I had to smile when you said that you were uneasy about filming in that place, i expect that the wolves and ghouls were saying the same about avoiding the wooly hatted witch stood by the tree talking to herself 😄 Have a blessed day, Bex, 🐺 ❤☮️ 🙏
Love what you said about finding joy in whatever season you are in. I live in the southern United States, and I actually enjoy winter because it is mostly bright sunshine and cooler temperatures. It rarely reaches negative anything centigrade here, and it does not snow. Comversley, I really dislike the summer time because it is 35°C, 80% humidity, and stays that way for 6 months of the year. I usually try to focus on what I enjoy about it, the bright sun, a more relaxed work schedule, how refreshing iced drinks are, potential trips to the lake or beach, and the flowers in bloom.
I myself don’t practise magic regularly, but I always watch your videos to follow the changes of seasons. They help me to attune to Nature especially when I feel detached from it working from home in front of a computer, and living in the harsh climate of Canada’s North (we had -40 C last week 😮) I appreciate your wonderful craft ideas and recipes, and often make those with my kid 💜❄️✨
Here in Wales UK, Imbolc definitely feels like the beginning of Spring. All the bulbs are coming up and the Hellebore and Witch Hazel are in flower. I find it a really hopeful time but may struggle if I lived somewhere where it was snowing regularly until May. Your little one was so cute when they called you crazy in spanish
I feel like the Yule season is one of *rest and quietness.* It's a time to hunker down and just try to make it through the darkness. The days are so short and I just want to sleep. I yearn for a drop of sunshine. We eat sweets, gather with loved ones, and decorate with lights to keep the long nights at bay. It's a time to reflect on the year past, evaluate how it went, and what we can do better. But Imbolc is a time of *anticipation.* It's still so cold and the weather makes it hard to actually *do* very much. (I myself have been stuck at home for the last 2 weeks because of the snow and icy conditions.) And yet, the days are getting longer. With more light, I'm starting to perk up a bit and I find myself looking toward the future. Planning. Scheming. Nothing is really active yet, but under the surface, you can feel things beginning to wake up.
True story; I sat down to begin weaving some Brigid's crosses for Imbolc, and you pop up with more inspiration! (And yes, please share the project in the kids' room. Sounds fantastic!)
You are so funny! Here in the northern hemisphere we are celebrating the full wolf moon and there you are really dealing with the wolf! Your baked goods always make me drool. So yum! I agree about airing the sheets and bed. Thanks for all you bring to us.
I just wanted to say I really enjoy your style of videos and your bright, charming personality. I'm an American animist, but my family originally comes from South Germany. I've struggled to find witchcraft resources relevant to my heritage, so it's been wonderful to finally find someone talking about traditions from that part of the world!
As someone whose family has lived in the Deep South of the US for about 12 generations, I agree with your crotch goblin about the ice bathing - Mamá esta loca! But I do love your videos (just not keen on sitting in a bath of ice water) & I would love a video of you cussing like a sailor as you transform your kids' room into a forest fantasy. Happy Imbolc to you & yours!
Girl, that little dip in the ice water was totally hard core! Thank you for another informative and entertaining video! You're such an inspiration, Bex. I adore lemon merengue pie, but I haven't made one in years. I think it's time for another 😊
Lemon meringue is my FAVOURITE dessert in the whole world! I'm new to witchery and didn't know it was an Imbolc thing - I have an excuse to make some now (not that I ever need an excuse...). Thanks so much for the video xx
I've been kind of in a slump right now magically, and whenever I watch one of your seasonal videos, it gives me motivation to continue my practice. Thank you so much for making me laugh and inspire me in my practice! Blessed be!
I've honestly lost my way because of how busy I've been the past few years. But now that I've graduated and my baby is 4 months now, you're really inspiring me to get back to my book of shadows. thanks for your videos!
Yikes! I never understood how people could do cold plunges. Then I figured out I'm actually allergic to cold. I get hives at the very least. Its an MS symptom, allergic to heat too. l have to keep within a range. Some people can't even drink iced drinks, it could kill them! They only make me cough a lot. Rock on Icy Folks! Glad to know I'm not just a wuss, cuz I most certainly am not! You're videos are so sweet and inspiring and are Domestic Eye Candy.
