Oh WHEW! So relieved to hear that she prefers creating and performing music over acting! I was so fearful that she was getting swept up in the whole movie thing and that we would "lose" one of the most enormously talented musical geniuses and charismatic performers to come along in generations! That place in her chest she was trying to describe where the music is coming from: her heart!
I think that with music, Grace knows she can just be herself and express whatever she wants to any way she wants to and with acting, she has to follow a script and be directed. I don't think Grace likes being told what to do.
That's exaclty the argumentation she brought forth a few months ago. Not explicitly the "being told what to do" part, although that's strong in her as well. I heard she wrote a song about it...
And a nice way to kill time. There was a problem with the sound after her first song. There was a problem with the Mic. So Grace sat on the edge of the stage and held a q & a session with the people there.
Sooo thankful that you grabbed this as well. It's good to hear where her priorities lie, and that she was able to find that out during the shoot of Stargirl. Where's "Stray"? Did you want to experience it in the moment? I would so understand that. There are a lot of recordings to go around anyway. If I ever get a chance to see Grace on tour, I will probably try to catch two concerts. One for the cam, and one for the heart and soul. The other way around, actually.
As usual, Grace being incredibly charming and loveable, though in all honesty she did write a couple of songs from her Treehouse so she does in fact write there. And, c'mon, you don't get the lead role in a movie if you are not a good actress; just Grace being humble..
So Grace is telling everyone she's not a good actress, while a few days ago I came across an article by the producer of Stargirl, Jordan Horowitz, saying that Grace was a "National Treasure". LOL
Write to the radio stations in your area. Ask them to play more of her songs. Or ask them why they aren't playing more of her songs. I've written SiriusXM several times as to why we don't hear her on their Coffee House station. They play the same old songs over and over. I'm so sick of Ezra's "Sidekick" I could scream. It's annoying and not half the song as any Grace has written. Spread the word, people!
@@drmayeda1930I'm sure there are. I have an acquaintance in radio I've been meaning to ask if I can remember when I see him. But I think that if they get lots requests they will at least try to play them. It's all about $$$. They want people to listen. That things in advertisers which brings I $$$. Bottom line? It can't hurt to make your requests known.
You can't ask her the things you want to, it's all a damn secret. Who inspires her, what's her favorite song, favorite food? Wasted questions. But probably the only ones she can answer. My first question will always be why did Lungs and Hope for Change get the back burner. She probably can't answer that either. When is she releasing new music, what is she releasing, is there an album coming, does she have songs on Stargirl, are you touring, where are you touring, and what the hell happened with Lungs and Hope for Change. All the good questions but ones she probably can't answer. I hate hate hate that secret crap. I smell too much control over her.
No, I believe she is very self conscious and as a result is very critical of her performances. Artists seldom see themselves as their fans see them and she is a very humble girl. It's part of what endears her so. I think she is already a great actress from what can be seen in her music videos.
No! She has stated that the director was very willing to listen to her and make changes as Grace saw fit in order to be more in character. I agree with the others. Grace is just so naturally likeable I think it won't be long before the whole world falls in love with this special young lady. She has a way of burrowing into one's heart.

"her heart!" That's what we call it in western culture. In India the would probably refer to it as one of the chakras.

The are great, Wish I could have been there. Thank you.
Thank you for this, funny Q&A as usual. Stargirl 2020 confirmed.

Well, we don't know about "write". She certainly put the finishing touches on "MTCBS" there, that's for sure.
5,781st yeah!!! it is like she's chatting with her neighbours

I think there may be other factors influencing play lists on radio stations.

Does anyone believe that she is a terrible actress?
Well, as she basically had to play herself, we won't find out in "Stargirl".

I think she respects actors and understands it can be a true craft that isnt easily mastered.

Not asecond, she just too modest.
