Marsha Johnson was an amazing and inspiring individual. She earns her rightful place in LGBT history. Marsha was not transgender. She identified as "boy" and as a "transvestite". She used the word transvestite because it implied a man who cross dresses. She did not throw the first brick at Stonewall. In her own words, she didn't arrive downtown until 2am, when the uprising was well under way. It is important we tell our history accurately.

Why are people still perpetuating this myth that she started the riot?
