My husband, Mark and I, invited Mr. Tiny to do this segment. We felt blessed that we survived when so many others around us lost everything. We have since repaired the damage and took the opportunity to update, thanks to some amazing contractors. Lake Ray Roberts RV Park staff has worked extremely hard. Even though there is work to be done, it is going to be better than ever. Our goal was to help share with others the safety features. Mr. Tiny answered all of our questions when he visited and has been a true friend. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers for our community.
Thank you very much for letting Mike showcase what happened or better, what DID NOT happen, during the tornado. May GOD bless you and help you and your community with complete recovery and rebuilding. 🙏🏻
Thank you for allowing him to come out. We bought our tiny home from Mike that same weekend. After we saw the news, we pointed out that we saw a standing tiny home and asked Mike if it was one of his. He said as a matter of fact, it was! We just got ours delivered a month ago!
I am so sorry for everything you guys are dealing with! Praise God you are all safe! I am praying that all your neighbors, as well as you and your hubby are able to repair and rebuild quickly! Blessings to you!
Wow!! I am very impressed that the tiny home held up so well. Those hurricane straps really did their job. Prayers to everyone who lost their homes or were injured during the tornado! Thank you to the Peterson's and you Mr. Tiny for a glimpse into the real life of living in a tiny home.
Indeed! I live in Florida and have been hit by five Cat 2 Hurricanes in my traditional concrete block foundation built home…no problems aside from losing trees and power…there is a mobile home park nearby. Those homes with the hurricane straps do just fine…maybe lose a carport…but that’s it. Those WITHOUT the straps are mostly destroyed. It’s incredible to see the difference the hurricane straps and a well constructed home (like the one featured by Mr. Tiny) can do in a terrible storm. And btw…I’ll take a hurricane anytime over a Tornado! We are able to evacuate ahead of the storm…tornadoes are freaking t terrifying with little warning.
This is the 2nd time I've seen major tornado damage, and the only things left standing were the tiny homes. I'm sorry all the home owners there are going through this. Thanks to the Peterson's for letting us see how their home made it through an F3 tornado.
Texas weather can be brutal. I’m so glad the Peterson’s shared their success. I’ll join my prayers with others for the community at large & for a quick turnaround for the displaced people. Thank you Mike, for respecting this situation and understanding why it it’s important to document it. I’m sure it will help everyone involved. God bless you all. ❤
Thank you! This is a huge testament to WHY to choose a WELL BUILT home like yours AND pay the small price to install the hurricane straps. Impressive! The decking is in fantastic shape as well. What a visual! Thank you for all you do!
Prayers for all of those in Sanger TX. May the Holy Spirit provide protection and comfort. Ty Mr Tiny for making a quality product right here in the U.S.A.!!!!
I wish tiny home builders (seems like everywhere in each state) help affected families in their community by letting a roof above those who have lost the roof they used to have. Temporary or a opportunity for ownership for those who lost material. Please remind yourselves that we loose everything when we become someone's memory. Loss of life is everything. Possession isn't a cry to shed. Automatic replaced. Cry for souls who will now be a memory. On same token...to keep them alive are the memories of them. Those who are not remembered can not survive. Hold on to Memories by Disturbed is a song I quote from. Lyrics are hard but worth of truth is there
This is why I am so vested in RCC. Just waiting until I can afford it. Prayers to the Petersons and all affected by this storm. And blessings to you, Mr. Tiny….for your honesty and your integrity in showing all of us a wonderful, sturdy, well built and safe home. #RRCForTheWin
I love this video. I watch alot of your videos, but I particularly loved how compassionate you were in this video (not bashing RV owners, etc.) You gave great information, too. I have always wondered about the safety of these while living in Texas where there are more tornadoes.
Thanks, Mr Tiny for showcasing this home. This would be something to compare with other companies to see if their homes arcana match the quality of these tiny homes. Please thank the homeowners for sharing their unfortunate, yet informative, experience. Nothing compares to seeing reality.
Thank God the Peterson’s are okay and did not encounter much home damage. Mr. Tiny when the time is right I’m coming to you and RRC, you guys was telling the truth about your product. Will keep the others in prayer.
Prayers to all affected by this tornado. And a huge Thank You to the Peterson’s for allowing us to see this. I do have to say - My Goodness! I’m so impressed. I got chills while watching this. I knew these Tiny Homes were amazing, I just didn’t know how Amazing they truly are. Congratulations Mr. Tiny for representing such a fine organization that produces this high a quality of homes. Something to be very proud of. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽✨🙏🏽🥰
I did a LOT of research & found Recreational RV Resorts to be superior! This is what I would by over any other mobile home! So sorry for all the damage, but happy to see this upstanding RV! TYTY for sharing! ❤️❤️🙏❤️❤️
Very impressive. I am so happy the Peterson's didn't lose their home. Prayers for everyone else in that community and hope they purchase a park model from you.
God bless the Petersons and thank them for sharing this information. Prayers for that rv and marina hope they will recover soon. God bless all those RV owners.
Thank you for sharing this info and video. I live in South Louisiana. I was happy to hear about the hurricane straps. This is encouraging to want my dream house, which is owning a tiny house one to retire in. Once again thank you to the family for sharing and allowing you to show and inform future customers ❤