10:06 Gooorl that was so funny ! I love you so much , I enjoy every new video you make and they really help me to expand my knowledge about the wheal of the year and the many celebrations and traditions of other witches ! Thank you for doing what you are! Love you
Hello from Ohio. I would love to see what you do to the kids room, it sounds so cute, the secret forest wonderland with trees. I enjoy each of your videos, they bring me happiness and I learn so much form you even with me practicing for many years, there is always more to learn.
A chilly hello , from our cottage in the English woods, we hear strange things also but definitely not wolves, be careful lol, another wonderful post thank you, I loved you dip pool? My husband is Bavarian by birth, he did smile when I said we should do it, I won't write his reply , but they were alot of Bavarian words lol, your tarts looked gorgeous and I will make them and loved your bird feeder, thank you again , stay save and warm, untill next time I send many warm blessings 😊
I always enjoy watching your videos, and when you filmed outside, I could almost feel the cold crisp air. Thank you so much! BTW, when you do start creating the magic forest room for your children, I recommend using expanding foam which comes in a spray can. It is relatively inexpensive but the possibilities are unlimited, cardboard and wire make good forms to "build" on and they are very cost effective too!
You are a brave soul, Bex. I don't know that I could ever sit in icy, frigid water like that.🥶 Someone would have to literally pick me up and drop me in to it.😂 However, I will - after taking a shower, turn the water to cold, because yes, it feels good and is quite invigorating. I just don't like it too freezing. Those tarts look so delicious. Lemon is such a wonderful flavor and lemon meringue pie is my favorite.🍋 Also, it's heartwarming to watch your son help you in the kitchen. I love his curiosity about things (such as - why are you sitting in ice water?😂). An absolutely precious moment.🥰 I also enjoyed hearing those wolves howl. Nature is up and about and getting ready for Spring.☺ Well, I'm six days late watching this video, so it's actually Imbolc Eve now. That being said, I wish you and yours, and everyone else as well, a beautiful and happy Imbolc. Much love and many witchy blessings. ❤🕯🍃
Yes a DIY forest room vlog would be so cool! I watched someone do a grinch themed room for Christmas and it’s so amazing…and someone did a galaxy room..why not when you have the space!
I have my first colonoscopy scheduled (unintentionally) for Imbolc! Was glad to hear there is an element of cleaning things out to the holiday 🤪 Was also grateful for other fun ideas for how to celebrate!
Just wanted to express the love for you and your videos! Based purely on your sense of humor, I think we must be related on my German side 😆 watching your videos always feels like visiting a cousin and having a chuckle and a snack. Thank you for another morsel of delight and good vibes! I’ll have to plan my next trip to Germany around one of your retreats!
I still remember subscribing her when she had only a few subscribers... We have grown soo fast❤. And i also remember the first heart that i got from her😢
11:20-13:00 - in Russia we do this on the Baptism. And various other folks do this whenever possible and we call them "morZHEE" ("walruses" lol). Y son un poco locos, también!
Very nice cosy video as always. I think Imbolc really helps break up what can otherwise feel like a very long winter. It's a good time to prepare for the spring. It's interesting realising how Christianity took many of the pagan holidays and rituals and christianised them ie Shrove Tuesday for eating pancakes etc. I'm currently ill with a cold but thinking about Imbolc and the spring is definitely cheering me up.
I always appreciate these holiday videos from you! While I'm not brave enough for an ice bath yet, I did get a swimsuit picture in front of a sign reading out the -45 temperature! :)
Lovely crafts for the birds! There has been a long standing tradition in the city where I was born to take a "polar plunge" into the water on January 1 and hundreds of loco New Englander's participate, some every year, and some are elders in their 80's now, so they have survived. They are called the "L Street Brownies" and they run into the water en mass wearing their bathing suits. There is a lot of screaming and laughing to help keep them warm. Really enjoyed this video - thanks!
