- I usually try to publish videos on Sundays, but today's my birthday so I'll post it early :). It's been 20 years since this "revvy rarity" of a car hit the Acura showrooms, but it has aged well and has always been on my list of cars that I needed to own at some point. The opportunity came up to acquire an all-stock, original GS-R in my favorite color ever, so I picked it up. Thanks for the overwhelming love for this car and the upcoming project(s) with it! There are a ton of Integra experts and fans in the audience. Many, many of you already noted the Type R cluster in this car - it's something I already knew about from before buying it. Tyson Hugie nice pick up!! I saw the car post on CL I message the guy on dec 22 and we talk... he agreed on next day which was the 23 I can go check out the car I was going to buy it if everything was legit so I ask him if I can get the vin number so I can car fax it before I go and he told me he’s keeping the car until after the holidays.... he was cool until I asked for the vin... lol
@@kevinly9368 Kevin Ly Yep that sounds like my experience too. I had to get fairly assertive with him, he told me the same thing. I was able to get the VIN from the plate, and discovered a few things on the Carfax that I had to bring to his attention. So maybe that's why he didn't want to give it to you. Either way I'm happy with what I got!
Yea... it ok as long as you’re happy with it... I already have two type r now and a lot of Gsr that I sold... that car was going to be my wife Daily.

The first 2 cars I ever owned were both Integras. Best cars I've ever driven to date. They just fit me like a glove. Perfect size to fit anywhere and very agile. Unfortunately I rolled my first one in a pretty bad accident and the second one was destroyed when I was the victim of a head on collision. Fortunately, both times I walked away with scratches and minimal injuries.
I've been driving a 2005 TSX for the past 12 years now and love that thing just as much as my Integras. The extra room is a bonus especially with my son in tow.
What can I say... I ❤ Acuras!

I had a 2000 GSR in Dark violet pearl all original mint black leather interior with 36k original miles and a 2000 Integra type R Phoenix yellow all original with 56k miles both were stolen out of my locked driveway overnight in 2014..till today ive never recovered them. Please keep your cars locked up at all times. You have an awesome collection by the way keep up the good work

I don't know about in Arizona, but in Cali, this is the prime target to get stolen. Good luck!
I know. There was an attempted theft in 2010 and the ignition and gauge cluster were both damaged.
Kasio 22B depends where In az you stay. I live in Nogales az and always leave my cars sitting with the keys in it running when I go into stores to grab a beer or smokes. Never had nothin happen yet and I been doin that for at least a year
I just got my first Acura RL! I am not a big fan of the GSR looks but appreciate the heritage and your enthusiasm for it!

Awesome find! My very first brand new car was the 1999 Ingetra GS-R in Super Sonic Blue. I bought it from the Acura dealer in Scottsdale, AZ when they used to be on McDowell back then.
Yes! I used to live right by that location - I lived at Hayden & McDowell for about 9 years.
Love the new whip! The color is mesmerizing. Reminds me a little of Electron blue pearl Honda offered back in 1999 - 2001 on the Prelude, Civic Si, and maybe the CR-V.

My 1st car was this colour.. I organised the money, my mechanic, dad & girlfriend to pick it up..I thought it was blue from the advert..

Clicked on the video for the SSBP GSR, then when you showed the garage with the Aztec Green DB2, instant like 👍. Two very nice and rare colorways both in great condition. I had a 99 Adriatic Blue Pearl 4 door GSR DB8, and a couple other Integras before that.

Nice score! I bought a 2000 GSR black on black leather with 128k miles last year too. You might want to see if they bumper is OEM. It’s missing the Integra imprint under the driver side head lights.
It was an aftermarket bumper. I sold the car in December.
Congrats! I also flew to another state to pick mine up. Flew from Northern VA to Charlotte NC. The car drives beautifully, it’s a GSR shell with a type R motor swap. Very clean swap!! I will also put up a video of my journey.

That is such a cool color. The side view mirrors look a lot like the ones used on the 1st gen TL.
**Was too curious, looked them up. Both part numbers are 76251-S04-Y24 and are also used on the 5th gen Prelude!

My 01 ITR California plate was 4PHA554 so yes that plate can be original to 1999 Beautiful GSR

Had this car ages ago in supersonic blue pearl.. solid but slow as hell.. I had a blonde in a v6 wrangler take me at a redlight and it had to go asap. Took forever to sell.

Tyson Hugie still solid for what it was and people literally pulled me over a couple times to check the car out. I was a speed racer at the time and power and pride was all that mattered to me. Enjoy it dude, it’s a great ride.
For the record... if you look at your cluster, you MPH and RPM is ITR. But your gas and temp is a regular integra. ITR is amber background lighting.

Congratulations on your Integra GS-R!! And I am California yes, pre-fix first number #4 on California License Plate started from if I recalled 1996 to 2003 that when 2004 they start first number #5 began. Because I have 1998 Toyota Camry LE bought new it’s was started first number #4. Hopefully that answer your question.

That California plate was original to the vehicle. Registered back in May 1999 with only 6 miles on the odometer.

The license plate does appear to have been the original as California was established in 1850 and the plate says, “150 years”

Awesome! Yeah, that's the original plate I bet. The Sesquicentennial was in 2000 and those plates were issued from 1998 to 2000. Of course in CA the plate stays with the car, not the owner, as long as it's in state. Now you can never sell it back to California, or it'll become a non-original 8- or 9-prefixed car. ;-)

Also the cluster looks to be out of an Integra Type R. The 10k and carbon face weren’t a factory deal on the GSR model to my knowledge

Rick B5005 I’ve owned hondas/Acuras for over 14 years. Civics and integras get taken over & over. Was lucky once or twice to recover or make thieves flee off. I would consider an 00-01 integra and only keep it garage and safe travel but not left out of sight.

Only cons about these integras are the antennas not working, trunk switch not gonna work, and the driver/passenger window actuator gonna go out other than that’s its a solid car had 200k+ on my 2000 GSR I had 10 years ago
