i legit cant believe it, from a well known person from screaming and now being a really good chess player

I hope chess also helped him in his behavior. He was known to be kinda toxic in the LoL community. I don't know if that's true, but maybe chess helped him out.

@@WhatTheForkChesshe is toxic in LoL for sure, but nobody can deny his grind. He once become a challenger (top 0.02% position) for every position in League in one season. This guy probably doing 16 hours a day grinding League when he was at his peak.

You’re not gonna do this unless you play 5-6 hours a day, doing puzzles, listening and watching the lessons, playing games and practicing.

you forget one thing and practising the right strategies and tbh you dont have to play for hours you can just do three games a day and learn new things on each game you do

Tyler 1 is crazy because he is a grinder, he spent at least 16 hours a day for chess. But you don't need to do it like him, what the guy talking about is just to become consistent in your training and study. Two or three years of doing consistent chess will bring you there if you're lucky and serious.

There will be no match for him if he keeps up the good work. Thx for the comment :)

Idk if it's possible for him but If he takes chess seriously and becomes professional then I fully support him 🙏

I remember when he was 1400ish Hikaru said he should quit chess and go back to streaming LoL because he would probably be stuck in that level, and now he's 1800. Although it's still a long way to become a pro, I'd rather not doubt this guy's willpower 😁😂

@@WhatTheForkChess Yeah, I love Naka, but I critisized him for saying that so much on Twitter.

Also, he's 30 years old. So, he isn't a "kid" like most people think you got to be in order to improve drastically. I went from 900 to 2000 in 9 months as an 26-year-old as well. It's very plausible for anyone. I did it on Blitz though (3-2)!

Yeah, that's right. I'm 32 and actually started grinding rating when I was 29-30. It's certainly possible to anyone

He's a profesional streamer. He dedicated at least 40 hours per week to chess. For me it would take like 10 years to have 5 thousand rapid games played.

He's certainly a natural, but this doesn't mean that there isn't a lot of hard work involved. Tyler seems to be extremely disciplined in his studies on chess. The rating is well deserved.