This time of year, I like to watch soggy leaf litter being turned into soil nutrients. It's the way trees nourish themselves, the grass, other plants, and the whole plant community within their vicinity... :)
I would LOVE to see that video of you decorating their room!! I'm currently on a (years journey -_-) of smiling and cussing out stuff to create a fairy/witch/wizard/etc. Castle for my daughter. Good luck and thanks so much for sharing as usual!
What a lovely attunement for Imbolc. Really makes you want to go into the kitchen and bake something. But I must also agree with your son.. Ice bathing sounds like hell..
I love the idea of your offering for the birds. We have quite a few woodpeckers, bluebirds, bluejays, finches, etc. that visit. However, we also have an abundance of black bears. Hanging cut fruit, seeds, and nuts out and about would invite every bear in the neighborhood by for a snack. I love them, but they tend to do some damage whenever they visit. 🐻🐻🐻
Such a beautiful video! You always inspire me and remind me that nothing has to be perfect, intention and heart create magic. I love the concept of the Christmas tree staying up until Feb, mine is still up currently haha.
Its been gloomy here with rain, snow and just plain clouds. To cheer myself up I made some double chocolate dream cookies. Baking with good intentions does bring great joy. I agree with your son that you are crazy, but in a good way. I'd love to see the project with the kid's room just to see how it comes out. I'm sure it will be amazing.
Hi, Bex! Blessed Imbolc. I just finished making a St. Brighid’s Cross. I enjoyed all your ideas- the tarts, that very nice gift for the birds. Had infested bird seed, too. I am considering the ice plunge.🤔
Wonderful to see your videos and learn more about your version of craft. Bravo on the presentation. Lol I scuba dive in penguin and polar Bear aquarium for work. No wonder I have happiness. Now I know!May all the seeds soe in your gardens. 🐟🍷
I always enjoy the little specific lore bits you share! The wild hunt and bed sheets bit!😅❤ I am glad you mentioned the early spring cleaning bit.... I always start to feel that need to start cleaning and organizing around Imbolc too. Made all the more strong by living in a tiny house !
I just found your channel and i am stoked! Love hearing from like minded friends. I recently read ice baths help menopause symptoms. Interesting, eh?? Have a great week!!!
I just found out I'm pregnant, which feels perfect for Imbolc. Does anyone have any suggestions for something that would incorporate pregnant energies?
I keep the bird seed in a cracked (no holes) cereal container with a lid and some old giant pickle jars that I've retired bc I can't find replacement lids :)
Thanks for a fun video Bex! I love when you let your quirky self shine ✨ your balcony ice bath is inspiring ! DIY forest bedroom project sounds like so much fun, I’d be down. Blessings from Regensburg ❤
Growing up in Southern California, as a child I would constantly swim in the ocean, then I moved more inland and never got the chance to in my late teens. Then I moved to an island, the first year I swam so much, even though each time I was met with icky sea stuff I never saw in California Beaches. My fear of what’s in the ocean is stronger than how cold it might be. Though I know the water is warmer than the air in the winter time-I still am scared of things touching me in the water 😨 lots of women on island do a polar plunge every year (just noticed it’s never men? 🤔) and I commend them. One of the girls who does it goes to Ireland every year to visit family-and she’s always swimming in that cold climate 🥶
The way your child asked what you were doing in German then called you crazy in Spanish was gold.
Hahaha unintentional comedic gold 🤣
“Who needs a demon in their bed?” *looks pointedly into the camera* I AM CACKLING 😂😂😂
Heheee 🤐🤤🥸
If they rub your feet after a long night at work, I'll take a couple.
I love learning about witchcraft from someone who makes it so funny- thank you!
Glad to hear 😊
I had to smile when you said that you were uneasy about filming in that place, i expect that the wolves and ghouls were saying the same about avoiding the wooly hatted witch stood by the tree talking to herself 😄
Have a blessed day, Bex, 🐺 ❤☮️ 🙏
Pretty sure this is true 😂 I always tell myself I probably look like a hunter to them with my tripod equipment so they hopefully avoid me 😅
A witch in the woods has nothing to fear, for she knows she is the most dangerous thing in those woods 🌸
@@zenz0ha472 That's my point 😁
*laughs*
I seriously love when you say crotch goblins! I am not a baker, but I do love and want to try to make these! They look divine!

