Kalphite Blowpipe with +30 ranged strength and +60 accuracy from Fremmy jewelley seems... completely insane tbh. Like completely blowing other combat styles out of the water levels of power.
Just remember if there is a tick speedup, its very very hard to use the blowpipe without moving around. And every time you move you miss a hit. That being said, if you can minimise movement, it's ridiculously strong. Sucks you gotta take D for it. ToA sucks for off styles and wardens its mandatory to be moving making blowpipe a bad pick for the raid in general.
I'm probably going to go Fremennik for the jewelry, Morytania for Barrows, and Desert for Ancients. Dharoks with the jewelry strength bonus and double set bonus on top sounds like it's capable of crazy max hits, and boosted Ancients is the cherry on top
Seeing Hespori being the Echo instead of Hydra has possibly changed one of my picks but the other two are staying exactly what they were. I’m unbelievably excited to speedblitz a ton of bosses.
Zeah + tirranwn seems like a pretty interesting way to get into raids. 2/3 of the styles don't need armour swaps. Also lets you "melee" zulrah. Throw in fremmy and you've got insane jewellery to go with it. I was basically 100% commited to varlamore, desert and fremmy before these. But the above is kinda tempting.
Thinking that trio is such a good setup. Zeah mega salamander would be so good at Echo Dag Kings as well. I think Zeah/Frem go great together. I’m so tempted for wildy though and it wasn’t even on my radar before this.
Keep in mind with the Hespori Echo Weapon, it doesnt make switching atk styles to easy, you have to change gear then go to the combat tab and change combat stances. It could low key make it harder to fight some bosses.
Cant wait. Im thinking of going range build, so blowpipe is nobrainer. Now with this reveal my plan is settling on fremmy for the jewelery and varlamore because its new and has endgame challenge :D this is so epic!
@@doubleshine Securing a spot at the kings is going to be a huge bottleneck which is why I am hesitant on picking this rather small region to begin with. Sure it'll "start" to slow down later but by then the burnout sets in and you might not even be playing. There are 2 different king spawn sets per world, one in the OW and the other via the slayer cave. What is done with the kings is either going to make or break my choice for this reason. Item strength means nothing if you cannot even get a valid kill for the echo drop since we are all irons.
Kinda wish the echoes weren't as melee focused as they are: Desert - Ranged Asgarnia - Melee Wilderness - Melee Morytania - Tribrid Fremmy - Tribrid Kandarin - Mage Tirannwn - Melee Zeah - Tribrid Varlamore - Melee + Tribrid (Kinda) Meaning we have 3.5 melee exclusive echoes, 1 ranged exclusive echo, and 1 very niche mage exclusive echo. Kinda wish as someone who doesn't really want to go melee that we had more options. That being said, I wonder if this means we won't be locked to 1 style this time
Im still thinking a mage-focused KDF route :) Kandarin gives some nice buffs, lot of straight forward tasks, lot of nice utility areas too. Desert obv amazing. Fremmy has house options, great mage juice, and now a super insane echo drop. Very excited!
I did KDF last league and it was super fun. It will probably be even more fun with the echo weapons now. But now that there’s the DKS echo boss drop, you could skip K now and go for another zone since you have jewelry covered
The fact that the Sol spear has such high defensive bonuses (which is quite unusual for a weapon!) makes me wonder if there's going to be a combat mastery that buffs you based on your defensive stats. A hidden synergy would explain why a weapon that *seems* to be around the mid-late-game tier is dropped by an (I assume) endgame objective.
Everyone beware there is an error in the reveal video! That is not how ahrims will work confirmed by Mod Arcane, it’s 50% for 30% damage not 60% damage!
@@mrskim5862 yeah mage was op last leagues but ranged and melee both get stuff that actually changes their playstyle, mage is just getting "lol idk just be op again". I don't want to chase bis, I want to chase fun, and I feel like to do that I'm going to have to pick melee again.
@@vvoid8416I mean they are trying to change the playstyle by steering people towards elemental mage and the nightmare staff for example over automatically going for Shadow. I agree mage got shafted but you never know with the relics coming up, the Kandarin echo weapon might be crazy.
