...there are many updates due for the 3000 so how can you comment about what it hasn't got...

new DJ generation buy and will buy Denon and will demand more & more Denon on future raider and clubs owners and rentals for festivals will be very happy to spend much less to provide DJ gears..it's only matter of time..

Great video man... u r all right... as from now denon sc 6000 will be the club standard and Denon really worth it for all their efforts to innovate. It's their time to shine. The prime 4 is just so a great piece of kit. Moving to it was the best decision i ever made despite was a pioneer big fan for years. It worth the move and denon keep on innovating to make the prime series even greater.

Yes........ DENON SC - 6000 nailed it. Support for Denon now coz they are listening and price tag is low as well.
They say it is the fastest player. Have dual core & quad processors but still no dual layers, can't analyze tracks on the go, no streaming, no multi - function performance pads on CDJ - 3000 too. Pioneer are you out of your mind.
Actually in pandamic they want to kill denon sc6000 sale by lauching CDJ 3000. The money which denon dj is talking away from Pioneer. Hopefully in 2 years they will lauch CDJ 3000nxs when clubs, festival. party will start.

Why’s everyone comparing the 3000s to Denon? They’re aimed at very different markets and different use cases. I can’t imagine that a DJ turning up at a big festival needs WiFi, onboard track analysis and a dual layer player. Both brands do well in their own areas and they should be assessed vs the needs of the markets they are targeting. I have both systems and for what Pioneer is supposed to do, the 3000s are absolutely brilliant, bar none.

Summed it up pretty well. I made the switch this year as well and I am so happy I did. People talk about the idea that Rekordbox is a far superior software and i truly belive that is not true any more. Denon listens to the public and has created an amazing product with the Prime software. And the hardware is amazing. The play/pause and cue button suuuuuuck though lol. But I'm getting used to it.
Glad you made the switch buddy! But hey, the prime software is terrible in my opinion, way off rekordbox for features. If its good for you though, fairplay!
@@KizawaDJ Far not as terrible like in 2017. It still lacks some featurs, but is stable and doing its job nowadays. Just give it 1-2 more years and it will be perfectly fine! Remember, that RB was really awful during its first 3-4 years as well (made by Mixvibes, even their logo was there, lol)
Engine software will always be updated and be uploaded on the sc5000 as well as the sc6000 for pioneer once a player is outdated no updates you get and the subscription to record box per mth greedy Pioneer

Great video mate! I agree with you 1000%, I'm tired of this Industry standard BS, there is no industry at the moment, everything is F%$&ing shut down! Ok it will come back but in the mean time dj's have been experimenting with new kit like the Denons, and who in their right minds at this time when many industries are haemorrhaging income and also personal incomes will spend well over 2k on one cdj which is not even a cd player anymore, and are far inferior to the Denons feature wise! No more "industry standard" BS please, also Ive used all types of dj equipment from cd players to technics to controllers from all brands, and who is actually that incompetent that they can't take a little time to learn a new piece of equipment with basically the same layout i mean come on..... thats what life is all about, LEARNING, PROGRESSING. if everything was the same life would be friken boring. This is exactly why I opted for the Denon SC6000 this time around. Onc you get to the different way of doing things, you realise the Denon is easily the leading player out today

The BPM FX can be adjusted by milliseconds like on the X1800 or DJM-900 nexus mixers, or just by beats?

Great opinion that’s been on a lot of minds. Annoyingly, I prefer the look of the cdjs next to my 900nxs mixer but opted for the Denon SC6000 for its features.

Pretty simple breakdown
You need to look at the market CDJ 3000's sit in. They are designed for top DJs in top clubs, venues, festivals and tours around the world.
As they are used in a 'professional performance' environment; if a situation arises where another deck is needed one will be added, therefore the need for '2 decks in one' doesn't exist for their intended market.
In terms of streaming, again pioneer are so heavily imbedded in the market that Every DJ will as standard have all their tunes in their record box, analysed and ready to go for their gig. Again this is a software update that they can bring out if the need arises.
I have had to think about this myself, and it all boils down to market their made for. Pioneer are the top end pro units currently industry standard. Dennon units are more aimed at the prosumer market, although by the way their packing tec into their decks im sure they are wanting the industry standard spot too.
I personally would side with pioneer!
the denons are nice though, and for sure pioneer will have to keep on point with software updates and feature updates if they want to keep the spotlight!
A lot of good technology but I'm not much a DJ myself, I occasionally can scratch and mix the record. It's a lot of bells and whistles on the CDJ 3000. I wonder what else after this they can make during the pandemic.