That truuuly are winter temperatures 🥶 stay warm! And I am happy I can brighter you some of that seasonal enjoyment and meaning ❤
Hello fellow Canadian! It's starting to thaw here in Alberta 💛 a bit easier to believe in spring now lol
I can't believe February is almost here! Really enjoyed seeing your beautiful crafts 😃

That bird feeder was so cute and creative! I love the Imbolc energy as it is still hibernation period but also the very first signs of spring 🌸
I often find March the coldest month! And May/June the most sunny :)
Girl, that little dip in the ice water was totally hard core! Thank you for another informative and entertaining video! You're such an inspiration, Bex. I adore lemon merengue pie, but I haven't made one in years. I think it's time for another 😊
Beautiful little tarts. They look scrumptious. 🍋
Thank you 😋 they were eaten in under 2 minutes hahah
Lemon meringue is my FAVOURITE dessert in the whole world! I'm new to witchery and didn't know it was an Imbolc thing - I have an excuse to make some now (not that I ever need an excuse...). Thanks so much for the video xx
It is sooooo good! It isn't a Imbolc thing traditionally but I find ut fits well if you bake with meaning and intention 😊
"Que loca esta Mama?" haha so cute and funny. Thanks for another lovely videooooo. xxxx

Love & Light from Mississippi, blessed sister. ✌🏼🖤 Y'all stay safe and keep taking care of each other.
Sending much love and Imbolc blessings ❄️
Would love to see a crafting/swearing video. :)
Ahahah okay!!!
I usually swear and throw the project against the wall at least once. 😅
I definitely paused for thought about the demon in my bed …. Loved your talk thank you 🙏 🧙🏻☘️

I am very glad you didn’t get eaten by a wolf 😂!
Love your videos ❤❤❤
Ahahah thank you! Me too!
Those howling sounds in the background were spooky AF!!!!!! Glad you were not eaten by wolves 😅
Thank you for being real about your craft projects! It's great to see "imperfect" crafts. Yes! Not everything needs to be pinterest-perfect! xoxo
I always appreciate these holiday videos from you! While I'm not brave enough for an ice bath yet, I did get a swimsuit picture in front of a sign reading out the -45 temperature! :)

What a lovely attunement for Imbolc. Really makes you want to go into the kitchen and bake something.
But I must also agree with your son.. Ice bathing sounds like hell..
Love you all.. thank you for being here and sharing 🌷♥️♥️
You're the best! What a lovely comment 😊♥️
I usually just lurk in the background, but I wanted to pop on here and say how much I love your beautifully made videos!
Oh I absolutely want to see the magical forest room transformation! Especially if it involves lots of cursing!
Such a beautiful video! You always inspire me and remind me that nothing has to be perfect, intention and heart create magic. I love the concept of the Christmas tree staying up until Feb, mine is still up currently haha.
"LET'S BE A SNACK TOGETHER" 😂😂😂
💅💅😏
Always looking forward to your videos when I celebrate the sabbats
Its been gloomy here with rain, snow and just plain clouds. To cheer myself up I made some double chocolate dream cookies. Baking with good intentions does bring great joy. I agree with your son that you are crazy, but in a good way. I'd love to see the project with the kid's room just to see how it comes out. I'm sure it will be amazing.
My ancestors are from Germany but I can't imagine doing an Ice plunge. I do sleep really well in winter with the heat down to 58F though.
I'm here for that fluffy, creamy thing in the picture ❤
I highly recommend baking them - sooooo good 🤤
I love the bird feeder ❤❤❤❤
Wow I can’t believe it’s almost Imbolc!!!

My husband is half German and loves his ice baths... I'm of Scandinavian decent and I'm all about the sauna 😉

Great video Bex, kinder is brilliant.... ❤ and the smell of those sheets. 😈
I am a simple woman, if The Witch’s Cookery posts, I watch. ❤️

I love your editing and aesthetic, your videos are always so beautiful to watch! ❤
I just found out I'm pregnant, which feels perfect for Imbolc. Does anyone have any suggestions for something that would incorporate pregnant energies?
I absolutely adore your channel! I recently made your Magickal cleaning/cleansing spray for when I spring clean my apartment next week
I keep the bird seed in a cracked (no holes) cereal container with a lid and some old giant pickle jars that I've retired bc I can't find replacement lids :)

Btw this island is on the east coast so pretty cold 🥶
The ice bath is a good idea but I really want to overcome my fears so I can do the polar plunge in to nature 🩵❄️
"Que loca esta mamá " I died laughing
El crotchgoblin 🤣
Whaaaat?? I had just had the realization that you remind me of Violet Bridgerton, and then you mentioned Bridgerton! 😄
Also, not me watching this while hanging up the laundry lol
Ahahah I love that! Totally taking this as a compliment- we love a strong matriarch 😅
Thanks for another wonderful video!
Thanks for watching!
Loved ❤ Happy Winter.
Same to you! ♥️❄️