I personally don't take the attack speeds of the weapons as a sign for or against attack speed masteries cause i don't think they're tuning the weapons specifically and only for the people with the matching specialization. If you're taking wildy as a mage you're still getting the melee weapon, and it being 4 tick vs 5 tick is a pretty big deal on your off-style. We could also potentially have flat attack speed reduction which would impact different attack speed weapons differently
I can’t quite tell if you mean each individually or three separate, but gloves of the damned and sunlight bracers are competing slots so you can’t use both at the same time
@@danielramin6734 it depends what you want, healing or tanking, one gives more raw stats(Gloves of the damned+Amulet of the monarchs) and one heals (sunlight bracers+fury) or what you get your hands on first. Edit: pray bonus is good to! for the spec
V spear loves the fremmy jewelery. It scales 3% dmaage per prayer bonus, so thats 60% damage right there. Add in faceguard and sunfire top and bottom...crazy
Hard to get excited over this without the combat & mastery details out This kills varlamore as a region for me though, that'll be an impossible echo boss at my level
@danielramin6734 If you are ready for regular collo in the real game, still give it a shot because practice without having to pay death coffer is really good
Is it me that noticed we didn't get any staff weapon with the echo bosses? we have 2 swords, a blowpipe, a spear and a salamander, but no true staff... The Kandarin thing seems very bad, i mean, infinite runes is already a given in any leagues, and the weakness? well, they are ok but you forego a shield slot with the accuracy and def, and also forego the shadow, compared to the other weapons and equip you can still use them together with the armors but the burner you can't, and it makes tome of fire and water useless, so...yeah, mage got the short end of the stick honestly
When using the sunlight spears special attack does each hit give me a sunlight stack? If so it could be used constantly when training combat or in slayer
The worst part of the gloves of the damned is to get the set effect or the Amulet of the Damned effect, you have to wear all four pieces, which means you have to forego whatever awesome weapon/shield slot you may have gotten as a drop or even an echo drop. I ain't about to use Verac's Flail in Leagues.
I was really counting on the echo reward for the wildy to be an attachment/scroll that would allow for the rev weapons to work outside of the wilderness. I cant be sure ofcourse but doubt they will make a relic/masterie a specific region so this might chance my plan to go wildy
Im thinking about the synergy between Devil’s element and Ahrim’s with the amulet of the dead/gloves. 100% elemental weakness+ 50% chance to do 60% more dmg.
Honestly the bracers seem like the coolest thing because of how many different things it meshes with. Soulreaper axe would be essentially infinite healing. Do a hit and take 5 damage, then spec and heal 10. Or get all 5 stacks and you basically have a banked 80 heal. And then you can also combine it with dogsword to get double healing on sgs and ancient gs. Would be nuts. One thing I am curious though is if it would buff overheal. Like could an angler overheal you to 140+hp? Would be crazy
As a former 2x wildy champion of two trailblazer leagues, it's hilarious how un-toxic the wildy-league players were. I spent like 40% of my entire trailblazer 2 time in the wildy and only got attacked once, and it was someone trying to skull for revs.
yeh fuck the torva grind even without the crystal buff. Also probably going to be a prayer relic like RP, meaning you wont feel bad for not getting piety (which is comparable to the crystal buff). Just that tiranwynn is a bit lacking in other content. That and hunleff and zulrah dont get much/any benefit from mele relics.
You have an uncharged blowpipe up for comparison against the desert one. The normal blowpipe has an extra 20 ranged strength that the echo one doesn't have.
