      grmb79s, Thanks for watching and your question. The drink holder is a cheap one from China that I bought on eBay. Search eBay for motorcycle drink holder and you will see many, some with two screws mounting the clamp to the drink holder, some with one screw. All are inexpensive and of poor quality, less than $10 each, and you might have to use better hardware, put friction tape on the handlebars, or grind material off of the clamps so they grab better. I can't recommend any of them as they are all bad, but with modification, they all work. I have perhaps 10 of them and have one on about half of my motorcycles. I think the one in this video is one of the single bolt ones. What you need to look out for is that the drink holder itself should mount close to the bottom of the holder. If the screw mounting the holder to the clamp is high up on the holder, the bottom of the holder will foul in the Navi body when you turn the handlebars.

    Great video, Very wholesome! I also have a navi which I bought in the ranger green, but I really wanted the nut brown color. The only colors that were available in my area were grasshopper and ranger green. Now that I've seen this I think I'm going to try to get the nut brown on order and swap some stuff around. Thanks for the video!

    • @Vintage_Garage

      JoBles360, Thanks for watching the video and your comment, much appreciated. When the Navi was first announced, Nut Brown was my favorite color, and so I went to the dealer and bought one the same day. At the same time, I ordered two accessory windshields, two accessory rear racks, and two accessory graphics kits at the parts counter at the dealership. All the parts were on backorder when I put in the order, but over the next month they showed up.
      The first and only box of two Navis arrived at the dealership 3 months later, and they were Grasshopper with no more expected to arrive this year, so I took the first Grasshopper. At the same time, I ordered a set of Ranger Green body panels, a set of Red body panels, and a set of Nut Brown body panels, and two pairs of mirrors, and a complete spare lockset consisting of the 5 locks and two keys, and a new seat at the parts counter at the dealership. Each body panel set was about $45, mirrors are less than $5 each, and the complete lockset was under $20, and the seat was less than $30. All the parts were on backorder when I put in the order, and over the past 3 months they have gradually began to show up. I still don't have the Nut Brown side panels, and none of the three Red panels.
      A month later, the second Grasshopper was still sitting on the showroom floor, and my neighbor "Lightfoot" was enjoying riding the first Navi so much, that I gave her that one with the X Icon graphics kit installed, and bought the second one for myself. The second one is the one I made into the Ranger Green with Urban Camo graphics kit. All of the rest of the parts I ordered the when the first Navi arrived have gradually come in, with the exception of the two Nut Brown side panels, and the three Red panels.
      The Navis seem to have been shipped in waves. The first wave was the largest by far, and was Grasshopper. Then there was a trickle of Red, Ranger, and now lately a very few Nut Brown. I don't know, but I assume that they represent assembly runs at the Mexico assembly plant. All of the parts I order at the parts counter arrive with Honda parts stickers on them that say "Made in India". I do not know if the single parts pass through Mexican warehouses before coming to the US, or if they come straight from India to the US.
      A year ago, the press in India was abuzz with the news that 5,000 Navi CKDs (Complete Knockdown Kits) were being sent to Mexico for assembly and to be sold in the US, Mexico, South America and other markets. I have been unable to find out what happens after those 5,000 kits have been assembled and sold. I do not know if production has stopped in India, or if they are building more CKDs to be sent out. Honda USA is mute on the subject.
      My advice would be to go to your Honda dealer and order a set of Nut Brown panels today. The three parts should cost you less than $50, and if you want them, you should get your dibs in. There is no telling how many will be available and if more will be made after the current stock is depleted. As I said, all I have so far is the Nut Brown headlight cover. I am still waiting on the Nut Brown side panels to arrive.
      Again, thanks for watching the video and your comment, much appreciated.

      Duane, Thanks for watching my video and your comment, much appreciated. When the Navi was first announced, my favorite color was Nut Brown, and my least favorite color was Grasshopper Green. I bought one the first day of the announcement and said I wanted Nut Brown. Unfortunately, the first and only box of Navis to arrive at my dealer two months later, was a box of Grasshoppers, so I took one of them instead of Nut Brown. When the dealer said that it was unlikely that they would get any more Navis this year, I bought the second one that came in the same box as the first one. I already had the both the X Icon and Viper Urban Camo graphics kits on the shelf, and after some study, decided that the X Icon kit looked best on the Grasshopper, and the Viper kit looked best on the Ranger Green. I decided then to make the second one Ranger green so I could install the Viper kit. After seeing the Ranger Green panels on the Navi, it became my favorite color, with Nut Brown in second place, Red in third, and Grasshopper Green fourth.

      I didn't like the Grasshopper at first, but after adding the X Icon kit, it now might be my favorite color. I changed the color of the second one to Ranger Green, because I want to do a follow-up video of installing the Viper Urban Camo Graphics Kit, and that kit looks like it goes best on the Ranger Green. I don't think that the Viper kit will look as sharp as the X Icon kit though. Once I have installed the Viper kit, I'll decide what I like best. I think I will also try out the Nut Brown color too. I have the Nut Brown headlight cover in stock, and the Nut Brown body panels on back order, due at my dealer by the end of this month. When I first saw the Navi announcement from Honda, my favorite color was the Nut Brown, and so I specifically asked my dealer for a Nut Brown. That was before I found out how inexpensive the body panels were. As it turned out Grasshopper was the first color to come in, so I took Grasshopper.

