The best video I've seen so far on how to level this thing. I've been at my wit's end trying to get this thing level using the paper method and the card that came with it. Hopefully this vat method will fix it.
Good tut. I've been using a version of this method for over a year on my saturn2 and it's rock solid. It doesn't seem to work as well for larger printers like the Jupiter due to the wider suction of the vat and plate. As much as the x-y pins are a pain to lock down, the four screw bracket design (jupiter, halot) is the most erratic thing I've run across. I haven't done a .5 z-home so I may try that
This is a very nice and infomative video but the end confused the hell out of me .. when you got to the z=0 portion .. then said it works for the 8k but not the saturn 3? I have a saturn 3 12k, and followed this until the z=0 step and left it, the levelling card is all over the shop so i don't use that anymore, but the 5mm part is a nice touch, but i often use the z=0 set but misses it, so i don't do the 5 x 1mm then z=0 on my saturn 3?
So sorry for the slow reply I've been on another planet. OK so for the Saturn 3 I level the build plate on the FEP and then set 0. Raising it up 5 times 0.5mm ( Saturn 8k method) caused failures. I hope that makes sense.
Thanks a lot mate. Been printing for 2 years and now my Saturn 2 is giving me much pain. Next printer will be with autoleveling for sure
Volume is top notch! voice is clear, glad you took my advice
Yeah, you gave some great advice that I couldn't ignore. Thanks for your feedback, Warrior.
This was very helpful, and professional! I really like the details you give! Keep up the good work!
Thank you kunfuMaya!

Like you I struggled to find something truthful and to the point. I'm pleased the video helped you get ahead. Happy printing and take good care!
Thank you mate! Kept getting one side fails and this fixed my issue!

Hello that video was very helpful, can you share your elegoo saturn 8k print settings?
I get my saturn 3 friday. So level on the vat not the screen. Got it.

This was all looking very logical, until I realized that .5mm raise on the screen is not equal to .05mm for a layer.
Your layer height is 0.05 mm 10 times less than what you are saying.
How hasn't anyone pointed out how wrong this is?
