Appreciate your dilemma, Im the same, garage full with old car and 3 motorcycles including the Interceptor, how I envy people with room, I always seem to be dodging the rain to do jobs and cleaning 😊😊
Great video Stu and whilst I do not own a Bobber, advice re the fitting of components is valuable and transferable between brands etc. You only have yourself to blame re the weather though. You choose to live in the north, whilst we here in the south are known as Southern Nancy's for a reason. We just aren't used to northern barbaric weather conditions. Here on the Isle of Wight for example, it is 'dawn until dusk' sunshine all year round. The temperature never drops below 60 degrees and it only ever rains between 2 and 4am in the morning, to keep the fields green and the plants happy 🙂
Looks good , great job . Its nice to put a face to the voice in the video while you are filming , not like some other channels where there either standing 100 mtrs away , wearing a helmet , trying to talk to people .
Good video as you said i thought exactly the same nice chunky look fantastic a great customising part that looks great you need a long carport on your garage as long as not to windy you needn’t worry about the rain ride safe
Hi Stuart just a thought the weather seems to be a constant issue with us in dear old Britain, have ever thought of getting a pop up gazebo to work under it might work for you 🤔
There's something fun about all the accessories you can add to most motorcycles! They look great and are not too tricky to install. What is the Outside Diameter (OD) of the shrouds? I have some auxiliary lights mounted on the front forks I'd need to replace.
Never had an issue with the gearbox on my bobber... the suspension and throttle now... different matter... so bad I got rid of mine... now I'm blatting about on a Triumph 400 Scrambler... a total giggle... don't miss the Bobbers power, and certainly not its weight... I consider my time with my Bobber an expensive lesson in form over function, gorgeous looks, but flawed as a bike on UK roads... Regarding your issue with Triumph gearboxes...? I'm on my 4th Triumph and never had an issue (and that includes the T595, with a known 4th gear issue, mine was butter smooth) 1 rotten apple and all that...🤷♂️ Ride safe
Stuart, I don't want to put you on the spot. I have been interested in a Triumph T-120 for some time now. I've seen a number of reviews through the years on them. Especially yours. Now here in 2024 would you say that they have worked out the issues they have had with their transmissions. If there are any other issues you can relate to me, it would be appreciated. I've been watching reviews on the 2023 and 2024 models. These bikes and the reviews seem to be positive, but there are hardly any miles on them. Anything would help. I watch all your shows. 5/30/24.
Anecdotal evidence is only evidence of an anecdote but- I have owned 2 2016+ liquid cooled Bonnevilles logging over 25k miles in total and have had zero issues whatsoever. With the number of these bikes out there I would suspect the failure rate is a fraction of a fraction of a percent.
@@louisjones2653 Ive lost count of the amount of gearbox failures weve had through our workshop over the last 6 years, must be getting on for 50 or more. These are not a high number production series so that suggests a big failure rate. Buying a Bonneville is a lottery!
I bought a 2018 model T120 new. Picked it up and the Gearbox failed before I even made it home. It was fixed by Triumph who said they have never heard of the issue and then failed again twice in a year. It was Stuarts whistle blowing on the subject that brought me to this channel because NO-ONE else will talk about it! I got an RE and have had several years flawless riding on it since! As a side note I went touring in Europe with a mate last year on his new 2023 T120 His gearbox failed touring the Alps less than 3k on the clock, Ruined the holiday!
Very enjoyable video Stu. Maybe you could use a gazebo outside the front of your garage when working on your bikes in iffy weather, it is something I have done a few times in the past.
Living in Gothenburg, Sweden, the weather-stress-factor is very much familiar. "Vader" is the Swedish word for "weather". We add an "o" before and get the word "ovader", meaning the kind of weather you do not want to get! 😂💦
Good morning Stu. Another good video. Pity about the weather. Have you ever thought about getting a gazebo to work under. This fork shrouds look good. I wonder why Triumph didn’t do it like that in the first place. Cost, I expect.
Hi Stu, Wanted to ask, not sure which video to ask on (so ended up picking your most recent), would it be possible for you to give a review on the BSA 650 ? It's been out a while now, maybe you have reviewed and I have not spotted it yet. Hope all is well with you and you are enjoying making all the videos as they are super to watch. Thanks as ever, Matt.
Hi uncle Stu. It seems every time.e I check my subscription status youtube has un subscribed me from your channel. For your information only. Great content.
Stuart. I sometimes watch your channel using the television and although I press like I’m not sure if that counts as subscribe as that doesn’t seem to be an option Can you help me
Hello uncle stuart i am 23 years old and i live in India. I recently started riding a motorcycle. Here in India we do not receive any proper motorcycle training so i am learning to ride from watching UA-cam videos. I am having difficulty in shifting. I know how to shift on a motorcycle but i do not understand when to upshift and downshift. So can u please explain when to upshift and downshift on a motorcycle ?
as william has suggested this is difficult to explain, although he has done a pretty good job! my advice is to take a little tution from someone with some experence.
Rare it is to hear the voice of an honest opinion these days….
we appreciate you, Stu!
have a blessed day! 😊
This is such a fantastic looking Bobber.
I fitted these to my Bobber Black. Aside from x-pipe, probably my favourite mod

