Historically speaking, poliomyelitis was a disease associated with certain kinds of paralysis. At what point did evidence show poliomyelitis was a contagious disease, to the exclusion of other potential causes, and what was the soundness of that evidence?

Accad and Nemesis are asking great questions, pushing against the established historic narrative. About going back to 1916 to find out what Rockefeller Institute was working on - could there be some archives that could be re-opened? It's been over 75 years, so, surely we should be allowed to see them now.

Only listened half way so far but a great debate! 👍👍👍 Brian Mowrey on Substack has an interesting take on polio amongst other things, I'm sure he'd be a great guest for the podcast.

Major false equivalence here.. Koka says that lying to the populace might be justified to achieve some "public health" goal, and that Accad does something akin to this in his private practice when he makes treatment recommendations to patients without laying out all the possibilities and data. This is *not* actually the same. He neither accuses Accad of _lying_, nor did Accad admit to the same. It is one thing to say "please trust my professional judgement, that is why you are paying me"; it is quite another to say "this will help you" when it won't (which _is_ what Koka is advocating, lying to people so _they_ take a risk to potentially help others).
The consequences of this class of lying are being seen now, where the CDC, FDA, and related groups have been caught lying enough times that anyone paying attention will, by default, assume any statement they make _now_ is a lie. That's before you touch on the moral issues in lying to clients.

Agree, Koka is completely wrong. There's no comparison between a doctor-patient relationship based on personal trust, reputation, individual choice and a sweeping bureaucratic policy guided by anything but interests of individual patients.

interesting conversation. Thank you for at least questioning the covid narrative.