yeah that's kinda like the Tirannwn Set of giving the boost to other weapons, I think this is cooler though since it brings mid game weapons up to the level of stuff like scythe instead of just making Scythe even more OP
Wildy for sure got my attention, the spec on the melee weapon sounds like it could go bonkers with any relic to support it, with something like Crystal armour set bonus, that extra accuracy and damage will make that spec hit some INSANE numbers
Yeah I think Crystal with Wildy melee setup sounds insane. Only problem is fremmy is so strong that you’d also want it for the jewelry, and that leaves you without raids. I think a raids region is mandatory this league. But then again it’s all about having fun and picking content you enjoy 🙂
@ yeah fremmy is crazy! but I went fremmy last league on my main account so I spent a LOT of time there so I’ll probably skip it for my main account. I was thinking about Varlarmore for my third region because Echo Sol sounds like a raid in of himself, I think this league im gonna focus on the echo bosses more than anything since I’ve done raids the past 3 leagues 🤣
@ also an underrated part of the Crystal set with the Blessing is that you basically have near BIS melee AND range on a single item switch will probably feel really comfy
Note that the blowpipe loses the ranged strenght, so its just really accurate darts. Wich im not sure if its better than something like acb with ruby bolts
So what are our takes for regions per style? Melee - MFV, the insane prayer bonuses with the barrows bonuses and DK jewelers with that weapon feels insane. Ranged - DF…M? I really like the double hit on that bow pipe. If we can get it to 1 tick machine gun build will go hard. Mage - honestly no clue. I think mage may be the weakest this time around, but I think it will stomp outside of raids and bosses. Also I’m kinda wondering how the crystal thing will work with the hespori thing. If it’s considered a melee weapon, I could see something there being good.
Wonder if we get styles this time they did say something about combat relics not being linked to tasks or something in the summer summit. Really want to theory craft but to little information yet I think
So one big thing you didn't think of when you said about Kandarin pairing with Mory for the Devil's element is how well it pairs with Ahrims set with the gloves of the damned. Since Ahrim's staff is 1 handed yo ucan wield it with the element and then you get that bonus damage from the damned ahrims effect combined with boosted elemental damage to shred anything weak to an element.
So this not only made Tirannwn a very viable melee choice, it made fremmy STRONG. The stat boost from the 2 jewelry pieces are huge. With M + F alone, Dharoks can hit over 300s (assuming the melee relic will be similar to L4). This essentially just means melee users will actually have a free pick for region 3. It definitely changed up my choices a bit, as frem wasn't even on the table for me until this, and now its locked in unless they nerf something. If it wasn't for the fact that I want a good utility zone like varlamore or zeah, i'd be taking Tir as crystal armor is the highest melee boost possible outside of 1 hp dharoks. Crystal armor and scythe is better than torva and scythe. Edit: I think the wildy sword being 4 tic is just so people arent as stressed about getting a whip or a rapier as it is a 1h weapon. I would imagine we will still get a speed boost towards at least 1 combat style. Also, each of these bosses will likely be hard enough to wait until at least higher mid-tier gear. I doubt we'll be taking on any of these before at least a whip. By then you'll want an upgrade. I also highly agree with the sol take. By the time most people get to the point of finishing the first full colosseum to get the orb, they'll be well geared anyways. The extra healing might come in handy for ToB, but outside of that it seems like a bank filler. The spear would be awesome if i could treat it like a spec weapon, but by that point i'll have something that hits harder. Though it will probably be awesome for slayer.
Crystal is good don't get me wrong but T sucks primarily because it's so low in content. Melee build T? Enjoy regular zulrah kills with range/mage, and zalcano / gauntlet being your only other content.
@@VallianceRS Oh I agree that T would suck content-wise, and I won't be picking it, but it's genuinely 1 of those rare "rewards highly outweigh the cons" situations. I do believe the highest non-dharok hit is only possible with TFM. Pretty sure I'm going VMF though, in that order. TMF doesn't leave the best utility/skilling available, or at least not that I'm aware of.
I was going to go VF and then one of M/Z/A. After today, I am going to go VF and one of M/Z/A. I just love me some melee, and honestly the Dogsword is just so hilariously awesome that I might have to go that way. I do have to admit that the idea of going ZAF and just going all tribrid, all the time seems pretty funny with the Hespori weapon, DK jewelry, and void.