Yes, they got very lucky, but as most of us who have experienced a tornado or 4 know that these tornados have a wind of their own and can knock out every other home in a neighborhood. I know because it happened to me and my family where our house was untouched and the one next to us was demolished to the ground! So yes, luck and a well-built home like RRC is a blessing indeed! Thank you to you and the Petersons for allowing us to see the quality of your homes! Fantastic video, Mr. Tiny👏
God be with all those effected by this storm. That's awesome that this tiny home withstood that storm. Thank you, Mr. And Mrs. Peterson for allowing Mr Tiny to showcase your home 🏡
thanks for sharing this, I am going to share it out, praying the RV owners all get your tiny homes quickly and insurance brings the payouts quickly fo them all
Wow!!! My prayers to all of those people who have had to endure such trauma in losing their homes! Amazing testament to RRC & the quality of homes they are selling! I am a true fan & live in North TX! I plan to buy a park model platinum cottage from RRC!
My heart goes out to all those affected. With all that damage, there had to have been fatalities 💔 I hope I’m wrong 🙏🏼 Happy for the Peterson’s good fortune
Thoughts and prayers to those affected. Safety of human lives is what’s important here. It is a long standing question if rvs, mobile homes, manufactured homes, etc. could hold up to tornados, earthquakes, etc. So, this was a good thing to see.
First, prayers to all. I've experienced displacement and destruction of a home and appreciate this episode. Hoping it may help to decrease the myth, fears and anxiety of living in a tiny home. Insurance really helps -- having more than you think you need to rebuild, make purchases, and "placement" terms do you have a place to stay while figuring out future living needs.
My thoughts prayers positive vibes and need blessings I'm telepathically sending to anyone who needs this!! You are strong. You've been through so mant different storms you've been through thus far is the prepared for future storms a C'mon we all face STAY STRONG KEEP believing.
Mr, Tiny is Correct! I Love RV's but for full time living a manufactured or Tiny Home is much Safer even the state of Michigan where I live Michihan requires Hurricane force strength tiedowns !👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😊😊🙏🙏🙏 prayers going out for that Community 🙏
I've always wanted a fixed tiny because I don't plan on driving...as an Oklahoman I've always planned a tornado shelter...it's just what I'm used to--I probally will have a golf cart though👏🏽
Many tiny homes also have those hooks on the trailers to tie town the homes. I wonder if there was any warning of tornadoes. And seeing that restaurant that the Petersons and others have huddled in the freezer, it amazes me that they survived that tornado. I have seen the movie Twisters, and it can be like being in a real tornado. Their house will need some work but compared to the RV's and boats and other structures, they didn't have as much damage, some cosmetic work, windows to be replaced. I would want to take it west of the Rockies where they don't have tornadoes on a regular basis.
PLEASE, relocate to Tennessee! At least look into it because TN is very open to this, and you guys seem to have the best models and prices. I would like one of your large homes, but many communities up here want you to buy their homes and pay rent. I want a quarter acre of my own. I don’t want to fix up, landscape my lot AND pay rent.
For a true comparison, you need to tie down the rv. You can’t compare a tied down vehicle to not tied down and chalk it all up to the quality. Not doubting the difference in quality just would like to see an apples to apples comparison.
Summary of the long and pushy video: * Build your home to code as best as possible * Don't cut corners * Strap it down Everything else here is fluff. The main weaknesses in tiny homes, mobile homes, and the like are a mix of the structure itself, how it's strapped down, and how it's connected to the frame. The broad side of a full size mobile home is a lot of surface area to catch wind. This is why they tend to get so damaged in such light winds. They're just not built good enough. Any time you see the top of a trailer gone with the frame left, that's due to the connection of the trailer to the frame. Anytime you see a trailer flipped on it's side, it's because it wasn't strapped down or wasn't strapped down properly. You have to cover all the factors and bases. You can buy the most well built trailer out there but if you neglect to strap it down, a gust of wind from a small thunderstorm could blow it over on its side.
You need it to put a disclaimer, not typical, because people are going to start buying these to stand up the tornadoes, and you're going to get sued, when they don't, my prayers for all that were in harms way!!!
Not sure how I feel about trying to market a tiny home in the midst of tragedy. Using the misfortune of others as a means to sell your product is seriously bad taste. I like this company & what they but you gotta do better than this. Prayers for the victims that lost their homes, livelihood and family.
That was my feeling. Plus, I have been in a house in a neighborhood where ours wasn't touched, but everyone else's was severely damaged. Tornado just are unpredictable. I hope they really are built as solid as they look and not just that the Petersons were blessed and lucky.
I was actually in that green tiny home on that very night. My sister rushed me to the restaurant walk in freezer. Before we came out, the owner (Bill Williams) warned us to be prepared for what we might see. My high end RV was totaled. The rest looked like a bomb had exploded. All of these RV’s had real family’s, pets and people that lived there. Most full timers. My heart was broken for them. They along with myself will build again and we will do a tiny house with 3 hurricane straps. Mr. Tiny didn’t need to show case anything for sales. I saw the proof myself.
I feel saddened for the losses for these people but perhaps your video could have shown greater sensitivity? The presentation came across somewhat crass

