- We visit with Patrick, owner of the Mystic Forest RV Park in Klamath, California. He talks about why his family moved from Los Angeles and the benefits of living out of the city and into the Redwood National Forest.
The Mystic Forest RV Park is a great location to make yourself a base camp in which you could explore the Redwood Forest from. Just 2 minutes north on HWY 101 are the Trees of Mystery. A great stop for the family to check out the redwoods by walking the trails, walking suspension bridges between treetops and riding the gondola above the treetops.
Another 20 minutes north on HWY 101 is Crescent City. There you can visit breweries, a lighthouse and walk the rocky coastline.
Fern Canyon and Gold Bluffs Beach is an hour's drive south from the Mystic Forest RV Park and is a great place to hangout for the day.
So much to do in the area and a great place to stay and relax while visiting, be sure to book you stay at the Mystic Forst RV Park.

What a great story! Loved the guy's laugh & storytelling! It is a beautiful campground and glad it went into their hands & not turned into a motel or mobile home park! The lighting tree was so cool too! Nice they have their RV for rent too!
Thank you for the wonderful response it means a great deal coming from you. We struggled if we should just have a small amount of this in our last video or share these great stories. We really went to say goodbye and talk a few minutes but instead he shared so much with us and this is why we love Rving and meeting people. I totally agree and can relate to an office job being hard on the body. I love talking with people about their stories and how they got started. He seemed like a happy man. Yes we really enjoyed this trip it was a tough decision with the little time we had if to drive further south to some of the places you have shared with us but we will get them done hopefully next year but I am glad we spent a couple days in this area we really loved it! Very cool video! He had such great stories. Thank you for sharing ! My parents danced with the idea of having an RV park on their property 35 years ago. It is a lot of work and they had other activities that they ended up enjoying instead.
Being out in nature on a normal "wake, activity, sleep" schedule is much more healthy than a 2nd or 3rd shift job and finding sleep when you can. We sleep much better when camping.

Fantastic story - thanks for sharing! We stayed at the park about 4 years ago and just fell in love with the property during our 5 days. The new owners seem so energetic and optimistic I'm sure they will do great things with it. Great to hear the stories behind the scenes - that couple must have been quite surprised! That is a great coincidence we did enjoy our stay here and we would go back. We loved our spot and only about 3 others spots like ours so book ahead of time if you want that. Patrick is great and you can see how much they love it we will stay here again one day and we liked the location to everything. We picked it for the location to everything we wanted to see and we went during the off season so had the place almost to ourselves it was a very nice visit and absolutely we will pass all the info onto you and you will love Patrick.