The Sunlight Spear seems to have a diferent icon for the special attack (Top-right of the stat box), similar to how Soul Reaper gets its own icon. Compare that to the Thunder Kopesh which has the standard spec icon ni the same spot. So I assume the Sunlight Spear has a spec that can be used, and then still have 100 regular spec left
Dogsword is insanely OP, you get SGS and ancient GS heals + freeze + ags accuracy + bgs defense drain. If there is a melee relic for faster attacks and a spec relic, that thing will bust everything.
dogsword + lightbearer + spec relic will go fkin crazy. probably wont even need supplies for pvm just get heals and prayer from spec while also slowly reducing enemies combat stats to that of a chicken lol
I wish we had a bit more clarity as to what combat is going to look like in this league. It would be exceptional if we didn’t have to select a single combat style, but I really wanna nail one down. I’ve done melee for two leagues now, and mage for one. I wanna switch it up and go ranged, but none of the ranged-dominant regions are really calling me.
It's funny that way, I really wished I could distribute more power to my off-styles last leagues. This leagues I was ready to go all in on one, and we might be able to through masteries, but it'll definitely be more of a process, if possible at all.
I think it's not necessarily something that you pick around, but Zeah is already so strong that it just complements and gives it this multipurpose tool. Really love the idea though and I can't wait to try it out (if i go zeah)

You are literally the only creator i want to watch for these things!
Seeing Hespori being the Echo instead of Hydra has possibly changed one of my picks but the other two are staying exactly what they were. I’m unbelievably excited to speedblitz a ton of bosses.
Doom posters have been destroyed, these echoes are insane, unless combat masteries are much weaker these are going to be nuts dps
Let's gooooo big announce today. Thought this would come later!
I love your videos! Best league content in the game. As someone who only plays leagues now, i am hyped to get hyped with you
Man I'm so glad I found your channel you're leagues content is unmatched!
Killing it last year was great this year is next level.
We're eating so good lately!
Cant wait. Im thinking of going range build, so blowpipe is nobrainer. Now with this reveal my plan is settling on fremmy for the jewelery and varlamore because its new and has endgame challenge :D this is so epic!
Does it make sense to pick desert for the drygore blowpipe, if you arent going to do raids? Is there even enough points without doing raids?
I did fremmy last year. Thinking of dropping kandarin for it again this year. Should I?
Fwiw, I'm good at vork and DKs which makes frem very appealing already.
Yeah I think Fremmy is kinda like the new Kandarin, crazy good jewelry to complement other regions.
@@doubleshine❤❤❤
kandarin looks like garbage and the jewellery is arguably the best echo drop in the entire game, so yes
Item strength means nothing if you cannot even get a valid kill for the echo drop since we are all irons.
your content is giving me a much needed break everyday bro haha. Keep it up!
The Sunlit braces healing for 80 off soulreaper axe is gonna be so fun!
This reveal makes my 3rd choice so much easier. I was debating between Varlamore/Fremmy/Wildy to go along with my 2 raid regions. Fremmy 100%
Kinda wish the echoes weren't as melee focused as they are:
Desert - Ranged
Asgarnia - Melee
Wilderness - Melee
Morytania - Tribrid
Fremmy - Tribrid
Kandarin - Mage
Tirannwn - Melee
Zeah - Tribrid
Varlamore - Melee + Tribrid (Kinda)
Meaning we have 3.5 melee exclusive echoes, 1 ranged exclusive echo, and 1 very niche mage exclusive echo.
Mory + Frem + Desert will make for some absolutely disgusting damage with ancients
I did KDF last league and it was super fun. It will probably be even more fun with the echo weapons now. But now that there’s the DKS echo boss drop, you could skip K now and go for another zone since you have jewelry covered
@@cairo_z96 I’m doing Frem for jewelry, Kourend for raids, BIS prayer, soul reaper/virtus, etc. and Asgarnia for GWD + funny dogsword, void and nex
I immediately went back to the drawing board with my entire strategy for leagues
Bloody hell this has put a spanner in the works 😂
I'm so glad I predicted an Amulet of the Damned but Better for Mory, but I didn't imagine it would be gloves and -this- good, very hyped
Good afternoon doubleshine
bit sad that mage has a single item focused on them (and not even that good of one) while melee has like, everything
Mage was easily the strongest style last leauges and melee was the worst, theyre giving you more options.
I agree with this guy^^^ melee was so shit
@@mrskim5862 yeah mage was op last leagues but ranged and melee both get stuff that actually changes their playstyle, mage is just getting "lol idk just be op again". I don't want to chase bis, I want to chase fun, and I feel like to do that I'm going to have to pick melee again.