      Ryan, Thanks for watching the video and your comment, much appreciated. I know! I bought three sets. Ranger Green, Nut Brown, and Red. I also bought a seat for when mine wears out. $25.. LOL.. The man at the parts counter had a good laugh when we saw the prices of Navi parts. I also bought a spare complete lockset for $20, includes all five locks. I also bought four key blanks for $1.50 each, and two each of left and right mirrors for $3 each. The mirrors would be the first thing to go when the Navi is accidentally dropped. I have no idea if Mexico will be assembling any more Navis after the first batch of the parts to assemble them arrived from India last summer, or manufacturing has ended or not in India, but my thinking is that you better order your parts while they are cheap and available.

      Rich, Thanks for watching my video and your comment, much appreciated. What color are you getting? The Honda graphics kits are easy to put on, and unlike a wrap, you don't have to take any body panels off. In fact, it is easier to install the graphics while the panels are on the Navi. If you haven't seen my Urban Camo video, it is here:
      ua-cam.com/video/1BjxmUlAG6I/v-deo.html
      Also, if you haven't yet found it there is a tool on the powersports.honda web site that lets you see what each of the three graphic kits look like on each of the four Navi colors. To find it, just scroll down to "Made to Customize" on Honda's web site. I'll put the link in the next reply.

    • @Vintage_Garage
      @Vintage_Garage  2 роки тому

      JP, Thanks for watching the video and your kind words and question. I gave the first Navi to my neighbor "Lightfoot", and she uses it to commute to work. I expect that she will drop her Navi several times in the next few months and will need the grasshopper panels, as her original ones will gradually get beaten up. All colors of the panels are available from your local Honda dealer, or one of the online vendors, like Rocky Mountain ATV, and while they will show as on backorder, they do eventually arrive. Each of the two side panels is about $18 each, and the headlight cover is less than $2, so my advice is to order a few sets from your local dealer and just be patient. At less than $40 a set, I think you would do well to order several sets, so you have them in stock for when you need them. If you haven't yet ordered a few sets, you should probably do it today, so you will get some of the first sets when they come in from India.

Typically, Navi parts show to be back-ordered, but they do come in once a month or so. I think the parts are coming by sea freight from India, while the Navis themselves are coming by truck from the Mexican assembly part. As I understand it, India shipped 5,000 or more CKD (Complete knock down) kits to Mexico for assembly almost a year ago now, but they may not have shipped the spare parts to Mexico.. • @Vintage_Garage
      @Vintage_Garage  2 роки тому

      Thanks for watching my video and your question, much appreciated. I didn't try riding it without the side panels, but my guess, is that you probably could. I don't think the side panels hold any of the mechanical parts in place, and for sure, they don't connect to anything on the motorcycle other than the frame, with the exception of the lower black plastic panel under the gas tank. You might have to remove that lower black plastic panel as it might catch the wind. I am not sure about that. Obviously, if you want to ride it with the headlight, you will need to keep the headlight plastic cover in place as it holds the headlight reflector and bulb. Lastly, with the gas tank in place, I don't think your feet would fit comfortably on the scooter floor, and you would probably still have to use the foot pegs for your feet.

      @Vintage_Garage  2 роки тому +2

      Gus, thanks for watching and your comment. re: sale.. Actually no, I bought the first Navi the day that Honda announced the NAVI to the US market. I was in the dealer buying a 2022 Monkey that was due to arrive this past January, when the Navi announcement showed up on the video screen in the dealer. I said I'd like the first Navi and asked for Nut Brown. When the first and only box of two came in, they were Grasshopper Green. I said I'd take one anyway, so I brought the first one home. They raised the price on the second one so I said I'd pass on it. It sat on the showroom floor for a month, and they were getting scarce in Florida, and all the Florida dealers I called said they had sold their first ones the day the boxes arrived, and at even higher out-the-door prices. I was back at the dealer last week asking when my Monkey would arrive, and saw the second Navi still on the showroom floor, so I bought it. I am giving the first Navi to my neighbor "Lightfoot", so I will be down to one Navi this time next week. I do plan to install the Camo kit on the Ranger this coming week. I am not sure if it will look sharp or not sharp, and really won't know until the install is complete. I have the Nut Brown headlight cover on the shelf, and the Nut Brown side panels on back order at my dealer. They are due by the end of the month. Still no word on when my black 2022 Monkey will arrive.

      Brett, Thanks for watching the video and your questions. The engine is a 110 CC scooter engine with a CVT belt drive. I am following the break-in instructions as outlined in the operator's manual, so I haven't yet tried a high-speed run with either Navi, but others report a top speed of between 50 and 55 mph. I didn't like the Grasshopper Green color at first, but I think it looks sharp with the X Icon Graphics Kit installed. I changed the color of the second one to Ranger Green, because I want to do a follow-up video of installing the Viper Urban Camo Graphics Kit, and that kit looks like it goes best on the Ranger Green. Once I have installed the Viper kit, I'll decide what I like best. The two body panels and headlight cover cost less than $40 at my local Honda dealer, so cost or color really isn't much of a factor. In total, the parts should cost less than $50 at your dealer. Mine came in about two weeks after I ordered them, and most dealers don't charge shipping if you pick the parts up at the parts counter. I recommend that you buy them from your local dealer. If you want to order online and pay shipping, I recommend Rocky Mountain ATV. All of the microfish is on their web site and you can see illustrations and parts numbers there. The part numbers are the same for all four colors except for the letters at the end of the part number that indicate the color of the part. The total will be less than $40 plus shipping from Rocky Mountain ATV. The model is called NVA110BA.
