Awesome effect and great product recommendation! I’m starting an American flag Harley tomorrow after battling a flu that i was concerned it could be COVID but it seems I’m fine. I might use some of these products and techniques. The HOK candies is something i might not use due to price restrictions and I’m trying to switch completely into water based Autoair colors which have been working very well for me. They are harder to spray and tip drying Demons but a great effect and surprisingly durable! I’ve used in the past planet colors from Sherwin Williams and there’s nothing I’ve ever found to beat them but they discontinued them a few years back. Thank you as always for sharing your art!!!
I am a model car builder that has recently taken to building low riders. I have been watching videos to learn more of the craft. I came upon yours by accident, and have been quite inspired by your artistry and presentation that allows us to truly learn how and what you are doing. I now have to adapt that to model cars, but that's what makes the hobby challenging and interesting. Thank you for so fully sharing your talents.
This video started me on my airbrush journey. Now i'm painting graphics on my '66. I learned from you. From all of us DIY/artists/lowlifes/customizers, thank you for being a real one.
Cool to watch. I am European and we don,t have this style here very much. You can paint a trash-bin or your high-end speakers in your livingroom etc. That would be wicked cool. We in the Netherlands are a nation of bicycles. Can you imagine the looks you would get here with a paintjob like this on your bicycle?
That was the best comprehinsive pait tutorial that I have ever seen! Especialy with the captioning to illistrate what products/colors you were using. I've just started learning how to paint so I've seen alot of videos over the subject in the past few months. The engineering of this video was spot on for teaching. Thanks for the presentation of your talents.
I used to watch my Uncle Leo Murphy and Paul Gill do this in the 70's with lace and stuff they had laying around the shop... I loved the murals he'd have done on the sides of the vans.... Uncle Leo once cut a giant heart shaped hole in the roof of a White 72 Caddy.. He made a Red plexiglass sunroof and he made heart shaped interior lights as well..
i've never so much has held a spray gun in my life. i still can't get enough of this kina stuff. i kept thinking "looks cool enough as is" every step of the way, and it just got better and better.
The Serape concept is awesome. Growing up in SoCal, I always had an appreciation for lowriders and the incredible paint schemes that I've seen throughout the years. Great work!
OutSTANDing! Well done. I knew it was beaucoup work, lots and lots of tape, patience, and multiple coats of color buried in clear. I will steal what I learned here.
Thought the exact same thing, not my cup of tea, but appreciate the time and effort that went into doing it. You don't have to like it to appreciate to appreciate the skill.
Dude, so freaking nice! I learned a lot just from the short video. Growing up in SoCal around the lowrider community I watched this style of artwork gain ground over a lot of years. Your attention to detail, great filming and your instructional abilities make this one of the best videos I've seen in a long long time! Kept me engaged every second. Good job!!
amazing work, My dad used to paint his own bikes. He rode candy apple heavy flaked Knucklehead when I was a kid, now you make me wanna get my spare Fat Bob tank out, pull the dents, sand it down and experiment.
I'm starting my father bike that was left to me after he passed. I am using your videos to get this accomplished. I'm going for a teal candy and off white pearl accents. I would like to add his signature to the tins as well. He was a Vietnam veteran with the Air Force. I'll be including a Air Force logo in the paint as well. Thanks for doing what you do on your channel to inspire me to create a homage to him and his life. Keep up the great work
Beautiful paint work, the Mexican blanket was amazing to watch.. I wasn't sure about the lace and Harley logo after the other graphics but it blended nicely after hitting everything with clear.. I'll be looking for more videos.
OMG I loved watching this vid more than the average person! I couldn't stop watching and was on the edge of my seat in excitement with every color change! You definitely did a stellar job showcasing your masking, spraying, and artistry skills! My father's a pro auto refinisher and been doing it 45 yrs. This takes me back to watching him in the shop when I was growing up. I've always wanted to learn this along side him, but sadly, we have different careers and are far apart, so it never happened. Thanks for the good time 👍
I grew up in So. Calif. in the 60's and 70's and we saw lots of the wildest paint jobs on the lowriders . I always liked race cars & hot rods , but the paint jobs on the lowriders were just unreal and must have taken forever to do . Some of the gasser type cars had sweet paint jobs too . This guy is like a pinstriper with the tape ! I bet he can freehand pinstripe also . The finished tank is just AMAZING
all those "oddly satisfying videos" compilations don't have anything on this, watching the paint go on layer by layer as everything slowly comes together as one coherent design is downright mesmerizing!
What an absolutely beautiful job in every single way! The only thing that bummed me out is that you used an OEM HD tank because I am an absolute sucker for stock HD paint jobs but with that being said I know a lot of aftermarket tanks take a lot more work to prep and just generally aren't very good so I understand haha
I love this stuff my Dad would do custom Lacquer paint jobs in the 60's. I would help him sand when I was little. I loved watching him work. He did some amazing stuff. Now there are so many cool paints, pearls ,metal flake, what have you. It still sexy to watch..
Opened my eyes to airbrushing, certainly a very calm voice and easily understandable. Very much appreciate you explaining each detail as you went through. Makes me want to paint everything now… id love to get my motorcycle painted a custom color or a color i love. Saving my money and watching the many styles
The flakes remind me of the kiddie rides at the carnival. Memories. Was curious could all this paint and colors and flakes be done. With the type of paint that changes colors with sunlight