Thanks for this very informative video........Always Loved Pioneer ...it was the brand of my first controller 10 years ago........but it's pretty apparent that millions of dollars later...they are ignoring the same folks that kept them on top...don't know if it's the direction of their parent company...who has changed hands a few times over the last eight years....but anybody who gets one of these overpriced players should complain to the parent company......Denon (who I've had as well and I was happy with their players from 2004) is putting out value based equipment while Pioneer is just taking your money

Pioneer know that their market are the well known DJ at the festival whom only play a pre-prepared set, show and go. They don’t need to innovate. That doesn’t mean that they shouldn’t, but as you say, they don’t care.

Pioneer know very well what the dj community wants and need. They are not stupid. However they are milking their products because they know they have the upper hand and control the market. However this arrogance from pioneer i think will result in its own downfall , therefore causing people to switch to denon. Because to be honest, i feel offended by pioneers cdj3000. Fuck even if i was to buy it i would feel so shafted and ripped off i wouldnt even be able to enjoy it. Like you said, pioneer put the middle finger up to the whole dj community saying we know we control the scene and theres nothing you can do about it because your going to be little fan boys and still buy our products. However i think this is where i put my foot down and many other i have noticed are saying fuck you back to pioneer and deciding to go to denon, and thats what we all need to do.

Pioneer uses Apples motto, witch is they only have to beat there last product. They assume know one will every look over the walles garden @ other products. They are in a bubble where only they exist. With the internet thats not true anymore, Also price matters, especially after covid. There is a lot missing even compared to DDJ and XDJ.

All your negative points can be solved via software updates. However, the biggest dealbreaker for me is the positioning of the hotcues. Maybe they release an external controller surface later on? This is indeed a step back compared to their own controllers. The price was expected, is almost unchanged and shouldnt be our problem. With the release of the xdj xz and ddj 1000 they already made the decision to keep the cdj series for the pro market, just like the touring series of controllers. Inmusic just bought the Stanton brand so be prepared for more innovative dj products. Anyhow, your video reflected the opinion of many during the launch date. The expectations were a bit high due to the naming. They could have used cdj2500 as name to temper the expectations. Many marketing managers will try to learn from this launch, which is almost as remarkeable as that of the cybertruck, only with less favorable output.
Indeed they can be, how long it takes to for pioneer to implement them though is the real question. Also, the integrations won't be smooth due to the lack of buttons available, for example no dedicated buttons for second deck layers. I do get the argument of it being a pro DJ unit but still, CDJs aren't exclusively used by world touring DJs, they are in almost every nightclub in the UK. So at some point I'll be greeted by them, so it's not like I'm talking about systems that I'll never even see. For me, the frustration comes more from a non risk taking point of view, we wanted a unit that wipes the floor with everything else, super powerful, full of creativity and capability. However, this is far from that. Big disappointment from Pioneer when they could've really made a statement with these units, they have the capability to do them, they just chose not to, which is the sad part.