Nice look!
Those shrouds look brilliant. A great addition to the bike. You could do a before and after additions video for the bobber? Would be very interesting.
Hey Stu, Nice customization, grt job
Good video as you said i thought exactly the same nice chunky look fantastic a great customising part that looks great you need a long carport on your garage as long as not to windy you needn’t worry about the rain ride safe
Brilliant video as always Stuart and Motone make some fabulous parts, I must say 😃👍🏻
Job well done Stuart considering you had to put up with Changeable weather, will send you some sunshine over from Thailand for your next video.
Great work Stu , They really complement the forks , and this weather is starting to really P!$$ me off 🌧🌧
Stuart I reckon a brass grub screw would be a better idea and would eliminate the chance of damaging the chrome
I love the chunky look this gives! Great quality too. Hope they eventually make these for the Shotgun 650 so I can chuck them on my bike. Cheers!
Good Morning Stu , Great piece of kit love the look , brilliant step by step instruction video well done mate , take care & ride safe
May be one of those fold up gazebo/canopy thingys? No probs, still informative and interesting to us commited subscribers.
Nice intro 🎶
Great educational videos these & no need to keep apologising on behalf of Mother Nature. Love the music reminds me of them spaghetti westerns. 👊😎👍

I was about to say the same! Posts on one side only.
Cool install video! Personally, I think the stock chrome with amber lenses would look best.
Thanks! Was waiting for this video before attempting the install myself. 👍
Love the look of these bikes, will have to have a test drive one day
Nice one Stu - I was going to purchase these along with the pico’s…. Now I know how to fit them, looks straight forward…
Nice one Stuart. Brilliant work and video description. Looks great. I need to get one of those rubber persuaders 😊

Great video as usual Stuart. The music is fantastic! Can you tell me the artist please.

No the issue with the gearbox still exists. It would appear triumph cant fix it without a complete re design of the power plant.
@@stuartfillingham Thank you so much. This is why people all over the world appreciate your candid responses. You've saved me from a big headache.

Hello Stuart, just a thought, would a Gazebo help with filming on rainy days?
Love all the videos
Cheers Keith
You could do with a Gazebo Stuart.
another Great job well done
You could make a bit of room stu by getting rid of those two triumphs you don’t ride anymore 😊😂😮
Looks great👍.

I have considered a gazebo but i have nowhere to store it when not in use. The garage is full!
@@stuartfillinghamSave up for a car port.
Cant put a permanent structure up on the hardstanding due to restrictions on the deeds

Clearly you need a larger garage because, you always need just one more bike than you have now.
