Over 1000 Joan Crawford fans were awed by this fabulous sendup by SF drag diva MATTHEW MARTIN of the campy TWO FACED WOMAN number from TORCH SONG. This the opening number of Marc Huestis presents MOTHER'S DAY WITH MOMMIE DEAREST with a special guest appearance by "Carol Ann" - actress Rutanya Alda occuring at San Francisco's historic Castro Theatre. Martin's partner played by Kai Brothers, costume by Alice Cvnt, make up by Carley Everitt, wig by Jordon L. Moore.

Having videotaped many a drag show in my day, this was a stellar performance by a celebrity drag performer who satires the genre, the star gay icon Joan Crawford, the dance, the entire essence of Hollywood glam and musicals! BRAVO, and especially to the handsome debonaire Kai Brothers who stood strong, supportive, owning his slapstick and vaudevillian antics perfectly! Never upstaged the star, channeling Fred Astaire meets Lucille Ball perfectly!

I would rather see the actual performance on UA-cam. Right now the only one you can see is Cyd Charisse’s(Which I do enjoy) but it still..
