I discovered this amazing song by fluke by getting free audience tickets for the Carson Daly show back in 2011 whilst on holiday in the states. Amazing.
Having been 'broken in two" by someone nearly 25 years ago, this song is such a beautiful kick in the gut -- it captures the pain, perfectly. And it still hurts. It always will.
You just have to see her You just have to see her You just have to see her You just have to see her You just have to fucking SEE HER, YOU KNOW THAT SHE'LL BREAK YOU IN TWO. 14 years. 14 fucking years and it still hurts.. 14 years and the world is still falling around me. 14 fucking years and I'm still broken. I don't even know why the fuck am I still alive 🙂.
We all have a song that reminds us of THAT person that correlates with a song. This song is so fucking good and hits so hard to this day. Such a great song; the build up is 2nd to none. The story telling is A+ and surreal. It's so perfect of encapsulating a moment in all of our lives that we can relate to. In short, and absafuckinglutly fantastic song! Turn it up and cry if you need to!!!!
From time to time a song will come along that speaks to a time in your life. When this song came out my son was going through a break up at college. This song captures his pain. I don't think he ever really got over the girl. When I hear this song it takes me back and i feel a little of the emotion that overwhelmed me at the time. As a parent, seeing your child in pain, is devastating.
I was blindsided by my girlfriend of 5 years when I was 22 and ended up meeting the most amazing person I have ever met in my life. I hope to marry her someday. I promise your son it gets better
On the album he does the rasp-yell-rock voice, but live he hits almost a falsetto on that note. I think he's sparing his vocal cords since that's a highlight of every set they play. I wish they would put out an album and go on tour again though.
So underrated band, they deserve a recognition at the level of The Killers, Coldplay, Keane, etc. What a beatiful song, and they have a lot more. Keep it playing Airborne, you were my top artist in Spotify this 2022. Best wishes from South America.
There is something quite amazing about this video. The frontman (songwriter/guitarist) is a Niagara of emotion, his face perspiring and gushing with emotion, even before the song reaches the Crescendo. My God, epic.
I speak through to goosebumps. I am a music person, a lyrics person, a poet, and lyricist. this song spoke to me in it's first words. I've lived it, sadly.
I heard this song and was forever a fan of this amazing so underrated band. These artists and musicians are some of the best I’ve seen. I especially dig the bass player who is an established musician in the L A area. Love this song and also Glory....Wow
For many many years now this has been my single tune to go to express in Music what it feels like to see am Ex after a break up, out for the 1st time. And they are moving on. Or at least they are making sure you think so. Nothing I've hear outside of maybe "Creep", captures how you feel in that moment. I've been a die hard fan ever since I 1st heard it. They have a lot of others as well. Numb would be my 2nd fav of theirs. Amazing band! With amazing band members. I hope they go very far and bring back the music And class we have lost in a Hoppity Hop world.
I seriously love this band. Came across them only 4 weeks back to my eternal shame and now, having listened to all their back catalogue etc I can seriously swear that iv'e heard nothing like them for decades.
Welcome to the club! I did discover them about 8 years ago with this song. It was one of those things where I was driving and the song came on the radio almost when I made it to my destination and I had to sit in my van and finish the song before getting out. I was mesmerized!
Imagine being at this show though.... the pitch may have been off near the end but it's still a very raw emotional version to experience it must have been wild
What an emotional roller coaster. It's such an Absafuckinglutly fantastic song from the 1st time i heard it so many years ago. I can feel the emotions, the build up , the pain. I know exactly who it is in my life that this song rings true to.
This song is so much more than amazing and I feel blessed that I can experience it. It’s been so many years now but I’m still not over the woman who broke me in two
Seen them live supporting razorlight in Manchester a few years ago and they were absolutely fantastic. If you get a chance to see them live you won't be disappointed!!!
Only just found this band and just watched this for the first time. It gave me a beautiful 'flashback' and i'm crying now. I think these guys are mystical. D.xx
Seen them live when they supported razorlight many moons ago and I have to say they we're amazing ,if you get the chance to see an excellent live band jump to it and you wont be disappointed.
This song still gives me chills. It takes me back to the first year of my wife & I together. The immense love & total destruction of all my walls I had built from years of hurt. 11 years & feeling that those days are long gone, along with the love she had for me, because life happens. I’ll always be thankful for those 11 years & know that if I see her in 11 years - she & this song will still hit me just as hard. Maybe I’ll still be around then….or maybe I’ll be a ghost.
This song has a dash of the 80's in it for me. I'm thinking of a really cool soundtrack for a movie, with Molly Ringwold in the cast. I like it, I like it, alot.
There are two types of people in this world: those who have had the blessing of discovering this song, and everyone else.
I discovered this amazing song by fluke by getting free audience tickets for the Carson Daly show back in 2011 whilst on holiday in the states. Amazing.
One of my top 10 favorite songs since ‘08, year I graduated high school.
It hurts soooooo good
TRUE !!
Read his book, thank me later
I love how this song builds and builds.
Having been 'broken in two" by someone nearly 25 years ago, this song is such a beautiful kick in the gut -- it captures the pain, perfectly. And it still hurts.
It always will.
I understand totally. For me it was 14 years ago, I’m now married (to someone else) and have a child but try as I might I can’t forget her!!
I'm glad he came back to you
We've all been there. Live. Grow. Great song.
You just have to see her
You just have to see her
You just have to see her
You just have to see her