True, they need an extra DAC and extra outputs.
Not all of the points can be fixed, and maybe they dont want it. Just look what a scam Rekordbox became. Intransparent subscription bs, encrypting your database with no XML support because they wet their pants of the Prime units and they want users to use it, rather than letting their mighty CDJs doing the job. Also Dual layer requires seperate outputs, and I have no confirmation yet, if there is a Wifi-card built in. Someone should check that... then we have the answer.
Sorry pal but a software update nah, premium hardware built product and revolutionary features also priced low under $2K is a no-brainer. Denon is the Winner 🏆 all day. The Pioneer supporters are upset and disappointed because they realize and know the truth about the 2 players(Pioneer and Denon). Too much Biased Pioneer supporters and excuses. Even if the Pioneer Nexus line came out 5 years ago, Pioneer had an ample amount of time to update their hardware and add features as a leading brand and market holder in the dj world. Denon been trying to revolutionize their products for years and offered alot since. I own a lot of Pioneer products (2)cdjs nx2, djm 900nx2, djm900srt, ddj 1000srt, and so on. The Denon have made their way through with the prime series 🙌. Denon listened to music lovers and DJs all over the world that are looking for new technology in new future dj products and Denon is listening and delivering. I'm going to order my new Denon prime set (2) sc6000m and (1)x1850.

Why should the CDJ3000 have streaming capabilities? The CDJ 3000 is a professional player made for the clubs & festivals. Professional DJs don’t stream their music, only bedroom and beginner DJs do.
Also you’re comparing a budget £200 controller to a £2200 professional player. If you’re a booked DJ playing in a club you wont care about duel layer, you’ll just add another CDJ to your rider. Pioneer know their market.
You are missing the point completely. The pioneer CDJ3000 is the most expensive DJ player in the world. It is the newest and therfore should be the best, but it simple isn't. Its missing key features that cheaper products have. You need to stop looking at this from a festival DJs point of view. Only around 00.01% of DJs are festival DJs. So what about the rest of the market? "Oh well that's fine because its mot made for me", Nope, the CDJ3000 should be jam packed with features for all DJs to play on. I'm comparing the CDJ3000 with the Denon equivalent and Denon wipe the floor with them. Don't see how a single person could be happy with the constant middle finger pioneer do to its customers, constantly restricting features to force sales of other products, something Denon dont do. If you wana be a pioneer fan boy then be my guest but at least grow a set of balls.

