Thanks for this lovely video, Bex. In Italy we put the flowers in water and let it sit outside to collect the dew overnight. We use the water to wash our hands and faces to purify ourselves and attract luck, love and health. Usually the flowers are hypericum, lavender, mallow, mugwort, sage, rosemary, mint, but also chamomile, roses, poppies and cornflower. Happy harvest!!
Oh I love this!! Thank you so much for sharing 🙂 here we have the custom about the dew too - but not on collected flowers. Another tradition here is the Johannibad, where you swim in a lake at night for the same purpose 😄
I wash my face with morning dew collected on my huge lady's mantle plant. I'll be holding sacred space in the forest and decorate my outdoor altar with gifts from the garden. blessed be!

I'm a beginner witch and I just found this video and wanted to ask if the wheel of the year is a Wiccan thing only? Like there's no real information on the internet, everyone says something different but I thought it's a pagan way of living and Wiccans and witches who aren't Wiccan are also under the pagan umbrella term. I actually wanted to start celebrating the feasts but I keep getting confused and or unsure about it because I am not Wiccan and I don't intend to be, so what do I do?
Absolutely! They are riddled with all kinds of creepy crawlies - especially tics are bad as we are a red zone for TBE. Mmmh, poppy seed cake! Well, this year I’m planning on baking… something (possibly lemon lavender cookies) and we bought one of those Feuerkorb things for the patio. I really like the idea of the herb bundle, it’s as good an excuse as any to visit the fields behind my house. If it ever falls below ‘hotter than hell’ again. Litha has never been an easy holiday for me because, unlike 99% of my fellow Germans, I can’t stand hot weather. And that despite me being a fire sign, hoho. We’re also in southern Germany but a bit north of you, in Swabia. Btw, now that Ella’s book is out, when is yours coming? 😉 Blessed Litha to you and your family
I celebrated this Solstice by attending a Tribal Stomp Dance. Then went to a non-Tribal drum circle the following day. I had never been to a Stomp before. Kind of gave me ideas for my Coven's Circles since half of the members wouldn't be allowed to attend since they aren't from my Tribe. Nothing like stupid politics considering the 3 in question married into my family and my nephew's , their wives , and my husband are who we are. So stupid politics at play. Guess I won't be going back anytime soon.
Happy Solstice Bex! Beautiful video. I loved the recipe! Do you have the ingredients listed anywhere? 🙏 Also where was the Litha ritual kit from again - do you have a link if poss? I literally love baking bread too - I made some pitta breads and strawberry shortcake for my UA-cam video for the Solstice. I want to make a plaited sun loaf 🌞for Lughnasadh. We live in Bavaria, too! We moved here in 2021 from the US. Quick question: Can you please adopt me? I’d settle for friendship though!☺️
Hahaha that is awesome though! Where in Bavaria do you live?
What do I do if I missed it? Can I still do my practice?
Absolutely! It is celebrating a whole season :)
Does anyone know the name of the flower at 12:20?
The purple flower? Looks like a type of vetch to me. 😌
It is indeed a species' of vetch. We call it 'birds vetch'
Hello, would be possible to add the recipe for the Poppyseed Sun cake? Thank You.
Happy Litha!
I just added a link to the recipe as this isn't my own recipe this time ☺️ have a beautiful solstice!

☀️✨☺️🔥💛
Where is the recipe?
It's linked in the description box :)
That sounds so intriguing! Would love to experience this one day. I am glad you got inspired by it for your own way of living and practicing 💛
Have a wonderful Solstice xx
And to you!! ☀️✨💛 I totally forgot to include the recipe - will do so now! My friend Annie (kitchen_moth on Insta) made it especially for all the attendees of the retreat as a little surprise. I think she also posted about it on Instagram:) oooooh I have to watch your video!! Love strawberry shortcake 🤤
Ashes on a feild is science and fertilizer. PotAsh is needed for a abundant harvest. Our ancestors new more then you think. We farmers who are follow regenerative Animist practices know this.
Indeed ☺️

And to you ☺️☀️💛
I am really happy I found your channel. Much love
☺️💛 Welcome to the channel!
I believe your instagram account is hacked:(
It's not - but be careful as there are often scam accounts being created that will have a very similar screen name and steal my pictures. If you can, please send me a screenshot of the scam account (especially if they send you a message). You will find my real Insta account through the link in the video description 💕
Love the pkg you got. Does she have a UA-cam channel?❤️🇩🇪❤️
Unfortunately no. She is called kitchen_moth on Instagram and shares some stuff there though!
"much like a shibari workshop" 🤣
😁🤪
Love all of your videos so much!! Could you please give me the link for the beautiful gold jewelry you are wearing? I remember you talking about it in previous videos, but I can't find it, thank you so much! Happy Summer Solstice 💗🌞🍓
OMG baby! So cute!
Hihi thank you
Thank you for this informative video. I really like that idea of 9 times 3 for being grateful. I hate summer, because I live in a desert and I have no joy to walk around or for any herbs to find. How ever, I will treat my friends Donkeys with some apples. The chickens with some oats to make them and myself feel happy.
🔥🥵 the dessert in summer must be though to deal with! But that sounds like a lovely wholesome plan with the donkey and chickens ☺️💛
Thank you for this video! Happiest solstice to you. I uploaded a little litha vlog if you would like to check it out✨
OOooh Yaih! Will check that out with my morning coffee later on ☺️👏👏👏 have a magical solstice ☀️
@@Thewitchescookery thank you 🥰