My condolences to your son.
You're so right. You want so badly to take that pain away from them. You just can't though, and it is really hard to accept. ❤
I was blindsided by my girlfriend of 5 years when I was 22 and ended up meeting the most amazing person I have ever met in my life. I hope to marry her someday. I promise your son it gets better
This song is a masterpiece. I would've loved to hear him scream "then you WAAAALK, UNDER A STREETLIGHT"
Scarecrow 2710
It really does need that scream. We know he can do it.
ugh, just started it, he doesnt? thank you
Are there any live videos where he does it?
I came here to hear that too!

My daughter once told me she wished she could hear this song for the first time again.
I was wandering around the satellite channels one night and saw this video. The next day, I went to a record store and bought the album.
A minute of silence for all of those who haven't listened to this song,
Saw these twice over 10 years ago and this song is an experience alive :( we’ve all been that girl
One of the best builds in any song ever!
So underrated band, they deserve a recognition at the level of The Killers, Coldplay, Keane, etc. What a beatiful song, and they have a lot more. Keep it playing Airborne, you were my top artist in Spotify this 2022. Best wishes from South America.
Bruh been listening to them since they opened at lollapalooza for the last 10 years. Glad they are reaching the audience. I miss Anna 😪
This song has so much meaning for me. She’s all mine again after 25 years!
C R, Really, what’s her name?
Congrats! I hope you guys are still going strong and are staying healthy and safe during the pandemic.
this one smacked me, congrats man, hope it all works out for the best
Tania

Couldn’t have said it better 👍🏽
as if he was the one who actually felt those feelings in that bar...he is living it each time he sings this song that's for sure. masterpiece.
One of the very few songs that quiets people down and takes the them to a complete amaze..
I speak through to goosebumps.
I am a music person, a lyrics person, a poet, and lyricist. this song spoke to me in it's first words. I've lived it, sadly.
Songwriting PERFECTION in every damn way
This song is so beautifully painted..
This was the opening g night band at the Raindance Film Festival in 2013 and completely blew everyone away in London at Café de Paris
I heard this song and was forever a fan of this amazing so underrated band. These artists and musicians are some of the best I’ve seen. I especially dig the bass player who is an established musician in the L A area.

How can a song lasting 5 minutes and 41 seconds feel like it lasts for a minute? Time relativity, beautiful and amazing things don't seem to last....
Been looking for this for 10 years.
An extremely underrated piece of music, a very emotional song and hard to play live, they smashed it.
This song genuinely and absolutely and honestly gets better every single time I listen to it- and I have listened to it many, many times.
Hands down one of the best songs ever written and performed.
"you just have to see her" i felt that emotion damn
The way they all jumped back as if electrocuted when he says ‘look like you’ve seen a ghost’ BAMMMM !!!
I could watch her for hours she’s such a beauty
Looks like he feels this song and the emotions that come with it.
I MISS THESE GUYS :/
They’re back!
This performance is unforgettable. Such emotion. He gives me chills.
One of the most underrated bands. The crescendo up to 3:50 mark and Steven's guitar gives me goosebumps every time I see this performance.
This song has been out forever... over 10 years now... geez guys... However, I'm thrilled fans are discovering them yet.
This is such a great song, I love the official video too and my radio station plays this song all the time.💜
I like this song because it actually tells a story as painful as excruciatingly painful though it is.
My favorite song to listen to when I fell the need to be reduced to tears and agony

Probably the best version of this song. Love.

The song is about an actual event that happened to Mikel Jollett . The band where there. They saw it happen. You can see the emotion in all of them.

Wow 😯 awesome
Some parts remind me a little bit of "Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels)".
