Wow love that you got new license plate plugs! You did such a good job with that! OMG that shift knob was so bad! Glad you replaced that too! It didn't look like that when I sold it so long ago! All the maintenance I did was from a Honda Dealer or Corner 3 Garage. Yeah that car did get hard when I was on the 710 going northbound but was not totaled by insurance. Look forward to the next video
I just bought a gsr and planning to return it back to stock form after some kids riced it out. Keep me updated on your progress man. She’s looks awesome 👏
Your video and channel popped up as a recommendation. I watch a lot of Integra content. At quick glance, I see you have a few videos of interest that warrant a closer look. I like the colour of your Integra. It wasn't available when I bought mine. I am the original owner of a red 1994 Integra GSR. It currently has 88,900 kms on the meter. The low kilometrage is as result of storing it on blocks indoors from late October to May to avoid snow and road salt. I look forward to viewing more content on your integra.
@@TysonHugie I subbed to your channel. Click on my icon to see a close up of my GSR. I may have to post a video of it on UA-cam for people to see. I thought nothing of anyone having any interest in Integras until a few years ago when strangers would approach me to talk about my car while filling up and driving by giving me a thumbs up or engaging me in conversation at red lights. Lol. I'm definitely hanging on to the car indefinately.
I wish i was living in Arizona i need Hon-Man to fix up my 93 prelude. It has a idle surge problem and something going on with the abs system the light is on i have to press all the way down to get it to stop. I live in georgia and nobody cant fix my car🤦🏽♂️
Love this spec had a black one back in 2000 I’m 46 years old bought it 5 years old rt from acura 13k was the price can u imagine with a warranty too lol
I had one of these in 1998; great car but sadly very few survivors exist these days. I have wanted a 97+ Prelude with the SH handling and manual transmission for years but it’s nearly impossible to find one worth buying.
Tyson Hugie ahhh interesting. Maybe I’ll have to send you a pic.. because the color looks identical but I may be mistaken... and the custom plate says 97.. unless the owner is mistaken lol
Wow The plot thickens. So now we know it was in a rear accident. But my bigger question why is there a fresh head gasket? That's not something you normally need to replace unless something major happened with the engine. Like running it hot.Look forward to more updates on it.
Exactly! I knew the engine had a rebuild because it has a history of not passing California smog tests. I should know more at the end of this week about exactly which direction I'm going with this car and which items on that checklist we'll address.
Nice find Hugie! Always enjoyed your cars and the restorations. I used to have a fully stock DC2 GSR myself. One point to note though, the new shift knob you put on was the stock RS/LS/GS knob, GSR had a different one. Other than that I can’t wait to see the next updates of this project!!!
@@TysonHugie ok the green one outside, I think it was your friends!!?? It had a scuff in the right rear bumper and a scuff in the front right bumper!! By any chance did he get that gsr from San Diego???
Take off the distributor cap. If there's orangey/brown dust/powder in there, the distributor is bad. Dead giveaway to a bad dizzy. Had to replace the one in my 1995 GSR a year ago. Honda doesn't have any more in stock so you'd have to go aftermarket or used OEM. Cost me $500 for a new aftermarket installed by a garage. Good luck with the '99!
Gah yes! Loving this color. Your videos are getting good too! Those aftermarket pedals were in my old Vigor haha. I hate that this one has had a rough previous life.
Top 3 favorite OEM Honda colors.
1. Championship white
2. Election Blue Pearl
3. Super Sonic Blue

Super mint 🥂 I have a classic miata 90 NA
If the teggy looks and drives like a dream , don’t let any mechanic tells you any difference 🤔
Unfortunately, it doesn't. The car has died at stoplights a few times.
Tyson Hugie awe , that’s just sparks plugs and coils 🤔
Long list of stuff wrong... I’m glad your taking the time to make it right that’s the way I would do it! Cannot wait to see more
Awesome, thanks for the support.

Gotta love it

Hi Tyson, my exhaust tip on the gsr is full of grime as well. What did you use to polish it so well?
Mother’s mag & aluminum polish
Is that a Type R cluster?
Correct.

Jorden Pitkin of Anytime Dent.
whats the intro background music?
Unfortunately on this video I can't remember, all my intro songs are from a 'free' UA-cam audio library that is not copyright-restricted.