I agree but I think the Ring and Necklace are insane and allow you to skip Kandarin, plus Ahrims with the Gloves might be strong enough as is.
@@vvoid8416I mean they are trying to change the playstyle by steering people towards elemental mage and the nightmare staff for example over automatically going for Shadow. I agree mage got shafted but you never know with the relics coming up, the Kandarin echo weapon might be crazy.
Here we go this is the big one
Jagex considering these weapons to be "one step beneath" the mega rares just shows really how OP and game changing they are.
Combo of crystal armor+ sol spear + dks jewelry looks super fun and strong so I will be going for that especially because I like cg and colo
What the fuck were they thinking with those 2 Fremmy items, holy shit
I swear they could be half as strong and still be viable
@@doubleshine Those 2 pieces, naked, is equal to wearing (venny ring + anguish) + 1.6 full sets of masori+zvb, quiver combined
What????@@Celastrous
I personally don't take the attack speeds of the weapons as a sign for or against attack speed masteries cause i don't think they're tuning the weapons specifically and only for the people with the matching specialization. If you're taking wildy as a mage you're still getting the melee weapon, and it being 4 tick vs 5 tick is a pretty big deal on your off-style. We could also potentially have flat attack speed reduction which would impact different attack speed weapons differently
VFM Tankyboi: Sunlight spear+Sunlight bracers/Gloves of the damned+blood fury/Amulet of the monarchs+emperor ring+full Justicar
Does the echo hespori grant farming xp when killed?
V spear loves the fremmy jewelery. It scales 3% dmaage per prayer bonus, so thats 60% damage right there. Add in faceguard and sunfire top and bottom...crazy
Hard to get excited over this without the combat & mastery details out
This kills varlamore as a region for me though, that'll be an impossible echo boss at my level
Same! I had considered V before because I wanted to try colosseum, but now that it’s buffed I don’t think I even wanna try
@danielramin6734 If you are ready for regular collo in the real game, still give it a shot because practice without having to pay death coffer is really good
@ I don’t think I am ready, hence why I wanted to try it in leagues. Haven’t done any raids, so that’s the new content I’m gonna try first
Is it me that noticed we didn't get any staff weapon with the echo bosses?
we have 2 swords, a blowpipe, a spear and a salamander, but no true staff...
Melee salamander with crystal armour perk sounds fun. Maybe throw in the fremmy jewelry.
When using the sunlight spears special attack does each hit give me a sunlight stack? If so it could be used constantly when training combat or in slayer
Fremenick ring/amulet + morytania gloves + Ahrims and desert ancients = absolutely insane magic damage
For the zeah echo, the melee option also being a projectile seems like that could be fun to play with.
Also, wtf frem. Those stats are nuts
Do you believe my Wildy rating now? 😉
Firmly a top 8 region now
@@doubleshine 🤣
wildy gang forever
I was really counting on the echo reward for the wildy to be an attachment/scroll that would allow for the rev weapons to work outside of the wilderness. I cant be sure ofcourse but doubt they will make a relic/masterie a specific region so this might chance my plan to go wildy
Im thinking about the synergy between Devil’s element and Ahrim’s with the amulet of the dead/gloves. 100% elemental weakness+ 50% chance to do 60% more dmg.
It can hit upwards of 106 i think, gearscape website has all the items allready so if you wana theory craft you can see stuff in action there
Honestly the bracers seem like the coolest thing because of how many different things it meshes with.
The Amulet is literally calling my name. Fremmy for the win
Any thoughts on the Torva vs Crystal Armour comparison? Asgarnia skip possible with two handed weapons maybe?
yeh fuck the torva grind even without the crystal buff. Also probably going to be a prayer relic like RP, meaning you wont feel bad for not getting piety (which is comparable to the crystal buff). Just that tiranwynn is a bit lacking in other content. That and hunleff and zulrah dont get much/any benefit from mele relics.
Never thought id say this. But I think I might go to wilderness now.