Im not going to stop looking passed clubs and festivals because thats their market for this product 😂The CDJ isn’t for bedroom DJs. It's a flag ship model aimed at clubs and festivals. Pioneer have products like the XDJ range for those who want club like players built for home use at a reasonable price.
"Only around 00.01% of DJs are festival DJs." I don't know where you got that figure from lol. Then the other 99.99 what ever percent can use the other amazing kit that pioneer has to offer. No one is forcing you to use the CDJ3000 or any Pioneer gear for that matter.
I don’t know about you but I've actually tried out the new 3000's. As someone who has plays in clubs on 2000NXS2's multiple times I can see how these players are better for me and other DJs in my scene. Faster track loading time especially when I use 6 or 8 hotcues per track, The audio quality is outstanding, when I move the tempo by a considerable amount the kick drums on the tracks don’t loose there transient which is a big deal for me.
Im not a Pioneer fan boy lol, I don’t own any Pioneer kit. I've got 1210s and a Xone 96 mixer.
Was always a huge fan of the 2000nxs2 but definitely disappointed with the 3000. I actually think the 2000nxs2 is better than the 3000. Such a ripoff. Pioneer is all about the money now, lame. Luckily, I just received my SC6000’s today and couldn’t be happier. Until Pioneer can come up with a truly amazing piece of gear worth calling an innovation or advancement to their products...call me a #denondj #embracethefuture
I was a staunch Pioneer user for 4.5 years but no more after the way they left the XDJ-700's to die on the vine. Sold them a month ago and bought a pair of SC5000's as they'e significantly cheaper and more cost effective than this overpriced dud from Pioneer DJ. I don’t want to hear Pioneer’s lame-ass excuse of “industry standard” as means to justify extort people. They’ve had years to respond to the SC5000 and this overpriced dud is the best they can come up with? Here's my suggestion for anyone looking at buying Pioneer gear right now: If you NEED the CD slot, get a used CDJ2000NXS - way more cost effective and offer a similar experience. If you're just starting out, get the DDJ-800 - 2 platters PLUS a standalone mixer for less than half the cost of one CDJ-3000 (plus when you connect it to your laptop running Rekordbox it does the same thing. If you play off thumb drives, get the XDJ1000-Mk2 - again, it's half the price of a single CDJ-3000 and ALSO offers a touch screen.
Your reaction is just from videos and spec sheet. have you even tried to use it? to call them a disapointment? because i got pair pf mine a week ago and after one night of playng at the club with them i can not look to my cdj2000nxs2 anymore. CDJ3000 is not just a screen upgrade. it is much more. i have been playng with my DJM900 and CDJ2000nxs setup from year 2014, later added 900NXS2 mixer and CDJ2000nxs2 on 2016-2017 and used them for last 3yeras every weekend.
CDJ3000 is not only about a bigger screen. It performs so fast that i dont want to go back to my 2000nxs2 setup.
All the dj's that complain about a need for wifi and streaming services dont think that it is not reliable when you play on a bigger venue, on a festival or club / bar.
with all the mobile phones around the place you can not sure that you will not have any dropouts, connection issues and interferance with other wifi devices. so when playng at home or at small parties maybe wifi and streaming is fun to use. but as a dj that works every weekend all around the country i live - i just dont need it because i dont have time to search for tracks not on my library. also i don't think that tiesto or any other big dj name would saarch for a wifi signal on a gig to play some tracks???
Cue button placement. as a person that used CDJ1000, cdj2000, cdj 2000nxs, cdj2000nxs2 for last 10+ years. buttons next to the screen - is a comfortable place to be. because we are used to. sometimes i rest my hands on the bottom of a cdj. and buttons there would be a problem. thats why i donw use XDJ-RX2 and XDJ-XZ and only have left them for rent or for some small events when there is not muxh time to connect norma setup or not much space in dj booth. so having cue-loop buttons under the screen is the bes place to be for a long time CDJ user.
Yes denon has some inovations in theyre devices. which outperforme pioneer. but they have to make that because last 10-15 years they have not been in the spotlight because of not so interesting gear. now they are in possition to gain more and more users, but mainly from new djs, that only start theyre journey. For old djs like me and others - we like to "be at home" when we are in the dj booth. so pioneer with a cdj3000 made not su much updates on first sight but what they made - much more perfect and much more polished wolkflow for old time CDJ users. Also there is plenty room for updates in the future because gear inside is not working on it's full performance and functions and options can be added with future updates. Yes they will not add more connections or buttons but from software side there is plenty things that might be added.
So dont judge a device only by a spec sheet or other video review. me and some of my friends that have tested CDJ3000 together - dell in love with them and look forward to work more in the future.

Pioneer CDJ NXS2 was released 5 years ago. Not 10 years
The CDJ 2000 was released 10 years ago. The NXS and NXS2 are just updated units of the original 2000.
And what about CDJ 3000. After 4 years they came and Pioneer did a shit. Saying they are the fastest 6 cores processors inside, but still can't analyze tracks on the go, no streaming, no dual layers, no multi - function performance pads. Get lost Pioneer.
Dude the nexus 2 came out 4 and half years ago not 10 years ago.
Also I owned the nexus 2 and I own the new 3000 and the 3000s are way better in every way.
Night and day difference
a) The Nxs2 is based on the 2000, which was released 11 years ago (2009).
b) 3000 is better than the Nxs2 in some ways, but its far from a 'new dimension'

@@mmelice Basic things like on-board track analysis (for what that MPU?), full track buffering, performance velocity pads, better water resistance, more USB ports (just one is pathetic) and a killer-feature like dual layer or something else. And before you state "nobody uses those", well, you don't decide who uses what. I think 90% of all comments about the new CDJ speak a clear language of disappointment. It's a solid upgrade for a premium price, but nothing more. It is not the next dimension, albeit Pioneer promised it to be.
Icewave64 you are right there is some stuff they could have added to make them more 2020 friendly. But CDJs are geared to mostly large nightclubs and riders for large events.
I believe they do want their clients to keep using Rekordbox that’s not gonna change. They are designed for a DJ to be able to seamlessly go from nx1,NX2,3000 with out any relearning. If you are looking for something that’s feature packaged the Denon might be the right media player for you.