It's obvious it's still standing due to the direction and path the tornado took, not construction.
Wow!! I am very impressed that the tiny home held up so well. Those hurricane straps really did their job. Prayers to everyone who lost their homes or were injured during the tornado! Thank you to the Peterson's and you Mr. Tiny for a glimpse into the real life of living in a tiny home.

Best tiny home video yet!
Thanks for showing the safety angle.
I love this video. I watch alot of your videos, but I particularly loved how compassionate you were in this video (not bashing RV owners, etc.) You gave great information, too. I have always wondered about the safety of these while living in Texas where there are more tornadoes.
Thoughts and prayers go to the Peterson's and for those who were affected by the tornado. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

This is a testament. RRC is officially doing the Lord's work. Much, much love to the Petersens and their neighbors in Sanger.
Mr. Tiny, I am impressed!!!!!!! Quality is as quality does.
Wow! Amazing story and testament to the premium quality!
Prayers to the Petersons and the people of Sanger, TX. Great to know the park model's hold up to some bad weather.

Prayers for all in the small TX town. This has been one of my major questions how they hold,up. Thank you for showing us.
This was such an important video. This is exactly what my concern was about these tiny homes. Mr Tiny you will be hearing from me.
Totally Totally Impressed, you've proved your point. Prayers to those who've lost their homes. Prayers to the Pettersons as well.
God bless the Petersons and thank them for sharing this information. Prayers for that rv and marina hope they will recover soon. God bless all those RV owners.
Thank you for sharing this info and video. I live in South Louisiana. I was happy to hear about the hurricane straps. 😮You going Viral, baby!😂😅🎉❤
Thank you Mike for tackling this question that so many have and answering with a reassuring show and tell. Godspeed. 🙏🏻
Great video one of a kind!
Thank you for show casing the safety of the Park Model.
Good work Mr. Tiny! Risk assessment has always been one of my under lying questions. 😊
Thank you for this episode! Great testimonial to the quality of your homes!
Very impressive for your homes. Thanks for showing the strength & durability!

It seems to me that the excellent tie down is really what saved the day. Although RRC does have a lot of high quality features I love regardless.
Those 3 out houses/porta-potties behind him survived also...
Amazing. Thanks for doing this video
Very good quality home!
This is great! I have wondered how one of your units would do in a hurricane.
Good to see this RRC home still intact. I see a few RVs intacts as well.
Wow! Proud of your homes!
Wow Thanks for sharing this!
Good job RRE and Mr. Tiny!!
Wow, this was an eye opener. Tornados are so destructive.
Thanks , Petersons. Good luck.

Wow! That is something!
I'm sorry this happened to all those ppl, but I have always wondering how they fair in weather conditions. I'm glad to see they hold up.
Definitely a head scratcher!
Thank you
That's amazing 🤩

Wait a minute ... is that a UFO at 6:49 swooping by above you?
Amazing showing how well the tiny house holds 💚
I am glad you are safe.
Glad the park model stood up to such a strlng slap from nature.
Thinking of all the people and creatures affected.
Stay safe everyone!!!!!!
U need tooooo stay safe boo‼️‼️💯💯❤️🔥❤️🔥🫵🏽

Do you deliver to Ohio and set up?
🙏
But with RV's you could move it if you needed to if you were warned ahead of time, but I wouldn't know bcuz I don't live where there's tornadoes.
What year is this? Anybody?
See transcript time timestamp at 6:29 and 15:39. Mr. T states when the hurricane happened , May 25 of 2024 and the park model was purchased in 2017.

That whole intro was awfully upbeat.
