Thanks for the overwhelming love for this car and the upcoming project(s) with it! There are a ton of Integra experts and fans in the audience. Many, many of you already noted the Type R cluster in this car - it's something I already knew about from before buying it. In a future video I'll talk more about the history of the car and how it came to this point. Tune in!
Tyson Hugie nice pick up!! I saw the car post on CL I message the guy on dec 22 and we talk... he agreed on next day which was the 23 I can go check out the car I was going to buy it if everything was legit so I ask him if I can get the vin number so I can car fax it before I go and he told me he’s keeping the car until after the holidays.... he was cool until I asked for the vin... lol
@@kevinly9368 Kevin Ly Yep that sounds like my experience too. I had to get fairly assertive with him, he told me the same thing. I was able to get the VIN from the plate, and discovered a few things on the Carfax that I had to bring to his attention. So maybe that's why he didn't want to give it to you. Either way I'm happy with what I got!
So glad to see this is my first manual car when I moved to Los Angeles that you had for a bit! Lots of things are missing from it and I am so glad we got to connect! Can't wait to see what you do to it
Had this car ages ago in supersonic blue pearl.. solid but slow as hell.. I had a blonde in a v6 wrangler take me at a redlight and it had to go asap. Took forever to sell.
Tyson Hugie still solid for what it was and people literally pulled me over a couple times to check the car out. I was a speed racer at the time and power and pride was all that mattered to me. Enjoy it dude, it’s a great ride.
The first 2 cars I ever owned were both Integras. Best cars I've ever driven to date. They just fit me like a glove. Perfect size to fit anywhere and very agile. Unfortunately I rolled my first one in a pretty bad accident and the second one was destroyed when I was the victim of a head on collision. Fortunately, both times I walked away with scratches and minimal injuries. I've been driving a 2005 TSX for the past 12 years now and love that thing just as much as my Integras. The extra room is a bonus especially with my son in tow. What can I say... I ❤ Acuras!
This vid just made me smile and just makes me even more grateful and glad that i have and still drive and own my 98 integra gsr. Clean title and suprisingly hasn't been stolen yet but knocking on wood! You got a sub from me and looking foward to the project!
That color is absolutely stunning! The asymmetrical trim pieces are...interesting...but the car seems to be a great find. Looking forward to seeing more of this one!
I had a 2000 GSR in Dark violet pearl all original mint black leather interior with 36k original miles and a 2000 Integra type R Phoenix yellow all original with 56k miles both were stolen out of my locked driveway overnight in 2014..till today ive never recovered them. Please keep your cars locked up at all times. You have an awesome collection by the way keep up the good work
Love the new whip! The color is mesmerizing. Reminds me a little of Electron blue pearl Honda offered back in 1999 - 2001 on the Prelude, Civic Si, and maybe the CR-V. Good score buddy, very good! 👍
Only cons about these integras are the antennas not working, trunk switch not gonna work, and the driver/passenger window actuator gonna go out other than that’s its a solid car had 200k+ on my 2000 GSR I had 10 years ago
Awesome find! My very first brand new car was the 1999 Ingetra GS-R in Super Sonic Blue. I bought it from the Acura dealer in Scottsdale, AZ when they used to be on McDowell back then.
Wow! When I commented last video about buying one of these I didn’t know you would actually do it this quick or already had it in the works lol. I have this exact GS-R except mines is the Milano red exterior, really clean
Tyson Hugie haha yea GS-Rs are overshadowed by the Type R but I think they’ll be worth a lot later that’s why I’m keeping mine but mine has about 197k miles tho but still clean
Nice score! I bought a 2000 GSR black on black leather with 128k miles last year too. You might want to see if they bumper is OEM. It’s missing the Integra imprint under the driver side head lights.
Happy Belated Birthday Brotha! Nice GSR to add to the Hugie Acura Museum. I see lots of potential in that car as well and with you being OCD it will be shining like new in no time :)
Congrats! I also flew to another state to pick mine up. Flew from Northern VA to Charlotte NC. The car drives beautifully, it’s a GSR shell with a type R motor swap. Very clean swap!! I will also put up a video of my journey.
Holy crap that is like new for such an older car! I had 4 Integras, ending on my last 1997 LS. I miss them all a ton! Your lucky to find something so stock!
Super Sonic Blue was always my favorite color on these. Wow what a nice score! My friend bought a new Type R in 2000 it was Phoenix Yellow. Funny on the 26th I won an Integra 10 years older than yours. An 89 Integra LS Gold with 180K I use to have a black one back in 1997 When the bid went for $200 i couldn't pass it up.or let it go to the scrap yard.Happy Birthday and New Year man!!
@@TysonHugie Monday my 2 state journey begins to pick it up. That's OK I'll always have a soft spot for Integras. It was the first Acura/ Honda car I owned.
Clicked on the video for the SSBP GSR, then when you showed the garage with the Aztec Green DB2, instant like 👍. Two very nice and rare colorways both in great condition. I had a 99 Adriatic Blue Pearl 4 door GSR DB8, and a couple other Integras before that.
Kasio 22B depends where In az you stay. I live in Nogales az and always leave my cars sitting with the keys in it running when I go into stores to grab a beer or smokes. Never had nothin happen yet and I been doin that for at least a year