You have an uncharged blowpipe up for comparison against the desert one. The normal blowpipe has an extra 20 ranged strength that the echo one doesn't have.
genuinely GOATED channel for leagues
love the vids bro, you geeking out is also pretty funny haha
Honestly it was 2x longer, this is with me editing out all the nonsensical excitement noises
I wish they would make the mort gloves count as +1 for all barrows sets. That way i can use dharoks and a scythe lol
yeah that's kinda like the Tirannwn Set of giving the boost to other weapons, I think this is cooler though since it brings mid game weapons up to the level of stuff like scythe instead of just making Scythe even more OP
@ also an underrated part of the Crystal set with the Blessing is that you basically have near BIS melee AND range on a single item switch will probably feel really comfy
i already wanted to go desert, kourend, varlamore. this just solidifies my choices
Note that the blowpipe loses the ranged strenght, so its just really accurate darts. Wich im not sure if its better than something like acb with ruby bolts
I noticed that too, but then on screen the toxic blowpipe he showed didn’t have the range strength and it confused me
@@danielramin6734 i believe thats the uncharged stats, it should have 20 range str
Really want to theory craft but to little information yet I think
they confirmed crystal works with hespori gun when using melee style
Ok with the addition of echo bosses, are you and scritic gonna do an update vid? I'm feeling Mory, Zeah, and Wildly at the moment.
The issue is what are you going to use it on? I just dont think theres enough content with ele weaknesses setup to make this worth getting
@@shaksta4 yeah it is definitely the weakest of the echos i think. It's so niche in it's use compared to the others and just not that good.
Really validating this D/F/Z enjoyer
@@austincavalier1760 tfz gives ferocious gloves and z echo for easy melee infernal. z covers the content/skilling issue as well.
@@livezezian6900 yeah zeah is a really nice area as well. I just have a lot of fun in varlamore and I like the idea of huge dharok bombs this league.
@@austincavalier1760 completely valid 💪
Is Nature’s Respital two handed?
I was going to go VF and then one of M/Z/A. After today, I am going to go VF and one of M/Z/A. I just love me some melee, and honestly the Dogsword is just so hilariously awesome that I might have to go that way. I do have to admit that the idea of going ZAF and just going all tribrid, all the time seems pretty funny with the Hespori weapon, DK jewelry, and void.
I came to all the same conclusions! I had ZAD, but F is just too OP so I leaned into tribrid and went ZAF
I was convinced i'd go mage this time if there's specialty, but man that KQ blowpipe sounds way too cool to miss.
Really dumb question, but I've never done wildy in leagues, when you get pkd do you lose your stuff still?
It's treated as a pvm death, and your grave marker will basicly be next to you when you respawn
@revraptor8 does the pker receive any loot when the other player dies?
The Sunlight Spear seems to have a diferent icon for the special attack (Top-right of the stat box), similar to how Soul Reaper gets its own icon.
Compare that to the Thunder Kopesh which has the standard spec icon ni the same spot. So I assume the Sunlight Spear has a spec that can be used, and then still have 100 regular spec left
Scritic definitely did great with the video but I’d like to see you with a leagues reveal through Jagex this year
Dogsword is insanely OP, you get SGS and ancient GS heals + freeze + ags accuracy + bgs defense drain.
Asgarnia has become a must pick for me, i need the dogsword!!
Saaaaame.... Want ranged but I don't like TOA so desert feels like a waste :/. Need help... Really like TOB but don't care for the mory echo.... :/
It's funny that way, I really wished I could distribute more power to my off-styles last leagues. This leagues I was ready to go all in on one, and we might be able to through masteries, but it'll definitely be more of a process, if possible at all.
Im sure one of the teasets will go into combat mastery stuff
Super salamander hits as hard as a fang, almost as hard as a bowfa, but with more accuracy, and harder than a trident of the swamp
I think it's not necessarily something that you pick around, but Zeah is already so strong that it just complements and gives it this multipurpose tool. Really love the idea though and I can't wait to try it out (if i go zeah)
@doubleshine no doubt, but it makes the entry to COX way sooner than you'd expect it to be.
Yes it's so so important for CoX and ToA, every mage weapon is very bad until shadow
Hespori Trumpet, my beloved
